Chapter Text

Hoseok decided to stay in the living room while Yoongi and Jimin stay in the room, quietly pondering over their choices to themselves. The silence follows up with a dubious sigh every few minutes—courtesy of Jimin.

When an hour passes of absolutely no plan, and no conversation, Jimin stands up abrupt. “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to apologize and just......make this work.”

“You really think he’s going to want to hear your apology?”

“Yoongi, I swear. We just finished an argument, are you really not done?”

“I didn’t say it to start anything, you jackass. I said it because surely Taehyung is tired of hearing us apologize. We need to show him how sorry we are. From now on, there’s no bad blood between us—until of course, when we leave it’s back to you being Satan Park.

“Ha ha. Hilarious. But I can do that. Let’s shake on it,” Jimin holds out his hand and Yoongi eyes it warily, like the younger had a bomb taped to it. “Yoongi, shake it.”

“Fine,” Yoongi shakes his hand after more unnecessary staring and Jimin huffing out impatient. The shake lasted no longer than two seconds, but that’s the friendliest physical contact they’ve had in months.

Four Days before Christmas.

“It feels so nice waking up to peace and quiet,” Taehyung mumbles, kissing all over Jeongguk’s chest. His boyfriend hums in content, trailing his fingers down the youngers back.

“Agreed. Looks like that little talk with Yoongi and Jimin did it.”

“Ugh. I can only hope so,” Taehyung sits up to straddle Jeongguk, tracing the faint outline of his boyfriends abs. “Did I ever mention how much I love your body?”

“Oh, just, I don’t know. Everyday?” Jeongguk teases playfully, holding onto Taehyung’s waist, tracing small circles onto his hips with his thumbs.

“Kinda jealous. All I got is just a flat stomach. No impressive abs here.”

“You’re perfect the way you are,” Jeongguk frowns at Taehyung trying to mask his insecurity with a joke. “I love your stomach,” despite the ache in his back, he flips them around, so Taehyung is underneath him. “It’s so soft and it’s one of my favorite things about you.”

“Oh, now you’re just trying to make me feel better.”

“Or, maybe I mean it,” Jeongguk leans down to nip at Taehyung’s stomach, loving the way Taehyung lets out a breathy laugh, squirming underneath him.

“That tickles.”

Jeongguk quirks a brow. “Oh? Does it?” he grins mischievously, lightly running his fingers down the sides of Taehyung’s ribcage. The younger laughs louder, trying to get out from Jeongguk caging him between his solid body and the bouncy mattress.

“Jeongguk, don’t you dare.”

“Don’t I dare what?”

“Don’t you dare tickle me.”

“Really? I wasn’t even thinking about that,” Jeongguk taps his chin falsely. Taehyung can’t help but laugh at how ridiculous his boyfriend is, but it gets all choked up when Jeongguk starts, in fact, tickling him mercilessly.

“J—Jeongguk!” He wants to laugh and cry at the same time, body thrashing around from under Jeongguk. Jeongguk shows him no mercy neither. “St—stop! I hate this s—so much,” another loud laugh, “If—If you love me, you’ll st—stop!”

“Hmm, what was that?”

“Jeo—Jeongguk!” Taehyung yells, kicking his legs everywhere while trying to pull away from Jeongguk’s unrelenting grip on his wrists. “Pl—please. I’m going to d—die. Babe!”

Jeongguk finally has mercy on him, letting his wrist go and getting off Taehyung with a wheeze, laying besides him. “You’re so dramatic.”

“I hate being tickled!” Taehyung pants out tiredly like he had just ran a marathon, not bothering to move from his comfortable spot. “It’s so weird how we laugh as a response though.”

“Ask Namjoon. He would know the answer to that.”

“Ugh. Way too early and way too sober for that kind of talk.”

Jeongguk chuckles some more. He leans over and kisses Taehyung. “You up for breakfast?”

“You cooking?”

Jeongguk rolls his eyes. “I guess so since you’re incapable of cooking.”

“I’m not a chef for a reason,” Taehyung shrugs before he’s holding his hands out and grinning at his boyfriend knowingly. “Carry me out.”

“What are you? A princess?”

“No. A king and I demand quality service,” he claps his hands dramatically in such a pretentious fashion. Jeongguk snorts, mumbling about how Taehyung was too much.

“I would offer you my back, but that much weight would just trigger it even more.”

“Are you implying I’m heavy?”

“Well, duh. You’re not twenty pounds.”

“I’m lighter than you.”

“Yes, I think we all know that,” Jeongguk gets up first and pats Taehyung’s thigh. “Come on. Up you big baby.”

“Fine. Will you make me cinnamon French toast?”

“You’re going to be the death of me.”

Taehyung just smiles and pulls Jeongguk down for a loving kiss. They walk out the room together and see everyone sitting in the living room, watching The Santa Clause.

“Hey. Look who’s finally up.”

“What time did you guys wake up?” Taehyung yawns and stretches, groaning satisfied when his bones crack. Namjoon grimaces, but focuses all his attention back onto the movie.

“Around seven am,” Seokjin answers distractedly. “My work schedule has me waking up so early even on my days off.”

“Sucks.”

Taehyug scans his friends and notices the two troublemakers missing. “Where’s Yoongi and Jimin?”

“Out,” Hoseok answers for him this time. “I had woken up to them whispering about going to the store. That was an hour ago.”

“Are they okay?”

“Yeah,” Hoseok waves his phone around, not taking his eyes off the tv. Taehyung just wants a little eye contact during a conversation, is that so hard? “He texted me they’re on their way back. Got held up by the snow.”

“Did they walk there?”

“No. Took an Uber.”

“Uber’s are around this area?” Taehyung asks astonished. He’s surprised Yoongi didn’t ask to use Seokjin’s car—then again, that car is practically Seokjin’s baby, so there’s a higher possibility his brother had said no. “We’re like in the middle of the woods.”

“Geez, Taehyung, I don’t know. Are you done with the twenty-one questions? I’m trying to watch something.”

“Well, excuse me for being concerned,” Taehyung replies disgruntled. He walks over to where Jeongguk was already getting started on the French toast.

“God, where is this Uber at?” Jimin complains, looking at the time like it’ll change anything. It says the Uber is there, but there’s no cars around—just parked empty ones.

“Maybe he’s running late.”

“The app says he’s here though.”

“Maybe your phone is spazzing out.”

“Maybe you should keep your mouth shut.”

“What happened to treating each other nicely?”

