Work Header

Paradise (Of Four)

Chapter Text

Jimin sighed as he turned the key in the lock to his boyfriends’ apartment, pushing the door open. He’d just finished a long day of work, having started early and finished later than usual. His muscles hurt from the hours of dancing, and he just wanted to lay down. He sighed as he was met with a dark room when he stepped inside, but he didn’t expect anything different. He already knew that his boyfriends would be out for a few more hours, and they’d told him to let himself in with the key they’d gave him. Jimin still lived on his own, though he spent most of his time at the apartment shared by his three boyfriends.

He placed his bag on the floor as he tugged off his jacket, hanging it up at the same time he slipped off his shoes. With a glance at his bag he decided to leave it there, turning to head right towards where he knew where the bathroom was to have a bath. It was only just down the hall so he didn’t bother turning on the light, which he’d quickly regret.

He was halfway down the corridor when he felt an arm wrap around him from behind, across his waist, a hand coming up to cover his mouth. His eyes widened, heart stopping in his chest as he instantly started thrashing around. His instinct was to try elbow whoever it was, but he was quickly stopped by a familiar laugh in his ear.

Taehyung.

He relaxed into the hold, the hand slipping away from his mouth. “You’re an asshole.” Were Jimin’s first words, as the younger pressed a gentle kiss to his shoulder in apology. “What are you doing home, anyway? And scaring me.” He muttered, with a huff.

“We wanted to surprise you.” He says, Jimin trying to turn his head curiously to look at him. His eyes caught sight of the kitchen down the hall, and only then did he notice that the light was on. Of course he wouldn’t have noticed it from the front door, thinking nobody was home didn’t help  either, but he did now his attention was drawn to it.

“Surprise?” He questioned, but only got a hum in response as he other started guiding him towards the bathroom, briefly wondering how he knew where he’d been going but Taehyung always just seemed to… know, when it came to him.

“Mhm. You’ll find out soon, were you going to have a bath? A shower?” Taehyung asked once they reached the door, which the other opened for him, turning on the light and gently pushed him inside.

Jimin nodded in agreement, turning around to look at him with a small pout. He loved the idea of surprises, but when it came to it he hated not knowing things. “I was going to have a bath, yeah.” He told him.

“Good! Go have a bath, relax. I’ll bring you a change of clothes.” Taehyung told him with a wide grin, to which he gave a suspicious look. He knew they wouldn’t have planned anything bad, but now he was curious. “Don’t leave the bathroom until one of us comes to get you, okay?”

“Why? You won’t take long, right?” Jimin asked with a small pout, crossing his arms across his chest. If they were all here, he wanted to spent time with them, not be stuck in the bathroom.

“Not long, baby. I promise.” Taehyung said, stepping forward a few steps to press a gentle kiss to his lips. “Just have your bath and we’ll be ready before you know it. And I’ll come back in a minute with clothes.” He told him, with a smile.

Jimin eyed him once more before nodding in defeat, leaning forward to steal another kiss before he turned to head to the bath, filling it with water. The bathroom door closed and he shook his head, waiting for the water to rise. Luckily it didn’t take long and the water stayed warm, and he stripped himself. The water felt amazing on his tired muscles, and he let himself relax, laying against the back of the tub.

He apparently stuck by his word, and maybe ten minutes later Taehyung opened the door, popping his head around it. He smiled at the sight of Jimin, glad to see that he’d actually decided to get in the bath. “I got you clothes.” The younger told him, stepping into the room. Jimin made no move to hide himself in the clear water, knowing he had no reason to. He wasn’t shy, and it wasn’t like Taehyung hadn’t seen anything before.

“Thank you.” He said softly, eyeing the clothes that he was setting on the counter. From where he lay it seemed to be one of Jungkook’s hoodies, and a pair of Yoongi’s sweatpants since they were somewhat similar in size. Luckily the older liked oversized clothing, which meant they fit over Jimin’s more muscular thighs too. He smiled at the choice, not saying anything against it. He had many changes of clothes for when he stayed here, yet the other three always seemed to love him wearing their stuff.

“We should be ready by the time you’re out the bath.” Taehyung told him as he made his way back over to the door, having also prepared a towel for him. “Just knock on the door when you’re done, yeah?” He smiled, to which to this day Jimin still couldn’t help but return, it was still infectious.

“Okay, I’ll try be patient.” He teased lightly, receiving a fake glare from Taehyung as he slipped out of the bathroom once again. Jimin smiled to himself, settling down. He let himself relax for a while before he actually got washed up, only then getting out of the bath. He dried himself off and got changed into the clothes left for him, sighing softly at how comfortable they were.

Once he’d half-heartedly fixed his hair in the mirror he turned to walk towards the door, stopping himself before he could open it and try find out what was going on. After a few seconds he knocked on the door loudly, waiting patiently for something.

