FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - On a flight back from Raleigh, where the Metros defeated the Hurricanes 3-1, the team’s chartered plane experienced engine failure and had to make an emergency landing in Ottawa. We are grateful this plane incident resulted in zero casualties, but out of an abundance of caution, all players and staff were transported to Ottawa General for evaluation. We would like to thank the flight crew and hospital staff for all their care with this unfortunate incident. We would also like to thank our fans for all their thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow night’s game against Toronto will be rescheduled at a later date. Our entire roster will be ready to play the Admirals at Montreal this coming Friday. Go Metros!

The MLH would like to acknowledge an incident that occurred with the Metros recent flight out of Raleigh, and express gratitude the team landed safely. Reports of engine failure will be investigated rigorously, as player safety is our utmost concern. Be sure to support our boys when they take the ice again Friday.