“Cut it out, Yoongi. We’re only supposed to act nice in front of Jeongguk and Taehyung. We’re alone if you forgot,” Jimin gives up on waiting for their apparently ghost Uber and cancels it. He tries to search for another that’s nearby and whines when the closest Uber says it’s twenty minutes away.

“What now?”

“The new Uber is twenty minutes away.”

“You canceled our last one?” Yoongi asks incredulous, like it’s hard to believe Jimin would actually do such an inhumane thing.

“So what? He was taking forever and the app says he was here when he wasn’t—“

“I can’t feel my fingers at this point. My dick is this close,” Yoongi pinches his index and thumb together, “to shriveling up and falling off—oh wait, it just did.”

“So dramatic, I swear.”

“Says the one that had woken me up at ass o’clock to go to the fucking supermarket that’s a half hour away.”

“Yoongi, please. I had woken you up at ten am—“

“Which for me, translates to ass o’clock. It should be illegal to be up before twelve pm.”

“Ugh, whatever. I’m too cold for this. Let’s just wait in the store. They shouldn’t mind.”

When Jimin and Yoongi return an hour later, the cabin is eerily silent. Jimin calls out all their names, checking all the empty rooms confused, but gets his answer when Yoongi finds a letter on the counter.

“They went skiing without us?!”

“Well, we could’ve went if someone didn’t cancel two Uber’s.”

“It’s not my fault the app had some sort of fucking glitch—you know what? No. I’m not doing this,” Jimin goes through the bags of many treats they had purchased, grabbing two rolls of wrapped raw cookie dough. “Let’s just start baking before they come back.”

“Do you even know how to bake?”

“Yes? Baking doesn’t require any special skills. It’s just all about following basic directions—”

Instructions.”

“Whatever. You say tomato, I say potato.”

“Pretty sure that’s not the comparison for this kind of situation, but okay, sure.”

The two fall into an eased pattern. Jimin works on rolling the dough into balls, placing them neatly on the cookie sheet while Yoongi works on making the cake batter, following the directions, as Jimin stupidly puts it.

After prepping gets out of the way and the desserts are baking in the oven, the two just awkwardly stand there, not knowing what to do, or say next.

And because Jimin has no brain to mouth filter, he says just that. Or something along those lines. “Wow, are we really this quiet and awkward when we’re not fighting?”

Yoongi gives a small chuckle at that. Jimin loses all his cool at that sound. Yeah, he’s heard Yoongi laugh before, all the time, if he says so himself. He’s just never been the reason for it. It’s foreign, sure, but not entirely unwelcome for an odd reason.

“Why do you look so conflicted?”

“It’s just. Uh. You laughed?”

“Yes. I also cry and smile, Jimin. I’m not a robot, I’m capable of emotions—“

“I didn’t mean it like that, you ass,” Jimin shoves at Yoongi’s shoulder, but it’s half assed and more playful than harsh. “I just mean, you actually laughed at something I said? It’s.....different?”

“I guess when you look at it that way,” Yoongi looks less affected by this all. Like them standing here in the middle of the kitchen, having a conversation that’s a bit light hearted and not tensed, isn’t out of the ordinary whatsoever.

“So. Should we watch a movie or something until they get back?”

“Sure. I say we order one as well since they thought leaving us here so they can do something fun would be a good idea.”

“Now I’m liking the way you think.”

They end up ordering Daddy’s Home 2 and laugh together at the thermostat and snowball fight scene. Jimin will never admit it out loud, but he doesn’t mind Yoongi’s presence, actually enjoying it for once. When the elders not snappy and bossy, he’s actually.....cool to be around.

Just don’t tell him Jimin said that.

When the rest of their friends come back a good two hours later, Yoongi’s scrolling through his phone with no real interest and Jimin’s half asleep on the couch with a warm blanket draped over him.

“Oh my god. The house is still in one piece and you two aren’t covered in bruises.”

“Hello to you, too,” Yoongi dryly greets his brother, noticing a shit eating grin on the youngers face. “What?”

“Oh, nothing. Just happy to know progress is being made—oh, do I smell cookies?”

“You’re late. Me and Jimin made them hours ago. Along with a cake. A little, uh, sorry treat from us.”

Aww,” Taehyung suddenly emerges from behind everyone, wrapping his arms around Yoongi tightly. He suffocates the elder with his overly fluffy jacket before he’s pulling away to give Yoongi a much needed breather.

“Yeah, yeah,” Yoongi feigns annoyance, but nobody misses the small smile on his face.

Three days before Christmas.

“I think it goes the other way so the lights can be shown on the cabin.”

“You have got to be kidding me.”

“No, really. Look,” Jimin squats down to show the instructions to Yoongi. Yoongi snatches the paper with a click of this tongue, skimming to solely focus on the drawn out examples on how the lightshow projection should be set up.

“I give up. Not only do I give up on this shit, I give up on life at this point.”

Jimin rolls his eyes, but doesn’t comment on how dramatic Yoongi is being because he can kind of relate when he feels like he could die of hypothermia right this instant.

Namjoon had thought it would’ve been a splendid idea to attempt to cook breakfast for them all. While the offer was generous, it was also plain idiocy. There’s a reason Seokjin had banned his ass from the kitchen and it seems like Namjoon had forgotten entirely why that was, or he truly believe his culinary skills have miraculously improved—despite not having cooked anything within the past few months.

So, Jimin had been rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off, Seokjin screaming in a panic and someone (definitely Namjoon) dropping pots and pans in a fumble.

The kitchen was extremely smoky, a thick, but faint, black cloud lingering in the half kitchen, half living room, forcing everyone to evacuate since their lungs couldn’t handle the strong smell anymore.

And well, that’s where it all comes down to Seokjin happily suggesting Yoongi and Jimin use this time outside to set up the lightshow. Like Jimin willingly wants to be outside, setting up something he’s never owned in his life, with someone who’s his sworn enemy, in negative degree weather.

Think of it as you two bonding! Make your brothers, including me, happy Seokjin had preached, thrusting the heavy box into Yoongi’s arms without any room left for discussion and rushed back inside to possibly reprimand Namjoon some more.

It was the second most horrible thing that could’ve happened today. Jimin apparently can’t read instructions and Yoongi can’t follow them for shit.

Huffing out, Jimin hides half his face in the collar of his jacket. “I’m going inside. I’m freezing and this clearly didn’t go as planned.”

“This is what happens when you have your brother walk all over you.”

“He doesn’t walk all over me,” Jimin objects with exasperation evident in his tone at the false accusation. “He just......wants things in order.”

