Chapter Text
Waking up was slow for Izuku. His body still ached from yesterday, he'd probably need to wrap his arms, and ankle, they hurt like hell. Yet when he moved his arm, there wasn't any pain.
He opened his eyes, gazing at his arm above his head. No cuts, or bruises, or anything. Just healthy skin. How? He was so sure he got practically blown up yesterday.
He then looked up at his ceiling.
Wait, that wasn't his ceiling. Izuku shot up, carefully examining the room he was in. Moderately sized, door on one wall, window opposite, with the bed pressed into a corner on the left side and dresser set on the other end. What shocked him was that it was empty.
Nothing personal on any of the walls. In fact the only decoration was a blue rug in the center and green curtains. No clothes in the dresser set. The room felt more like a guestroom than a personal room or somewhere you bring people you kidnapped.
Looking out the window, it seemed the sun was still rising, so it must be morning. He gave the air a quick sniff. Salmon? Maybe some eggs too.
He carefully got up, trying not to make a noise as he went to the door.
On the other side was a small corridor with a light blue runner down the middle and pictures decorating the walls.
Down one side was more doors, the other lead to an open room, like a miniature living room with bookshelves, and stairs leading down to a lower floor.
He stepped out to examine the photographs. The same yellow eyed man he kept meeting, dead center, in almost all of the pictures. The people in them varied, but the most reoccurring was a teen with light blue hair and a skin condition, and a silver haired, wide-eyed, toddler with a horn.
He looked around more, there were more doors in the hall. The door to the left of the one Izuku came out of had a pastel painted unicorn on it and a name plate saying "Eri". Probably belongs to the little girl.
The door at the end of the hall had a "keep out" sign, with a name plate under it saying "Tomura". Definitely the teens. The door opposite of the pastel door was unlabeled. Another guestroom? More likely a bathroom.
He was cut from his thoughts as he heard someone approach. He turned to see the light haired teen, Tomura, walking up the stairs. His heart pounded as he looked for an easy exit.
"Oh, you're awake already, good" the teen said, in a high raspy voice, with a bored expression, "come on, breakfasts ready". Tomura motioned for Izuku to follow as he walked back down the stairs. Izuku hesitantly followed, legs shaking, making sure to keep enough distance to where he could run if need be.
The stairs lead down into what seemed to be the actual living room, with bookshelves and a TV in front of a long couch. There was a sliding screen door that lead into a, library? 'A lot of books in this house. '
To the left was a hall way leading deeper into the house, and to the right was a dinning room, with a kitchen connected to it. The teen moved toward the long dining table, Izuku followed.
At the table sat the light haired girl, Eri, who seemed smaller in person, feet dangling off her chair. Next to her was the man, Chisaki if he was remembering correctly, setting down a plate of Tamako kake gohan (creamy rice egg) with grilled salmon and a small bowl of miso soup.
Sensing the new arrivals, Chisaki lifted his head, smiling softly, he didn't have a mask on this time. "Have a seat anywhere, I'll get your plates." he said before walking into the kitchen. With no other option, Izuku sat at the corner, across from the girl. Tomura sat down next to him, making him tense.
It didn't take long for Chisaki to come out with an more plates and bowls, these in bigger portions than the one he gave Eri. He set the dishes down in front of Tomura and Izuku, the teen quickly digging in while the boy just waited. Chisaki left back to the kitchen for a second, getting himself a plate, before sitting down at the head of the table on Izukus right.
The man cleared his throat, making him jump. "Izuku, this is Eri and Tomura" he said, pointing to each one, "Eri, Tomura, this is Izuku, he'll be staying with us", something about the cold, calculating voice Chisaki spoke with made Izuku shiver, even though it was warmer than the other times he'd talked.
"Cool" rasped Tomura between bites. "Are you our new nii-san?" Asked Eri, tilting her head in a way that was too cute for her own good. Izuku almost cooed before he registered what she said.
"W-what?!" he said loudly than he wanted to. "He didn't tell you?" Tomura replied, mouth hanging slightly agape.
"He was unconscious, I couldn't" Chisaki said, not a single ounce of regret in his voice "It's not like you had anywhere else to go."
While that was true, how did he know!? The only time he met the man after Inko left was when he was almost blown up!
Wait. . .
The meeting in the shady alley way. In fact, the constant meetings. Outside the store, in the park, public enough where it could be brushed off, but almost everyday, sometimes multiple times a day, he'd see the man, he'd talk to the man.
How had the man find him every time? Was he a villain? Did he work for a gang? But then how could he afford a two story house and raise 2 kids? Villainy didn't pay well. Unless. . .
Looking around, Izuku could see a few symbols. Small, very well hidden symbols. The Shia Hissaikai.
But it didn't make any sense, he didn't sense anything bad coming from him, no ulterior motives, or rude comments. He was kind, kinder than his own mom, defiantly kinder than everyone else he met. And the two others in the room seemed comfortable and happy, especially Eri. It all confused him.
