They had met in a gym, when the coach was having his speech moment. „Before tonight’s game, out of respect for last night’s tragic events, Sunnyvale will host a candlelight vigil for the victims.All player, cheer and band attendance is mandatory.” Mike furrowed his eyebrows when the people were swearing „you gotta be shitting me” or „what the fuck”.Max looked resignedly at Mike when he made a gesture of the gun with his fingers, pretending to pull the trigger and tilted his head.
When he entered the bus, it was a pure chaos.People screaming, fighting, and shouting.He though his head gonna explode when some player asked „didn’t you quit?” Because oh he wish.Unluckily for him Max had other plans.He sat down took the headphones from the box, and the music started blasting through his ears.

They all stood on the field of Sunnyvale high, with a lights in their hands.Mayor was doing a speech but Mike didn’t really listened to it.He stared at Will with some girl hugged to him, it made him sick.
„This isn’t how I wanted to be here.I wanted to be here as a fan.Our Sunnyvale Devils and your Shadyside witches, throwing down some good, old American football.Instead I find myself here as a husband. A father, as a neighbor. And, yes, mayor of Sunnyvale.And on behalf of all the people in my town, I say all of Sunnyvale mourns with you.” He watched eyes of Shadysiders, he wanted to see emotions they were feeling. „Yah, looks really like they give a fuck.The one who came here, are only ones who had to.” He didn’t really listened to Max too.He just looked at the Will and girl kissing, and mumbled something like „bathroom”.

He sat on the cold ground, opened a box and took out the cassette, with a stickers that made „For Will”. „Mike.” He turned his head to look at his ex boyfriend, and stand up. „I didn’t think you were coming.I thought, you quit band.” He looked at his band uniform. „Yeah, I did.Here” Mike kicked a box to Will, not really caring if something would break. „Is this my stuff?” He asked bending over the box
„Ding ding ding”
„Can we just talk for a second?” Will was practically running after Mike when the dark haired boy was so hurry to leave. „No” he answered not really doing anything „you broke up with me! Remember? So stop acting like I am a bad guy.” „Yeah, well, I’m not the one who moved to Sunnyvale. Okay you made the choice,I just made it official.” „My parents got divorced, I didn’t had a choice” Will said with tears in his eyes. „Come on! You just couldn’t wait to start your new fake life with your fake-ass mom!” „I am half an hour away” „it might as well be the goddamn moon and you know it.”
„I don’t know, anything!” „Yeah well I do.I know you were always too afraid to tell anyone about us.I know that.And I know that you are pretending” „You broke up with me” „what’s her name?” „You broke up with me!” He said walking toward Mike” „what’s his name, Will!”
„The fake smile, that disappears when you turn away!” „Stop, stop!” „You sought when this will end!”
„Jane!Her name is Jane!” He looked at Mike with tears in his eyes, noticing he’s also crying „you don’t get it!” „No, no, no, I do.There’s not much of a future with a gay in Shadyside.Best case is what? Dead on the mall after a double shift?Or maybe if you’re lucky, you’re the one carrying the knife.”
Will was going to say something, something that will maybe cure the atmosphere, but there they heard a scream from the field.
They didn’t expect what they saw.The whole Shadyside team was fighting with Sunnyvale team.Then Dustin dressed up as a With with a green skin got to some jock and started kicking him with his leg,Max who was in the middle of this was fighting with Jason, who was a Sunnyvale star, Lucas started attacking him after noticing his girlfriend being punched in the face. In short it was a pure mess.