It was only a minute before the handle turned, and Jimin stepped back a little to let it open. He smiled at the sight of Yoongi in the doorway, quickly moving forward to wrap his arms around his neck. Yoongi chuckled quietly, his arms instantly slipping around his waist. “Hey, gorgeous.” He said softly, still keeping up the nickname after so long, and Jimin still couldn’t help his cheeks heating up.

“What have you guys done?” Jimin mumbled against the others neck, still not wanting to part with him. “It’s nothing bad, right? I swear, I can’t handle another impromptu gaming night, I need time to prepare my head for all that noise…”

Yoongi laughed, shaking his head as he pressed a kiss to the side of Jimin’s head. “No gaming night, don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll love it.” He told him, putting his worries to rest. As much as he trusted Taehyung, the younger was much more mischievous. “And we’re ready for you, if you’re ready?”

Jimin nodded quickly in agreement, not wanting to wait any longer. He pulled back, pressing a kiss to Yoongi’s jaw as he did so, smiling at him. “Please?” He asked, giving the best puppy eyes he could.

Yoongi caved easily, even if he was already going to take him anyway, and let go of his waist to instead take his hand. Jimin followed curiously as the older guided him towards the bedroom, pausing outside of it. He knocked on the door, waiting for a response of some kind, he assumed.

There were a few hushed whispers and the sound of people rushing around behind the door, both of them listening in amusement. Soon the door was opened slightly, Taehyung’s face peeking around the gap. “Close your eyes!” He said to Jimin, who went along with it.

He felt himself being guided into the bedroom, Jungkook laughing to himself in the background. It was a few seconds before the hands that had been placed in front of his eyes for extra measure were moved, and he took in the sight in front of him.

Six months ago they’d added a small double bed into the room, pushed up against the other king sized one they had. It meant they could all cuddle up in bed comfortably when Jimin was over, and they were just glad the room was large enough.

But now it had been decorated, the headboard decorated with fairy lights, new sheets on the bed. The dresser on the opposite side of the room held the large TV that was usually in the living room, candles scattered throughout the room. The desk in the corner held bowls and plates of snacks and food, along with juice.

Jungkook sat in the middle of the bed, smiling widely at him, Taehyung standing nearby while Yoongi was still at his side. His chest warmed at the sight of them all, knowing they’d done this for him. He could only stare in shock, the first words out of his mouth drawing a laugh from the other three. “I- um… Our anniversary isn’t for another few weeks? Right? Oh god…”

Yoongi chuckled beside him, as Taehyung let out a small gasp in mock offence. “Maybe our official anniversary, yes.” He told him as he reached out to grab his arm, tugging him towards the bed. “But a year ago today, was the day we actually met you. So it’s just as special to us.” He said, smiling at him.

Jimin paused a little where he was climbing on to the bed, and Jungkook pulled him the rest of the way up, settling him with his back against the youngers chest. He hadn’t even thought of that, and his heart fluttered at the thought that this was so important to them, that they’d done all this. Just to celebrate meeting him.

“Are you crying?” Taehyung called him out with a loud laugh, scrambling to join them on the bed, Yoongi following closely behind. And as he suggested, Jimin had tears pooling in his eyes, but a wide smile on his face. “Aww, baby!”

Jungkook cooed almost teasingly in response, cuddling him closer against his chest. “Baby!” He copied Taehyung, causing Jimin to hit his thigh with a quiet huff.

“I’m older than you, shut up!” He protested, holding his arms out in Yoongi’s direction with wide eyes. “Hyungie! Help me, please?” Jimin asked him pleadingly, and Yoongi basically melted in front of him.

“Leave him alone, you two.” Yoongi scolded lightly as he reached forward to pull him out of Jungkook’s hold, moving them to sit back against the headboard, Jimin curled up against his chest. He sent the other two an evil grin, and they both whined in protest.

“This isn’t fair, hyung!” Jungkook protested, crossing his arms across his chest like a child. Taehyung followed suit.

“Yeah! You’re not meant to have favourites here, and yet you always give Jiminie all the cuddles!” He whined, pouting. They both knew it wasn’t true, they all loved each other the same amount, it was just the fact that Jimin was naturally more clingy towards his elder and Yoongi felt inclined to give him what he wanted.

Though Yoongi had enough of their whining, rolling his eyes as he reached out with the arm that wasn’t wrapped around Jimin’s waist, grabbing the front of Taehyung’s shirt. He pulled him down, gently enough that they didn’t knock heads, but could press a kiss to his lips. Though the younger was quickly gone.

“Okay, okay! My turn, now. Don’t think I didn’t see you guys making out earlier.” Jungkook claimed as he shoved Taehyung to the side onto the bed, clambering over to take his place. He leaned down to press his lips to Yoongi’s, who happily complied, kissing him back.

Taehyung mumbled half-heartedly to himself as he made his way to the other side of the bed and lay down at Jimin’s side, resting his head on the olders waist, who gently played with his hair. Eventually Jungkook pulled away to snuggle against Yoongi’s other side, draping his arm over his stomach so that he could trace his thumb over Jimin wrist that was settled there.

