Notes:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS MY FIRST EVER FANFIC THAT I ACTUALLY FINISHED WOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

to those that have read this ever since I wrote this (like my friends, who I love very much), thank you guys for being here. I know that when I had made this wasn't like, 5 or so months ago or whatever, but this is still my first ever fanfic that I actually finished without forgetting and writing other fanfics that made me not finish this.

anyways, have fun reading this, because its time for our boy Parrot to find out who Hyacinth is ehehehehehhehe- >:DDDDD

Chapter Text

“Parrot! Come look!” She said with so much joy, pointing to where they wanted him to look at. It was butterflies, which was rare, but there were some butterflies crawling their way out of their chrysalis. Some had beautiful blue wings, some yellow or green, most orange. It was pretty seeing them fly around the garden, before already getting food from the flowers.

————

“Hey Hyacinth, do you think you could show Parrot where the stuff is?” Flower asked, having her hands full at that moment. He remembered why he needed a shovel, it was because his old one had broken, and needed a new one. He remembered laughing when they tripped and fell because she wasn't looking what was in front of her, and it was a funny moment for all three of them, even if Parrot hadn’t heard Hyacinth laugh, he knew just from his body language.

————

“Flower? Why aren’t you eating?” Parrot asked one time, when everyone (or most of the farmers) had gathered in one cabin (which wasn’t a cabin but whatever) for a monthly dinner party, and to introduce Parrot to everyone that hadn’t met him yet. But during that, he noticed Flower wasn’t eating, just picking at her food and giving some of it to others that wanted whatever was on it.

————

… Even though he might have not gotten close to Flower as much as Hyacinth did, he still missed her.

Speaking of Hyacinth, he was silent. I mean, he was always silent, but ever since he told Parrot to move, it was unusually quiet. Maybe it’s because Flower always filled the silence with whatever she had in mind.

But now, it was just him and Hyacinth.

The only moments that were broken was whenever Hyacinth needed to splash invis on himself before getting back in the boat, which only just led to more uncomfortable silence.

It took hours before Parrot and Hyacinth found a place to settle at, as it was beginning to turn night. Parrot and Hyacinth grabbed some wood and quickly made a house along the river. It was crappy but it was something, it was at least a place to rest for a bit before continuing to move down the seemingly endless river.

Parrot put some raw meat in the furnace before Hyacinth punched him to get his attention, pointing to the sign he placed down. ‘Seems like he went back to speaking through signs’, he thought before reading whatever Hyacinth wrote on it.

I’m going to go get

stuff, I’ll be right

back.

Parrot just nodded as Hyacinth broke the sign before leaving, making Parrot now be lonely once again. Funny how everyone just leaves him, through betrayal or death. It’s like the world doesn’t want him to have any friends, but he knew he couldn’t give up, he had to get his kingdom back one way or another. He promised.

Parrot woke up, already getting blinded by the sun like always. He used one of his wings to shield his eyes from it as he blinked open his eyes, adjusting to the light again. After laying in his bed for a good minute or two, with his wing now back down and having the sun hit his face again, he sat up.

He turned his head to see that Hyacinth was laying in his bed, or at least that’s what Parrot thinks. He didn’t know, as his body was completely covered in the quickly made blanket that Parrot made for him and Hyacinth to use. He wanted to wake him up but he didn’t know if he should.

Before he could even sit up, Hyacinth shifted before sitting up, the blanket still covering him but if Parrot looked closely, he could see the back of him and his arm peeking out. Even though Parrot wanted to know who he really was, he still turned his head away to keep Hyacinth from his view to see who he was.

After a while, Parrot heard a potion splashing from beside, possibly Hyacinth putting invisibility on once more. “Morning, Hyacinth.” Parrot finally said, still have yet to look at him yet. Though Hyacinth did come into view as he came over to Parrot’s bed and looked down at him, which was creepy in Parrot’s opinion but whatever.

A few days went by real quick, and surprisingly, Parrot and Hyacinth still stayed at their little house they made by the river, even though they were planning on staying for one night before going further down and possibly splitting paths, they still stayed. Hyacinth had also became a bit more comfortable speaking too, which Parrot was a bit glad because he didn’t know how Flower and Hyacinth could stay with each other with one not speaking at all… or Hyacinth did speak, he just didn’t with other players nearby.

Parrot was walking outside when he saw something. A grave, made for Flower. Hyacinth was sitting next to it as he built it, holding a flower before placing it in front of the grave. Parrot came over and crouched next to Hyacinth, pulling out a flower as well and placing it next to the other one.

“Parrot.” Hyacinth mumbled, staring at the grave.

“Yeah?” Parrot responds, glancing over to Hyacinth before looking at the grave as well. “... I miss them.”

“Me too, Hyacinth.”

…

Silence filled the air, the river becoming quiet as well and the birds in the trees stopped chirping. A gush of wind blew, the flowers gently following the direction it blew in.

Hyacinth sighed, taking off his visor and placing it on the grave. It might have not been Flower's, but they both wore a visor and were very much inseparable. Parrot stared at it, before glancing over to Hyacinth once more.

But… he noticed something.

His invisibility was running out.

“Hey uh… Hyacinth? I think your invis is about to run out.” Parrot told him, staring back at the grave.

Hyacinth didn't say anything, just leaned against Parrot and stared at the grave.

Parrot sat still, not knowing if Hyacinth didn't hear him, he repeated, “Hyacinth. I think your invis is going to run out.”

Parrot looked over and…

…

What?...

“Hyacinthhhh! If you're out of potions, tell me! I know you don't want to get found out, please, just… make sure you have enough invis in the morning before you go out.” She always said whenever he had run out, or even almost got found out. They were always caring for him, even if she knew what he had done.

They were always there for him, and he was always there for her. It was funny how people always called them the purpleflower duo or whatever, it just shows how inseparable they were.

If only times like those never had to end like this.

He knew by now that his invis is out, and Parrot now knew who he was. But did he really care? No.

He wished things didn't have to be like this. If only he didn't let his obsession get to him in the first place. And here he is, the person he used to be friends with, were friends again but, he was hiding himself.

“You're…” Parrot whispered, his wings fluffed up in shock and in defense, Hyacinth could feel his shoulder and arm tense as well.

“I'm sorry, Parrot.” Hyacinth only said, now getting off of Parrot to give him space and continued to stare at the grave he made for Flower.

TheFlower_Here

We will miss you, friend.

A wooden sign said on it, the letters and message carved into it.

…

“I thought you died… Wifies.” Parrot mumbled, now having stood up and backed away from Hyacinth… or well, Wifies. “I'm not though, am I? It's a miracle that I survived that.” He said, laughing a bit, but it was breathless and empty.

He blinked.

The grave was gone.

The sound of the river was gone.

The trees were gone.

Parrot was nowhere to be seen.

…

Ah.

He's back.

“Good to see you're still alive, clone #1108.”
