Chapter Text

They were in Paris for a day now, having landed here yesterday evening, being met with a warm and chilly air that had sparked a flutter in Taehyung's chest as soon as he'd stepped out of the plane. It felt as if there was something palpable in his environment, something he could reach out for and hold in his hands, something that had been out of reach before. He felt ecstatic, his two best friends easily catching sight of it, despite being enraptured by their own Paris vibe, giving a vivid picture to the city's concept of love and lights as they touched and giggled with galaxies in their eyes.

"Taehyungie," Jimin sang, clutching his soulmate's hand and pulling him into a side-hug while still having Jungkook's arms loosely wrapped around his middle in a tender back hug. "You're smiling! Why are you smiling like this?"

"I'm excited about the concert later?" Taehyung wasn't so sure himself why he felt this sudden excitement, seemingly undying happiness pooling in his heart and stomach, as if a prelude to something even better. He felt excited to find out what this could be.

"Me too," Jimin chimed in, bringing them all to a stumbling halt as he retrieved his phone from Jungkook's back pocket where he'd left it earlier due to his own missing pockets today, opening the camera app and smiling into the lens. "We should share this with army!"

They chuckled at the ball of excitement Jimin transformed into, catching his energy, and posing for the lens until a hundred pictures were taken and Jimin chose the one with their cheesiest smiles.

"Army will eat it up!" Jimin announced as he posted the selca with a short message for their fans, the three friends huddling together to read the first rush of comments. Of course, he'd been right as army was going crazy over the picture all around the world, wishing them good luck for the concert this evening, telling them how cute and handsome they were, making the three blush and giggle at the funny memes of themselves. Army was adorable and the three ate those comments up as if it was dessert, Jungkook complaining to be hungry afterward.

"When isn't he hungry?" Taehyung joked, pinching the maknae's cheek for good measure but having directed the question to his soulmate who finally slipped his phone back into his hubby's pocket, slapping his backside for good measure.

"I'd tell but you never wanted to have details about that," Jimin said, winking and turning on his heel as he walked off to the edge of the stage, his two best friends trailing after him after getting over their first second of being flustered.

The concert was going well, amazingly even, and they were all having their best time with army, singing one of their recent songs, running and jumping on stage due to the missing of an official choreography, simply having the time of their lives while the crowd sang along with them.

It was pure happiness, euphoria as the maknae would phrase it, it was perfect, and Taehyung was searching the crowd with his eyes, trying to lock gazes with each and every one of those who gave him so much love and support. His heart was bursting with happiness.

There was that excitement from this morning still simmering inside of him, the feeling more and more pooling in his chest and stomach as his eyes roamed the crowd, laughing and pulling his soulmate close when he caught sight of a purple sign, stage lights blinding him for a second, before he read out to the other, "Kim Taehyung, Be My Soulmate-in-Law."

Jimin laughed next to him, saying something about how maybe he should've done this years earlier with Jungkook, making sure that the microphones didn't catch their words, before getting back to the song and delivering a high-note that made army cheer even louder, raising his brow at Jungkook who was already on his way to join him.

Taehyung readied himself to follow his soulmate, focusing on the notes in his part to deliver it equally perfectly, when he was startled by the same feeling of sunshine tingling over his skin although it was pitch-black night. His eyes landed on the purple sign once more, diverting towards the army holding it up who was saying something to the girl next to her, the two jumping up and down excitedly before the second girl's eyes turned towards him and there was a smile jumping to both their lips as he finally locked eyes with sunshine.
