Chapter Text
Pucci's eyes widened as he watched the crack in the sky flicker before warping into a large circle. Wes stood still as he latched onto his hat, fearing it would fly away. The twins glanced at each other.
"Is this the end," Wes murmurs, "are we finally going to the afterlife?"
Pucci squinted at the sky, "Oddly enough—especially coming from a former priest, I don't think so—look!"
The dark-skinned man pointed at a cracked slit in the sky, showing a small town with a small group of people entering a car. The twins audibly gasped.
"Jolyne Cujoh!"
Wes took a step forward, in awe, "Ermes, Anasui—even Emporio!"
"Wait," Pucci froze, "Emporio…Wes I have a feeling that this world we are seeing is not our own."
"What do you mean?"
"I…I destroyed the world we used to be in with my stand, the force of time rapidly spinning—ultimately creating a parallel to an alternative universe."
"Enrico—"
"That hole," Pucci frowned, "that is the alternate world—holding the alternate Jolyne and others."
Wes stared at his twin in shock, blinking slowly.
"This is another chance at life."
"Would you take that chance, Wes?"
Is fair-skinned twin thought silently before taking another step, "It's better than being trapped in this void forever," he paused, "if this is really a new world, maybe we too could start anew."
Pucci was taken aback by this, though his brother had finally gained his trust, he was unsure of what the alternate world held.
"What if we were not brothers in the universe, what if we know not of each other?"
Wes lets out a snort, "Maybe that is for the best—but," he looked at his twin, "if that is the case, I'm glad to have our relationship finally reach its closure."
"Are you saying you finally accept me as your brother?"
Wes stared at his twin before he sighed, taking a few steps before he hesitantly embraced his twin, "I can never forget the past and the pain that haunts me—but through being here together," he sighed, "You grew, I grew—and as odd as this may sound, I think I may see you as a brother—but only a little." he let out a smirk.
Pucci chuckled at his words as he embraced the hug before pulling away to stare at the sky as their hands intertwined.
"I'm nervous."
"Well seeing all the people you killed be reincarnated can be quite a sight."
Pucci let out a wry laugh, "it seems it’s my turn to be haunted by my past," he glanced at his brother, "and for you to finally live out your life."
Wes's eyes widened, "Enrico…"
Pucci smiled lightly as he took a step forward, encouraging his twin to follow along. Their steps became shakier as the sky continued to crackle and shift into the realm of the alternate universe.
And soon they entered the realm. Pucci stared at the car that held the gang. Wes took a step forward before looking back, "Enrico?"
Pucci's face shifted into varying emotions before settling on a bittersweet grin, "I think you should go on ahead," he lowered his head, "this is your chance to live a happy life, I don't want to become a burden again."
"Then where will you go?"
Pucci chuckled before he shrugged, "Where ever God may lead me."
They both laughed lightly at that before their laughter grew quiet. Wes stared at Pucci before pulling him into a tight hug, before letting go.
"You should get going," Pucci smiled, "I can hear them start the car engine."
"Be safe, brother."
Wes waved at him before dashing away to the group. Pucci silently watched his twin fade away into the distance.
"Same to you, brother."
