Only five people get the “Royal” role? How unfair.

White-tail-monkey
Id hate to meet those people in real life… Good thing the game prevents us talking about our characters right?

miragequeen<3
They must have bribed the developers lol

1000000man
Maybe they just got lucky though? The game never broadcasted it to have royal roles anyways…

Pinkcheeks38
Maybe. But those people still suck, they should-

Katsuki Bakugou exited the tab with a scowl, sick of looking at the forum pages for the game. He had wanted some answers as to why he was a king, not that it wasn’t deserving of himself, but it wasn’t advertised anywhere, and he had no choice over his character. He loaded up the game, looking at his avatar with a slight grimace.

Race: Dracon
Species: White Dragon
Magic: Royal
Weapon: King’s Axe
Name: Hiryur

What kind of stupid ass name was Hiryur anyways? And his outfit… Well, it was definitely Viking inspired, not what he envisioned when he had first picked the race, but it suited him fine. A large red cape hung around his shoulders, bordered with furs and embroidered with gold. He was wearing what he assumed was casual Viking wear, his boots lined with the same fur as his cape, and the rest of his outfit being dark blues or greys. He sure looked like a king, especially with the crown on his head. He had gotten to pick his hair and complexion, opting for a light tan and short red hair full of braids, along with some stubble on his chin. He wanted to look older, and he thought he pulled it off well. He just hoped his voice in the game would portray the same thing. He had shaped it to be strong, like the build of his character, but also a bit scratchy. He knew Dracons had dragon related abilities, but nothing was spoiled from any trailers to short gameplays he had seen. Any kind of video that gave any information on the game was immediately removed from the internet since it seemed the producers were huge on keeping this “emersion” factor as part of the game.

He looked at the bottom right corner, the flashing FINISH! button tempting his curiosity. He assumed- more so knew from forums -the button would finalize his character and be loaded into the crown. He glanced at his avatar once more, not overly wanting to praise it but… He looked like a damn king and that’s what he was gonna fucking be. He clicked the button and blinked as the screen slowly went black, white letters appearing soon after.

PUT ON YOUR CROWN, HIRYUR.

He shrugged, scooting his chair away from his desk. He glanced at his school books, knowing he should probably study before school started again but… He had the rest of winter break and had been accepted into UA. He didn’t need to study, so he grabbed the crown, laid down on his bed and slipped it on to his head. He ran his system through the calibration, having to basically give himself a one-man pat down, but when he was done the game was ready and as he closed his eyes, the game started.

He saw stars behind his eyes, opening them slowly to see bright colors and sense calibrations. Soon he was in the game, waking up inside what he assumed was a tent with a few things on the walls, and a chest or two in the room. He sat up from his bed, looking at himself to see his avatar’s skin where his once was. He looked into the bag around his waist, taking out a small book and reading what it had to say.

THE KING OF DRAGONS: A GUIDE

You have been chosen! Welcome, your majesty, to Epic Elegy! Here you will find you are the king of the Dracon kingdom and the creatures inside it! As the king, you have control over all non-transformative dragons, but you cannot transform into a dragon like the rest of your race. Overall, you are a brash and deft king, who knows what is right for your people. Listen to your advisors! They should be able to help you!!!

He tutted at the words, at least he wouldn’t have to change his personality for the stupid game. He stood up, throwing the small book onto the bed as he walked out of the tent. He looked around, noticing what looked to be a small Viking village. Soon, people turned to see him and began clapping. He stood there, unable to think of what to do before he cleared his throat.

“Alright! Draconic people, I am your king Hiryur!! I wish to thank you for playing this game!!”

He stopped, thinking about what else he should say. He didn’t fucking know! And he could start cussing or else they’d think he was a complete jackass.

“Please! Carry on as normal!”

He huffed and went back inside his tent before sitting down. Maybe he wasn’t fit for this king bullshit after all… Or maybe he just needed to get over himself and take the role already. Couldn’t it be that hard right? Ruling over people, meeting with the other royals, other kingly tasks. He was Bakugou Katsuki! He could totally handle this!

“Hey, King!”

He couldn’t handle this.

He turned to the entrance of the tent, spotting two people as they entered. The man of the two had curly blonde hair with dark roots, suggesting a usage of lye in it, and bright red eyes. He wore a tight navy blue shirt, with leather plating over his chest, and what looked to be a fur lined shawl that reached his waist. He also wore black pants, with a red sash, embroidered like Hiryur’s cape, tied around his left leg, and tall tan boots that were also lined with fur.

The woman behind him had long black hair, with braids framing her forehead. She wore a long black dress that was missing one shoulder, but had a fur lining on her shoulders and draping sleeves. She had a lone sleeve on the side missing a shoulder, tight around her wrists and lined with fur on top and bottom. She also wore a sash around her waist, embroidered like Hiryur’s and the man, and held in place with a gold brooch. Her make-up was light, and her eyes were a soft brown, resembling wheat.

“Well!” The man spoke, “You’re the king right??” He belted out a laugh, sounding joyous as he did so, “I’m Goya, I’m one of your advisors!”

The woman then spoke up behind him, her voice sweet like honey, “And I’m like your other advisor! My name is Takari, it’s totally gucci to meet you!!”

Bakugou thought for a moment as he looked at the two people in his tent. Just what kind of game did he fucking sign up to play? He huffed for a moment, crossing his arms.

“It’s nice to meet you as well, I suppose.” He tried to sound mighty and dignified, like a king should sound. It came out well, seeing as the two straitened up as they stepped further into the tent.

Takari just laughed, leaning over a little to face Hiryur, “You don’t gotta be so tense! We’re all chill here, plus with us being your hella cool advisors, you’re gonna spend a lot of time with us fam!!” She didn’t try to hide her real life speech, sounding like a normal girl by his books.

Goya spoke up next, “Yeah! Just try and relax, and we’ll handle whatever you need us to sir!” He played the role a little more than the girl, but his dialects still came through.

Hiryur huffed again before glaring at them, “Then I’d like if you left my tent. I’m logging off.” He laid back into his bed, needing to process this game more than he thought. He didn’t watch them leave his tent before he closed his eyes, not wanting to deal with them further.

This game better not suck ass like it’s starting to sound it will.