The four of them spent hours watching various movies, eating and drinking the stuff set out for them. Jimin didn’t even realise how long had passed, how many movies they’d watched until he felt the other three fidgeting around him. Eventually he rolled his eyes, sitting himself up. “Do you guys need the toilet or something? You’re wiggling around like children.” He accused.

Taehyung and Yoongi at his sides glanced at him, and Jungkook who was laying across his legs tilted his head back to look up at him. They all seemed to share a glance, causing Jimin to pout as he didn’t understand. Before he could question, he was being tugged on top of Taehyung's chest, who was now laying on his back and smiling widely up at him. “Hi.”

Jimin laughed quietly, raising an eyebrow. He leaned down to peck his lips, humming softly. “Hello. Can I help you?” He asked, curiously.

He vaguely heard Yoongi and Jungkook moving around behind them, but he instead focused on Taehyung who shook his head, before leaning up a little to kiss him again. They were soon pulled out of their moment when Jimin received a light smack to his ass, courtesy of Jungkook.

Jimin lifted his head with a half-hearted glare, to be met with an innocent smile, where the younger sat beside Yoongi. He eyed them suspiciously, the older sitting with his hands behind his back, Jungkook basically bouncing where he sat.

“What are you two doing?” He asked, acknowledging Taehyung who was sitting at his side, also with a suspicious smile on his face. “Close your eyes.” Taehyung told him, for the second time today. Jimin simply gave a suspicious look, but did as he was told.

“Now, hold out your hand. Or hands, whatever floats your boat.” Jungkook’s voice came in a teasing tone, and Jimin laughed but held both of his hands out. There was movement in front of him, before there was a weight in his hand. He tilted his head curiously, waiting to be told what to do now.

“You can open your eyes.” Taehyung told him, and he did so, to be met with the sight of a black box in his palm. He glanced from it, to between the three of them curiously. “And now open it.” He encouraged.

Jimin tried not to grow nervous under the three pairs of eyes watching him intently, even though he was more than used to them. He looked to the box as he placed it in one hand, using the other to slowly open it, his heart beating in his chest. And what it eventually revealed was… his key, for their house. With a small frown in confusion he went to pick it up, though found a new keychain attached to it. He discarded the box to pick it up and inspect it, turning it over to read what was engraved on it.

‘Welcome Home ♡’

Jimin looked up at them slowly, with curious and questioning eyes, only to be met with soft smiles. He opened his mouth to question them, but Yoongi beat him to it.

“Move in with us?” Yoongi asked him quietly, and Jimin’s eyes widened. He looked down at the keychain in his hands, everything taking a while to click into his mind, his eyes watering. “Jimin?” The older spoke up again, his voice sounding hesitant.

He didn’t bother giving a response, lunging himself forward, barely giving Yoongi a chance to register that he was moving before he was throwing himself again his chest. “Yes. Yes, yes. Please, yeah.” He chanted as he curled up to his chest, having thrown the older onto his back.

He felt him laughing beneath him, and the weight of two other bodies pressing against his side joined them. He turned his head to be met with Jungkook’s wide smile, eyes sparkling. “Really? You’ll move in with us?” He asked.

Jimin nodded, lifting his head off Yoongi’s chest to press a gentle kiss to the youngers lips. “I’ll move in, yeah. Of course.” He breathed with a weak laugh, turning his head in the opposite direction to be met with Taehyung’s lips this time. He gave him a smile when he pulled back, which was returned.

A hand brushing through his hair made him look up again, resting his chin on Yoongi’s chest as he looked up to him. “I love you, gorgeous.” The older told him, and he leaned up to also give him a soft kiss, a light red dusting his cheeks.

“I love you too.” He told him once he’d pulled away, burying his face into Yoongi’s chest again. “And you too, Ggukie. And you, Tae. I love all of you.” Jimin mumbled, contently.

“Mhm. I guess I love you two idiots, too.” Yoongi mumbled as he moved his hand from Jimin’s hair, wrapping his arms around the youngest two to pull them in closer, their heads resting on each of his shoulders while Jimin lay on his chest.

They all laughed quietly, cuddling in close to their little puppy pile. “I love you guys too.” Taehyung said eventually as he closed his eyes, burying his face into Yoongi’s neck.

“And me. I love you all, so much.” Jungkook whispered from where his head still rested on Yoongi’s shoulder, his own eyes slipping closed too.

And it was like that they lay for hours, cuddled up together as whatever was left of the movie played on the screen, but they didn’t bother with it. They were too busy being wrapped up in each other, each of them equally as grateful for that day exactly a year ago.

And even if Jimin tried to claim he was more grateful because he’d been waiting so long yet in the end got three perfect boyfriends, he’d never know just how much he’d filled that empty space the three of them had felt despite loving each other. He was perfect, and everything they needed to feel complete.

Just the four of them, loving each other more than they could express, forever.