“So sure. Send the two, the two being us, to work on something we have no clue on how it works.”

“He’s just trying to get us to bond,” Jimin shrugs solemnly, like he totally wasn’t against this idea a few minutes ago. “I can see where he’s coming from.”

“Bonding. We can easily bond in the cabin with warm heat. It’s the same shit.”

“Look. Talk it up with him, okay?” Jimin pretends he doesn’t hear Yoongi mimicking him, like he always does, in a overly high-pitched tone that resembles nothing like Jimin’s voice.

Jimin overhears a laugh-scream and looks over intrigued, watching Jeongguk chase Taehyung with a big sphered snowball being held in his left hand.

Jeongguk gives Taehyung a cheeky grin, glancing down at the snowball in his hand and up at his boyfriend that stops in front of the cabin with nowhere else to go.

“I’m sorry!” Taehyung laughs yet again when Jeongguk gets closer and closer, his smirk not faltering in the slightest. The younger shields his precious face by holding his arms out in front of him, ducking his head. “I’m sorry! Forgive me!”

“Really? Sorry is throwing one snowball and immediately apologizing after it’s done. Sorry isn’t throwing three continuously.”

“It was an accident!”

“Accident,” Jeongguk repeats blunt, but there’s a twitch to his lips, indicating he’s finding this all too entertaining. Jimin does, too, smiling fondly at the two.

“Yes!” Taehyung weakly reasons. He goes rigid when Jeongguk is only a foot away, snowball still in his hands. His boyfriend shakes his head and juggles the snowball onto his right hand, taunting Taehyung.

“You’re gonna have to pay the price, babe,” Jeongguk doesn’t give Taehyung the chance to defend himself any longer. He hurls the snowball directly at Taehyung’s stomach—but the fluffy coat he’s wearing takes most of the hit anyways.

“You asshole!” Taehyung yells in disbelief—he probably didn’t expect Jeongguk to actually throw it. He runs towards a now empty handed Jeongguk, tackling them into the cold snow. Jeongguk laughs loud, all teeth showing and Taehyung is no different.

They roll around, shivering when snow manages to slip into their coats and shoes, but don’t let it bother them since they laugh some more. Jeongguk looks down from where he was pining Taehyung and kisses his red cold nose. “I love you.”

Taehyung sticks his tongue out, but grins right after doing so. “I love you, too.”

“They’re cute,” Yoongi says from behind Jimin, watching the couple himself with a soft smile on his face. Jimin thinks this fond look on Yoongi is much better than his usual grumpy scowl.

“They are,” Jimin hums in agreement, looking away from the couple when he feels like he’s invaded their privacy long enough. “But they’re such idiots. Who has a snowball fight without gloves? Surely their hands are frostbit at this point.”

“Who says you need gloves to have one?”

“Um. Your fingers.”

“Really,” Yoongi chuckles. He bends down and makes a sloppy looking snowball with gloveless hands. Jimin expects him to drop it right after it’s made, just to merely show Jimin his point on how you can make one without gloves—which, obviously he knows you can. It’s just not fun when your hands feel numb after.

He should’ve expected that snowball to his chest. Or maybe he shouldn’t have because Yoongi is initiating a snowball fight with him right now, and it should be weird to see Yoongi’s little gummy teasing smile that clearly reads what are you gonna do about it?

And Jimin is probably as competitive as Jeongguk, so he glares in retaliation and bends down to make his own snowball. Unlike Jimin though, Yoongi quickly catches on and manages to run away before Jimin can throw it.

They don’t know how long they spend outside chasing each other, hiding behind Jeongguk’s and Seokjin’s parked car, hitting and missing. But when they go back inside, Jimin’s nose is runny, his hair is wet from the snow and his hands are going to need to be chopped the fuck off.

Two days before Christmas.

Jimin coming down with a cold isn’t all that surprising seeing as he freely played in the snow for god knows how long without any warm garment.

Still, Christmas is two days away and he’s wasting a perfectly good day resting in bed, burning up and blowing his brains out.

He was waiting to get chastised by Seokjin for being so careless, but his older brother just smiled and simply thanked him. When Jimin looked at him like he’s gone fucking insane, responding with a bewildered, uh what, Seokjin laughed heartily and told him he meant it for him bonding with Yoongi.

Plus, the attention, the endless bowls of soup and the cups of ginger ale was kind of easing his dampening mood, so that was a tiny bonus.

“Ugh,” Jimin’s nose feels raw and it burns when he uses a tissue to blow it, but it won’t stop running and it feels blocked and he hates everything entirely. Damn this weather and damn him.

“Should’ve never had a snowball fight with me. Should’ve just walked away,” Yoongi’s tone is much softer, less hostile and curt. There’s an obvious teasing lilt to it and it has Jimin cracking his own smile.

“And walk away without getting any hits in? You must not know me all that well, Yoongi.”

“Mhm, maybe so. But you wouldn’t be in bed rest right now, now would you?”

“I just don’t understand how you didn’t get sick. We had the same amount of clothes on.”

“I have a strong immune system.”

“Well, fuck you and your immune system,” Jimin groans, closing his eyes sluggishly. “I’m burning with envy. Literally burning up.”

Yoongi snorts. It’s quiet for a few moments, the atmosphere light and not strained. Jimin likes it, wonders why it took a snowball fight for this to happen—whatever this is. But he’s not going to question it further, it’s nice.

“Do you need anything? A cup of tea? More soup?”

“If I even think about eating anymore soup, I’m going to puke. But no, I’m fine,” Jimin turns his head so he can look at Yoongi, who’s on the couch that’s in their shared room. He gives the elder another smile, this one more wide. “Thank you.”

Yoongi breaks eye contact and shrugs with his awkward ass, putting all his attention back onto his phone. Jimin sighs tiredly and looks back up at the ceiling, blinking lazily.

He doesn’t remember falling asleep, but when he does, he swears he hears Yoongi mumble a ‘goodnight Jiminie.’

Jimin considers himself to be a very light sleeper. It’s the only explanation on why he finds himself waking up when he hears Taehyung padding around in their apartment, trying to be quiet—but failing. Or, when he wakes up to the sound of their neighbors having yet another verbal fight, as if the walls weren’t thin enough.

It’s also why he wakes up when he hears a low grumble and some shuffling coming to the right of him. Opening his bleary eyes, he can see Yoongi curled up on the couch from the dim moonlight shining through the window.

