"Underwood .your late "silenus said
"Grover why are you late ?" Chiron asked. The centaur was naturally more empathetic than the satyr .in fact Chiron was the most empathetic there being the only one who had to regularly be around children due to his role as camp director.
"S-sorry I lost track of time "Grover stuttered out .oh what was he thinking none of them like him or respect him why was he stuttering?
"Mr Underwood.this is the debate that has been forced upon us all by you ,you were the one who claimed that the great god pan was dead"Maron said .
Although it was true that pan , the god of the wild,the one Grover had spent his entire life dedicated to ,had died a year before the battle of Manhattan the members of the cloven elders council simply refused to believe it .they also hated the fact that Grover was the only satyr to see the god in over a century before he apparently died never truly sat right with the other people on the council
"I'm not lying "Grover said "the god pan is dead I saw it ! We've been over this , he's gone .he died before the battle of the labyrinth!"
The grove began to close in more than it should be .the usual greenery and trees had disappeared and in their place showed a thick wall of vines surrounding the council as a whole .odd .The usal nonsense of it all was left behind as the grove fell to silence .the only sound being the faint rustling of leaves in the back ."WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS NONSENSE" the elders cried at once
"Underwood you are dismissed "Maron said quietly
"DISMISSED?! he should be banished ! "leneus cried "he's been nothing but trouble ever since he rescued that Perceus Jackson"
"elders of the council that is enough! This meeting is dismissed until the next cycle and there will not be any more questions about the god pan's supposed death "Chiron stated
"For once the centaur is right "silenus sighed "everyone go . dismissed" .the grove slowly started to recline back to it's usual form
They all turned to leave nothing but a change in the grounds patterns ever considering that they were there.