"Don't worry, he did the same to me, stalked a bit, then picked me up when I was in danger" Tomura said, trying to ease Izuku, he probably was making a weird face, "I think it's a habit"
That got Tomura a side eye from Chisaki. "I didn't do it with Eri"
"Because she was given to you before you could"
An uncomfortable silence persisted. Uncomfortable for Izuku at least. There seemed to be a sort of challenge between Tomura and Chisaki, daring the other to say something more.
Before the tension could get worse, Izukus stomach growled, shocking the other from their staring contest. "Guess you should eat before it gets cold" Chisaki chuckled while Eri giggled.
Izuku flushed with embarrassment. He didn't know why, but he was oddly comfortable. Maybe because it reminded him of a time before the diagnosis, when his mom would joke around while cooking, inviting Izuku to help crack eggs.
It made him a little sad knowing it wouldn't happen again, but he had long since mourned it. Now he was used to never being able to experiencing it again. So it felt weird being in this environment again, laughter, jokes, calm. No screaming, or insults, or names, just calm happiness.
He still felt awkward being surrounded by strangers. Even Chisaki was only an acquaintance at this point.
Izuku ate slowly, stuffing his face and taking his time chewing so he wouldn't have to talk.
It didn't really work though. "I'll give you a proper tour after breakfast" said Chisaki, getting up to take his and Eri's plates to the kitchen, with Tomura still eating along with Izuku.
"He really is a good dad once you get to know him" Tomura said after a few seconds. "Papa's the best!" agreed Eri. It surprisingly helped calm Izuku, although he was still uncertain.
It didn't take long for Chisaki to come back for the rest of the plates, Izuku and Tomura finishing while he was gone. And just as he said, Chisaki took Izuku on a full tour of the house.
The sliding door at the end of the living room was indeed a small library, with a small reading space in the center. To the left of the stairs (coming down) was small hall that snaked leading to the Genkan. A small closet next to it. In the corner on the hall was two doors. One led to the bathroom, while the other led to Chisakis personal office.
Upstairs in the miniature living room was another door, opening into Chisakis room, and the unlabeled door leading to the main bathroom.
The rest of the day was spent, hanging out? Sort of. Chisaki of course layed out the general rules:
Everyone has their own curfew, Izukus being 9 for now, but it'll be moved to 10-10:30 after a few weeks.
Every mess you make you have to clean up. If you need help, then ask.
No cursing around Eri.
There is a chore list that'll be updated to add Izuku once he gets settled in.
Keeps talks about Chisakis work to a minimum around Eri.
Curfew means when you're in the house, bed time is an hour past curfew.
Any exceptions to the rules will be decided by Chisaki and Chisaki alone.
Don't be afraid to ask questions.
After that Eri took Izuku to her room to play. They had a very interesting conversation about the effects that mass deforestation were having on the local unicorn population over fake tea. Tomura said something about how the unicorns had it coming. Izuku then found out how good Tomura looked in tutu.
Lunch was had then Chisaki had to go do business. What business? Izuku doesn't know. So he, Tomura, and Eri watched some old Disney movies. He hadn't watched many movies that weren't hero movies, so this was an interesting change.
It didn't take long for Chisaki to get back, smelling a bit like iron, and start working on dinner. Afterwards Eri was sent to bed, and Tomura invited Izuku to his room.
"Sooo" Izuku shifted uncomfortably on the bean bag, "What does Chisaki do exactly?"
"Huh?" Tomura said, pausing his game and leaning back in his chair. "Well, it depends"
"Depends on what?"
"How much you wanna know?"
Izuku paused, he already knew a lot, the answer would just be confirmation really, and he would literally tear himself apart if he didn't get an answer.
"I already have an idea, but I just want confirmation"
Tomura scoffed, "Alright, tell me what you think, and I'll disprove it."
"He works for the Shia Hissaikai, right? Their symbols everywhere, and he was wearing a bird mask before he kidnapped me. So that must be it!"
The teen paused for a minute, eyes wide and mouth agape. Recollecting himself he said, "Close, he runs it."
Izuku froze, the leader, of one of the most powerful yakuza groups, had kidnapped him.
"Don't worry, he keeps us out of it, unless you want to be apart of it. In all honesty, you're probably better off here."
Izuku didn't say anything besides "I'm going to bed now" and leaving to the guestroom.
Izuku laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out what to think about it. About this. About the situation.
He was essentially kidnapped. Kind of? Izuku did ask to go with Chisaki, and he promised to help make people listen to him. Being the Yakuza head, he would have the power to do that. But did Izuku want revenge? Maybe. . .
But only villains got revenge!
It's not like he could be a hero. And now that he's essentially part of the Yakuza, there's endless possibilities for him!
But what about mom? Kacchan?
Mom left, she doesn't care, not since the diagnosis. And Kacchan would rather end Izuku himself if given the choice.
What if it's a facade? What if Chisaki doesn't actually care?
Then I'll leave. I'll leave and never trust again.
What if he does care?
Then I'll stay, I'll stay and get revenge on everyone.
With that, Izuku fell asleep, content with the future for once in his life.