Only a few seconds pass and Yoongi is complaining under his breath some more, stretching his legs out, or well, at least trying to on the small loveseat couch. It doesn’t take much to realize Yoongi is currently uncomfortable and Jimin guiltily glances down at where he’s laying in a full sized bed all by himself—solely because Hoseok had decided to stay in the living room tonight to prevent catching Jimin’s cold and getting sick a day before Christmas.

“Hey. You awake?”

“Unfortunately,” Yoongi sighs wearily. More shuffling, more complaints.

“Do you, uh, want to sleep with me?” After saying it out loud, Jimin’s eyes widen at how that can be misinterpreted, so he quickly backtracks, face burning up with mortification. “I—I mean, you know. Lay down here? I know that couch can’t be comfortable.”

It’s quiet and Jimin feels his heart race, wondering if maybe he’s pushed the boundaries they set for themselves. They just started getting along, or so Jimin would say so, and he’s already inviting Yoongi to bed with him. Yeah, he’s kind of an idiot.

“How about you buy me dinner first.”

And gone is rigid Jimin.

He lets out a breathless laugh, wanting to face palm, but also wanting to thank Yoongi for not making this situation take a turn for the worse. “I’m broke. Sorry,” he plays along.

“Well,” Yoongi sits up, stretching with a loud groan that’s filled with pure relief. “If the offer still stands, sure.”

“Uh, y—yeah. Yeah,” Jimin shuffles more over to the right to give Yoongi some room. The elder walks over and slips underneath the warm covers, keeping a respectful amount of distance between them.

Jimin honestly expects it to be awkward. Expects them to be too tense to even move, but they weren’t, surprisingly enough. Yoongi adjusts his position before he’s telling Jimin a drowsy goodnight—and thanking him, and then he’s pulling the covers up closer to his face.

Jimin falls asleep again, this time, with a hint of a smile on his face.

One day before Christmas.

“Ho! Ho! Ho! Get the fuck up. It’s already afternoon, you lazy lovebirds and Merry Christmas!”

Jimin whines, snuggling closer to his comfy pillow. He deliberately ignores what Taehyung teasingly addressed him and Yoongi as in favor of chastising his brother for disturbing his much needed sleep. “Shut the fuck up, Tae. Christmas is tomorrow.”

“Whatever it’s Christmas Eve today.”

Jimin was just going to fall back asleep since that seems to work most of the time whenever Taehyung tries to wake him up by being obnoxiously loud, but then he hears an amused snort and for some reason his pillow seems to be breathing.

Blinking his eyes open slowly and confused, he looks down, and well, much to his absolute horror, his ‘pillow’ happens to be Yoongi’s fucking extremely comfortable chest.

Just his luck, really.

Glancing at the shit eating grin on Taehyung’s face and the disgruntled yet amused look on Yoongi’s, Jimin wants the ground to swallow him whole.

Immediately.

A very long pause and then, “So. Did you two sleep well?”

“Taehyung, leave,” Jimin is already drowning in his own mortification. He doesn’t need his brother adding onto it—god, he’s going to strangle him tonight when no one will be awake to stop him. A happy lovable Christmas will be damned.

“Just an innocent question, Jimin. Just like how I hoped you two slept last night. Only Innocently—”

“Oh my god!” Jimin screams. He takes the pillow that’s behind him and hurls it at Taehyung. His piece of shit brother just cackles, like Jimin’s misery is his entertainment, and barely manages to catch the pillow.

“Anyways. I came in to tell you Seokjin made us breakfast.”

“I thought it was the afternoon?”

“So? Who said breakfast is only for mornings?” Taehyung smiles one last time and throws the pillow right back at Jimin, whipping it right across his face with his shockingly good aim. “Hurry. Hobi said something about taking all the bacon.”

“Ugh,” Yoongi finally says something and Jimin nervously looks at him from the corner of his eye. “I’m going back to sleep.”

“Aw,” Taehyung pouts and it wasn’t a genuine one—more like a playful one that promises nothing but sheer evil, so Jimin shouldn’t be so flustered by Taehyung’s next choice of words....but he is. “You probably aren’t gonna fall asleep as easily, or comfortably, now that Jimin isn’t going to be in here to cuddle you to death—“

“UGHHH. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL IN HERE!”

-x-

“Obviously, Home Alone 2 is ten times better than Home Alone. I mean, they’re both classics regardless, duh, but Home Alone 2 is just that Christmas movie.”

“That’s an opinion.”

“Everyone can agree with me on this. You wanna bet?” Jimin challenges Jeongguk, not backing down from the elders hard stare.

“Yeah. I do, actually,” Jeongguk rolls his eyes and turns to look over at Taehyung, who was innocently watching the two argue over such trivial opinions. “Baby, tell Jimin here that Home Alone is better than the second one.”

“Ugh, do I have to pick—“

“YES!” Jimin and Jeongguk yell at the same time, startling him.

“Fine! Fine!” Taehyung sighs and rubs his temples like that’ll help him decide on which movie quicker. “You both gotta promise you won’t get offended. This is one hundred percent my opinion.”

“We promise.”

“I personally think Home Alone is better by a tad bit—“

“Rigged!” Jimin cries out in disbelief. Jeongguk cheers over his misery, peppering Taehyung’s faces with kisses to show his gratitude. “You’ve officially lost the title of being my brother, Taehyung.”

“Hey! You promised you wouldn’t get offended!”

“I crossed my fingers,” Jimin sticks out his tongue. “We’re settling this once and for all. Seokjin, what do you think?”

“If I’m going to be disowned as a sibling, I’ll say Home Alone 2.”

“That’s no fair,” Jeongguk objects before Jimin can start celebrating at his oldest brother tying the score. “He’s only choosing it cause he feels threatened—by a five foot seven inch man.”

“Brat!” Jimin shoves at Jeongguk roughly. The elder dodges on being pushed off the couch, laughing hysterically like he’s told the joke of the century. Yeah, the joke was totally original and not at all said before. “I’m five feet and eight inches.”

“With insoles, sure.”

Jeongguk hastily jumps off the couch this time before Jimin can put his malicious hands on him again. “Whatever,” Jimin huffs out.

He won’t admit it out loud, but his pride gets badly wounded every time someone brings up height—his height to be precise. He likes to think he’s subtle about it, but him reacting physically violent to such a sensitive topic, he knows he’s not as non-triggered as he wishes he was.

“I think Home Alone 2,” Namjoon says next. Jimin claps and does a little mini dance, rightfully bragging to Jeongguk about how he’s in the lead with votes now. It’s such a fact, anyways. Home Alone 2 is better than the first one and whether his friends agree or disagree, he will stick with the same answer.

“We still need Hobi and Yoongi’s opinion, so don’t even,” Jeongguk waves a dismissive hand in Jimin’s direction before he’s looking directly at an exasperated Hoseok, gaze unwavering and expression solemn. “Pick your battle.”

Hoseok groans, throwing his head back against the couch. Jeongguk doesn’t stop on giving him a pointed look, hell bent on getting Hoseok to choose which movie—and prove to Jimin on how he’s so wrong. “Why am I always caught in the middle with shit like this?” He complains.

Seokjin at least pats his knee consolingly while Jimin jumps in with a haste, impatient: just choose one already.

“The first one.”

“I always knew you couldn’t be trusted,” Jimin dramatically whispers to Hoseok, shaking his head. Then, in sync, him and Jeongguk whip their head over at Yoongi, staring him down like a predator hunting their prey.

The elder looks at the two momentarily before he’s rolling his eyes so hard. “Does my opinion even really matter—“

“Yes! It’ll settle the score. It’s all down to you.”

“I’m just going to flat out say it,” he says as he takes a deep breath—deeper than necessary—dragging it out to have everyone on their toes a little while longer. “Home Alone.....” Jeongguk’s eyes light up hopeful before the light diminishes as quick as it had appeared. “2,” Yoongi finishes with a smirk.

NO,” Jeongguk yells out the same time Jimin jumps up from the couch with his fists in the air, a satisfied “YES!” leaves his lips.

“Again. So what was the point of this?”

“To show Jeongguk here that Home Alone 2 is better than the first one.”

“Okay, but everyone’s opinion here is irrelevant,” Jeongguk starts off airily, only to take it back when Taehyung kicks at his shin, pouting in indignation. “Except for you, baby. You know this,” he takes a seat next to his boyfriend again to wrap an arm around him, pulling him closer. Jimin fake retches.

“The point, Jeongguk, is I still won.”

“We need to settle this—“

“Didn’t we just do that?”

“The proper way,” Jeongguk finishes. Yoongi looks so done with them while Jimin tilts his head in confusion at where the elder is going with this. “I’m gonna ask my followers, of course.”

“You only have like five followers.”

“Try five thousand actually,” Jeongguk corrects while grabbing his phone from the wooden coffee table. He unlocks it with his finger print, pressing on the twitter app when it goes through. “They’ll give me a better answer because they’re not corrupted.”

Or, a bunch of them are kiss asses for you, so they’ll choose whatever you like.”

“Just like how Seokjin did to you.”

Listen.”

“I’m gonna make a poll,” Jeongguk shows Jimin what he’s doing, too. “Whichever movie gets the most votes will win, okay?”

“Fine,” Jimin grumbles. Even if Home Alone 2 isn’t better according to Jeongguk’s followers, he himself still knows it is. Nobody will corrupt him into believing anything differently, thank you very much.

(Home Alone 2 wins the poll by one extra percent and suddenly, Jimin loves how educated Jeongguk’s followers are.)

Christmas.

Christmas with Taehyung can end up in all different case scenarios, but one thing that doesn’t change is how....wild he can get.

For starters, when making the traditional coquito they make yearly, Taehyung pours way more rum into it than he does with the coconut and condensed milk. And if Jimin knows Taehyung well enough—which he does—he knows his brother has such a shit tolerance when it comes to anything alcohol related. (“It’s Christmas, Jimin! Let me live!”) so watching the elder pour half a bottles worth of rum into the drink, Jimin can only purse his lips.

“I hope you don’t plan on having more than a cup of that.”

Taehyung frowns. “There’s not even that much rum inside—“

“You literally poured half the bottle. You are going to be so drunk off your ass if you have more than two cups—“

“For the last time, it is Christmas. Go hop off my dick and hop on Santa’s sleigh instead.”

“That was so weak and corny. I can’t believe you’re my brother.”

They spend their day opening presents they had gotten and then thanking each other with bone crushing hugs and smiles. They bake tasty treats—Namjoon was still banned for everyone’s sake—and then start an impromptu karaoke contest.

Hoseok and Yoongi had everyone clutching their stomaches with laughter, cheering out encouragements despite how horribly they sang ‘Last Christmas’ while Jeongguk and Taehyung had everyone grinning fondly when the two beautifully sang a duet of ‘All I Want For Christmas is You.

After singing their hearts out—Jimin didn’t participate because he needs to do vocal warmups before he sings, don’t his friends know this by now, dammit?—they all settle for watching classic Christmas movies, snuggling with one another on the couch with two bowls of freshly popped popcorn and a fort of blankets.

As expected, Taehyung ends up drinking half of the coquito by himself. So that leaves them with a rowdy, even more affectionate and clingy Taehyung.

Jeongguk’s on the receiving end of it most of the time, though, so none of them bat at eyelash at Taehyung, who was rambling loudly about how Buddy in Elf chugging that two liter coke was super impressive. Yoongi orders him to shut up because it clearly wasn’t real, you dumbass.

Taehyung pays him no mind, focusing all his attention on the movie with fascination like it’s his first time watching it.

Jimin isn’t any better. He underestimated his own alcohol tolerance because he’s drunk himself—but unlike Taehyung, Jimin is a quiet, having countless-amount-of-epiphany’s kind of drunk.

So, when he looks at Yoongi and sees the elder dozing off while watching the movie, he continues observing him in silence. It’s not much of an epiphany cause hell, Jimin knows Yoongi is extremely attractive, he’s just drunk enough to internally admit it without cringing at the thought.

He also notices how much Yoongi pouts. Even while watching a comedy, up-lifting kind of Christmas movie, his lips are still pulled into that adorable little frown. Jimin feels this urge to walk over, place himself down on Yoongi’s lap and shower him with loving kisses all over his face.

And that’s when the grand epiphany happens.

Usually being in the same room as Yoongi had Jimin scowling, and now, here he is, wanting to tell Yoongi how ethereal he looks and how Yoongi is actually sweet as hell and funny and how much he wants to kiss him and—and what the fuck. This isn’t supposed to be happening. These thoughts shouldn’t be thought.

Yoongi looks over that exact moment when Jimin’s eyes widen in awareness. Yoongi raises his eyebrows in question, but Jimin continues looking at him without saying anything.

It has to be the alcohol making Jimin feel this way, right? It has to be. Alcohol makes people do, think and say stupid shit all the time. Yeah, definitely the alcohol.

Jimin tears his gaze away from a very confused Yoongi and forces himself to watch the movie. And it was harder than he imagined because he felt Yoongi practically burning holes into the side of his face with the way he was squinting at him throughout the entire movie.

If there’s one thing Jimin is bad at, it’s confrontations—especially when he’s had one too many.

But either Yoongi didn’t care about that, or he simply didn’t know, because when Jimin dismisses himself from Movie Time, telling everyone he had a stomachache from all the alcohol—it wasn’t partially a lie either—Yoongi had followed him into their shared room not even minutes later.

“What the hell was that about?”

“I told you, I had a stomachache—“

“No, no,” Yoongi gently moves Jimin’s legs so he can take a seat on the edge of the bed. Jimin subconsciously curls more into himself under the blankets. He knows what Yoongi is being blunt about, he’s not that oblivious, but hey, maybe this alcohol in his system can give him an excuse to be.

“So what?”

“The way you were looking at me.”

“I didn’t look at you in any way or form that was different than how I used to. I hate you. I hate your guts so much. You’re repulsive and ugh, blah. My stomachache worsens looking at you,” Jimin rambles out on a whim. He knows he didn’t sound convincing, nor did he appear it. He sounded panicked, words all rushed and forced.

“Okay,” Yoongi breathes out heavily through his noise, giving the younger steady eye contact. “What the hell is going on?” Yoongi knows Jimin didn’t mean the words he had said, but he’s so fucking confused and needs answers.

“Nothing.”

“Jimin.”

“I can’t tell you,” Jimin feels himself cracking. If he doesn’t tell Yoongi, whatever they had been building between their rocky.....dare Jimin say it, friendship, it’s all gone and replaced with awkward tension. If he does tell Yoongi, he’s expecting the same results. He really has no good ending out of this situation, so fuck him, huh? On Christmas, too?

“Why not?”

“I can’t.”

“What? Was there like some ghost behind me?” Jimin knows Yoongi’s trying to make this conversation comical now, possibly sensing the youngers hesitancy, and Jimin appreciates it so much, but it’s not going to change anything. Whatever happens, whether Jimin tells the truth or not, he knows whatever they had will end today.

And he can’t have that happen. He can’t. So, “Maybeeee.”

Yoongi gives a soft smile, giving Jimin’s covered leg an encouraging pat. “I won’t force you to tell me, but the next time you look at me so weirdly like that, I’m gonna need an answer. Yeah?”

Jimin wants to cry. Wants to thank a nonexistent Santa Clause for making this miracle happen on such a spiritual day. He can avoid the confrontation he was so terrified to speak about, and Yoongi doesn’t seem angry, nor does he seem as put off anymore. So this works out perfectly.

“Lay with me?” Jimin finds himself asking before he can register what he said out loud. “Give me a belly rub?” He grins, his cheeks dusting with a faint shade of pink.

“What are you? A dog?”

“Please,” Jimin pouts, blinking cutely. “My stomach isn’t going to get any better.”

Jimin doesn’t know the exact day when everything between him and Yoongi became okay—well, more than okay if Yoongi is grumbling but climbing into bed with Jimin to really give his stomach gentle rubs—but he loves it and he’s relieved he didn’t have to explain this burning feeling in his chest at Yoongi’s warm touch against his skin.

Jimin had thought he could deal with it. Sure, he possibly, kind of, developed a tiny crush on Yoongi, no big deal. It’ll go away because firstly, crushes don’t last that long, and two, he rarely sees Yoongi.

But when he ran to the bathroom sometime in the night to puke his guts up and when he seen Yoongi come in after him, hair all disheveled and eyes all squinted from the bright bathroom lights, his heart seized.

It only gets worse (or better, depending on how you look at it) from there on. Yoongi stood with him the entire time, not even grossed out by Jimin’s vomit. The younger had cried about how he can’t throw up anymore, but he can’t stop fucking dry heaving either. Yoongi had squatted down to tell him it’s okay, rubbing his back to calm him down.

This only made him want to cry more because Yoongi is way too fucking sweet.

When he had awoken, the lump in his throat didn’t go away. Yoongi helped Jimin pack his stuff, knowing the younger is suffering from a hangover—the day after Christmas. Wonderful. And he brought it upon himself, too, so he kinda deserves this. What he doesn’t deserve is Yoongi hospitality though.

Taehyung dramatically waves goodbye to the cabin, blowing it kisses, deliberately wailing out about how it’s goodbye fairytale and hello boring college life once again.

Jimin snorts, but that’s all he can give as a response because he’s wallowing in his own self thoughts like: what happens after today? Do him and Yoongi keep in touch? Do they go back to acting like they don’t exist? Does he do something about it?

“Hey, you okay?” Jeongguk asks, sensing Jimin’s off attitude. Jimin manages to give the elder a convincing enough smile.

“Yeah. Just sad about leaving. A week off of work and class was so worth it.”

Jeongguk smiles and ruffles Jimin’s hair. Jimin doesn’t even bother reprimanding him for it, he doesn’t even fix it either. “There’s always next year, yeah?”

And because Jimin wants to drop this conversation as quick as it had started, he gives two thumbs up. “Exactly.”

For the ride back, Yoongi goes with Taehyung, Jeongguk and Jimin this time. Jimin spent most of the car ride dozing in and out of sleep anyways, falling asleep to the sound of the radio playing and Yoongi talking to Jeongguk about this new studio equipment he was looking at online.

When they finally return home, Jeongguk drops off Jimin and Taehyung first. He helps them with the bags in the trunk and kisses Taehyung by his doorstep, promising to text him later. Taehyung nods, kissing him one last time, making Jimin roll his eyes fondly. They both wave goodbye to Yoongi, who was now in the passenger seat.

When they get inside, lazily dropping all their bags by the front door, Jimin collapses on the couch with a sound similar to a grunt and relief. He feels like he could sleep for the next hundred years—as if he hadn’t just finished doing that in the car.

“Tae,” Jimin sighs, watching how his brother takes his own seat on the couch, turning on the tv when he gets his hands on the remote.

“Hm?”

“This may be a weird question, but when did you realize you liked Jeongguk?”

Taehyung purses his lips, scrolling through the tv guide, trying to decide on what to watch. “What do you mean?”

“Like the symptoms or whatever. When did you realize you liked him?”

“Well, I guess you just know,” Taehyung shrugs, nonchalantly, and this answer is so not helping Jimin whatsoever. “If you’re expecting me to like recite some cheesy ass romantic novel about how it feels like to be in love with someone, you’re so painfully wrong.”

Jimin rolls his eyes, irritated at how his brother can’t just cooperate for once without being a fucking smart ass. “I’m not expecting it. I just need to know how it feels.”

“Why?” Taehyung looks warily at Jimin. “Are you hinting at something?” And then his eyes widen in realization. “Oh my god. You like Jeongguk, don’t you?”

“What? No. Gross. I would never, Tae.”

“So then why are you asking me—“

“Because I think I may or may not have feelings for this guy. And no, it isn’t Jeongguk, at all.”

“Good, because I’ll kick your ass,” Taehyung threatens with a glare, but then he’s smirking the next, “So, who is it?”

“I don’t wanna say. I don’t even know if what I feel for him is legit—“

“Ugh,” Taehyung cuts Jimin off loudly, and wow, okay, rude. “Do not even start with that bullshit.”

“What?”

“How are you that oblivious to your own feelings?” Taehyung looks exasperated now, Jimin gingerly curls into himself. “Maybe some people don’t genuinely know, but it’s kind of common sense when you know you like someone. Fine,” Taehyung abruptly sits more up from the couch, clasping his hands on his lap in such a professional way, Jimin wants to snort. “You want me to point out the obvious symptoms of when you like someone?”

“Uh, sure?”

“Okay. Does your heart race when you’re around this guy?” Yes. “Does your heart race just thinking about him?” Yes. “Does the thought of him becoming yours make you giddy?” Yes. “When he’s around, do all you want to do is speak to him, hang with him—simply look at him?” Yes, yes and yes.

And Jimin knows Taehyung has a point. He’s had crushes before. Hell, he’s even been in love with his ex in the past. He’s not unaware of his feelings, that’s for sure. But he believes the more he beats around the obvious answer, the more he avoids it, the more it won’t be true.

Taehyung must notice Jimin’s dilemma because he frowns and walks over to sit down next to him. “What’s up?”

“I do like him,” Jimin admits softly, looking down at their beige carpet. “And I really shouldn’t.”

“Why? Is he an asshole? Incapable of love? Not gay?”

“No,” Jimin whines. “He’s neither of those and I can’t like him because....because—because he’s Yoongi,” he blurts out, frustrated.

Taehyung looks shocked, sure, but at least he’s not looking at Jimin likes he’s batshit insane for saying such an absurd thing. “Will it help if I said I kind of saw this coming?”

What?

“I mean, I seen the way you two started getting along. I expected a friendship out of this mini vacation.”

“Isn’t it so, I don’t know,” Jimin waves a hand around, hoping he’s making his point, but he knows he’s not. “Unusual? Like come on, before this seven day vacation, I hated him and suddenly I’m all heart eyes for him?”

“Maybe you never hated him to begin with?”

“No, trust me. What I felt for him was anger,” Jimin deadpans. Taehyung doesn’t say anything, but he looks like he wants to disagree. “It doesn’t make sense. You can’t fall for someone this quick, right?”

“You can. Love has no specific date—“

“Woah, who said anything about love?”

Taehyung rolls his eyes, smacking Jimin on the shoulder. “Whatever. Why did you two even hate each other?”

Jimin sighs, long and loud. “Let’s just say he told me I would never understand struggle because I’m just a naive kid. As if my life’s perfect, as if I don’t panic everyday with the thought of what am I gonna do in the future,” Jimin laughs, but it holds no humor in it, dry and hollow. “Maybe my own insecurities clouded my sense of judgment, but it angered me and I flipped out on him. I wasn’t aware there’s this book that tells me I have to be over a certain age to be experiencing struggle.”

“That really was an ass move he pulled. He just said it randomly?”

“He was upset about something, or whatever. I was just trying to help him, get his spirits all high again by telling him positive shit. I guess he was feeling like too much of a pessimist that day.”

“Did he at least apologize?” Taehyung asks, eyebrows furrowed. Jimin shakes his head no and leaves out the part about where Yoongi did at least have the decency to look guilty after the brutal words had left his mouth.

“Even if he was planning on it, I never gave him the chance. When I lashed out on him, he lashed back.”

“I can’t believe you guys have been fighting for like, nine fucking months because you two are too stubborn to apologize.”

“He started it! I was just tryna be a good friend,” Jimin groans. He kicks his feet, similar to a petulant child not getting their way. Taehyung snorts. “now that I realize how much I like him, I do regret it.”

“Are you going to tell him you like him?” Taehyung bites his lip nervous, like he’s the one that needs to confess to Yoongi. Jimin shakes his head, making Taehyung’s mouth droop down.

“I can’t.”

“And why not?”

“Because he’s Yoongi.”

“Yeah, and you’re Jimin. Your point?”

“Ugh. When you asked Jeongguk out, weren’t you afraid of rejection?”

“Well, he asked me out, but there was the fear of breaking up. Even now I still worry if we’ll fall out of love with each other, but that’s apart of life. Learning and growing. You’ll never know if you don’t try, Jimin.”

Jimin grabs the couch pillow and places it on his head, to complain some more into the pillow. If he stays like this, maybe he’ll die of suffocation and he won’t have to tell Yoongi shit. “I’m scared. He’ll probably be all weirded out and I can’t live with the embarrassment.”

“Fine. If push comes to shove, we’ll change your name and move across the country.”

“Tae. I’m serious.”

“Me too.”

Jimin rolls his eyes, but his brother can’t see it with the pillow still over his face. “Just give me some time. I’m still coming to terms with this.”

“Of course,” and Taehyung’s tone is so unbelievably soft, Jimin smiles to himself.

Taehyung had given Jimin Yoongi’s number because Jimin felt it was easier to say it over text rather in person—and yeah, he knows that’s a terrible way to confess, but cut him some slack. He also pretended he didn’t overhear Jeongguk’s not-so-subtle whisper of calling him a pussy.

All Jimin had to do was text Yoongi. That’s it. Just text him.

It was difficult to even do that.

“If you don’t tell him, I will,” Jeongguk had threatened, and Jimin wasn’t even mad at him (yes, he was), he was more angry at his brother for opening his big ass mouth, telling Jeongguk about this whole Jimin-liking-Yoongi situation like he had no damn sense.

“But he deserves to know! That’s his brother you have a crush on!” Taehyung had tried to reason, giving Jimin the puppy eyed look when his brother shrugged him off with a hmph.

But Jimin did end up forgiving Taehyung instead of going into depth about how some secrets are made to be kept between two brothers and not!! between two brothers and his brothers nosey-annoying-meddling-wanna-be ass boyfriend.

But Jimin appreciates their support—even if it comes in dramatic cheers for an OTP possibly happening (Taehyung) and false warning phone calls to Yoongi to scare Jimin (Jeongguk).

Deciding he’s been stalling long enough, Jimin creates a new message with shaky fingers, clicking on Yoongi’s contact name. Not thinking, just doing.

If he thinks about it, he won’t do it, and it’ll just end up with a contemplating Jimin pacing his room, ten milliseconds away from flushing his phone down the toilet.

Hey is this Yoongi?

So far so good.....—

And then, his phone chimes with a response not even a minute later. Taking a deep breath and bracing himself for the worst (but really though, what did he expect Yoongi to say? Hi Jimin, I know it’s you and I don’t like you that way. Sorry.)

Jimin looks down at his phone nervously.

Who’s asking

It’s me Jimin

Oh hey
Yeah it’s Yoongi

Jimin takes a few minutes on their iMessage thread, typing out a response only to reread it and suck a tooth. He backspaces. Retypes. Backspaces yet again. He finally settles on a: can we talk?

This time it was Yoongi taking a while to respond. And the worst part is, Yoongi doesn’t keep his read receipts on, so Jimin doesn’t know if Yoongi had read it already and chose to ignore it.

His anxiety grew every second that passes, biting his nails, pressing on his home button anxiously when the backlight dims.

Pressing on his screen before it can go off yet again, a new notification from Yoongi pops up at the top of his phone. He clicks on it, reading the one worded reply in the left corner with furrowed eyebrows. The one worded reply. One fucking word in nearly ten minutes.

About?

Remember that day at the cabin I looked at you so weird?
Well uh yeah
That’s what I wanna talk about

Oh
Okay what’s up?

How do I put this??
Ugh maybe saying it face to face would be better idk

What? Do I have like an ugly face or smth
Is my face so ugly it shocked you
Or like you wanna punch it

Yoongi no
Can you please be serious for once

Okay
So tell me.
I don’t have the time for the stalling Jimin

Jimin feels bile rising in his throat. He doesn’t know why he thought texting Yoongi alone would’ve been a good idea when it’s turning out to be anything but. If Taehyung was here, Jimin would feel less panicked, hell, even if Jeongguk was here, too. Like before stated, Jimin isn’t great at confrontations—and will never, ever be.

Okay so this is going to be super weird
Like you might block me after this
Or simply never talk to me again
Which is totally fine with me

Jimin, the point

Right sorry
I’m super nervous sorry??
I think I like you??
Like like like you
So yeah
There I said it

Jimin didn’t know what he was anticipating after that, but Yoongi calling him wasn’t what he wanted, dammit.

When he answers before the call can end, he awkwardly clears his throat. “Hi,” he tries to go for the nonchalant-no-I-didn’t-just-confess-and-internally-died approach, but his voice crack gives his facade away.

Jimin, are you drunk? High? Half asleep? Dying, maybe?

“What the hell? No—“

Then I can’t seem to understand why you said what you just said.

“I actually texted it.”

A long pause. Jimin holds his breath. “So you mean it?

“Of course, I do. I know it’s so random and it’s kind of corny for me to do it over phone, but I was too nervous on doing it face to face,” Jimin hears the front door opening, Jeongguk and Taehyung walking in together, talking avidly about something he can careless to eavesdrop on.

Well, this is certainly.....unexpected.

“That’s it?” Jimin frowns. Taehyung steps into the living room and sees his brother on the phone. Tilting his head, he mouths who? But Jimin waves him off.

What do you mean?

“That’s....that’s your response?” No I like you, too? Or, you’re cute, I feel the same way. Nothing like that? Jimin wants to hang up, crawl under his blankets and never come out again. This is so humiliating—over the phone, or face to face, the mortification and hurt Jimin feels is all the same.

Hmm.”

“Okay,” Jimin’s throat feels dry. Taehyung looks confused, wondering who Jimin could possibly be on the phone with to have him looking this dejected.

Before Jimin can hang up because he’s dragging this out for no reason, the elder suddenly speaks up. “Hey, if you’re free this weekend, I wanna take you out. You know. Do it the right way.

And Jimin is so fucking confused. “What?”

If Jimin didn’t know any better, he would say Yoongi sounded like he was smiling. “Just be ready this Saturday for six. Wear something nice. I’ll pick you up.”

When Jimin hangs up, he screams into the couch pillow like some teenager in love all over again. Taehyung didn’t have to ask because he catches on and screams, too, hugging Jimin. Jeongguk rolls his eyes at the two, but joins in on the dramatic hug when Taehyung calls him over excitedly.

Yoongi takes Jimin out to dinner that Saturday like he said. The elder still acted like his snarky self, but he spent a good amount of time complimenting Jimin, telling him how good he looked. They eat, laugh, and it didn’t feel all that different than what they both imagined it to be. It felt nice, comfortable.

When the dinner is over, Yoongi drops him off home. Jimin was about to thank him for an amazing night and step out, but Yoongi’s hand on his arm stops him.

“The only reason I didn’t tell you I liked you back over the phone was because that’s so lame,” Yoongi snorts. He then meets Jimin’s eyes and holds the gaze. “So, I’m telling you right here, face to face. I like you, too, Jimin.”

Jimin blushes, but tonight won’t be complete without one of them teasing each other, so, “Really? Would’ve never guessed. Just thought you were being my sugar daddy for a day with that free dinner.”

“Shut up,” Yoongi grumbles. “You know damn well you were worried if I didn’t feel the same.”

“To a certain extent,” Jimin bluffs. Yoongi gives him a knowing look. “Okay, fine. Super nervous about you not liking me back, but it’s all cool because after tonight, I knew it. Don’t think I didn’t catch you staring at me—“

Yoongi shuts Jimin up with a firm kiss to his lips and Jimin thinks this is the best way to go if Yoongi ever wants to shut him up again in the future.

“God, why’d we spent so much time hating each other when we could’ve been doing this instead,” Yoongi mumbles against Jimin’s full lips, pressing feather light kisses on them.

Jimin laughs, his smile widening. “I don’t know. Maybe because we’re idiots,” he leans his forehead against Yoongi’s, closing his eyes while humming. “But I agree. This is much better.”

(When Jimin returns home later on that night, Taehyung immediately jumped on him—quite literally, mind you—and demanded answers. Jimin, being forced, had told him about how he and Yoongi are Official™ making Taehyung yell in triumph—at midnight—and had their neighbors angrily bang on the wall.)
