Chapter Text
Tae was beating the zombies like a pro. He already has iron armor and one gold sword. He was a champion. He giggled at how the game was bright, but it has its dark sides to it too. Like going into the dark caves and beating the mobs at night. He forgot to get a torch and immediately yelped when a creeper came hissing behind him.
“Take that poopy head.” He giggled once a creeper blew up blocks away from him.
The iPad was gradually dying but the little was too distracted by the game to pay no attention. He drooled a bit from his mouth gaping wide as he looked at the screen, zombies taking action from both sides of his character.
That's when he heard it. Two knocks and Tae yelped from the sudden sound, considering it was so quiet in the small apartment. He bites his lip and left the device down as he slowly walked over the door, waddling with his sippy cup and teddy bear in hand.
“I know, but he better be here! I know how many times he ignored my calls and...”
Tae heard mumbles against the door and gulped. Is this a bad guy? Yoonie has bad guys? He thought back to yoongi telling him not to answer the door and the younger stood back and tried to ignore but he couldn’t handle it.
So, he got up and opened the door.
There was a red-haired male in front of him, taller than him too. He had a black sweatshirt on and was talking on the phone but stopped once he saw Tae open the door. The adolescent was staring at him, eyes wide.
The male did too, but with a questionable look. Mostly on Taes appearance.
“O-oh. Um, wrong house?” The male finally broke the silence with a soft chuckle and smile, and Tae stood back, clutching onto his teddy bear tightly. He didn't know how to answer back, you can say, Tae is a stuck up and won't speak to others he's not used to.
”n-no, this is t-taes and yoonies house, ” Tae mumbled softly, not looking at the guy in front of him. He's too shy for his own good.
”Yoonie? As in Min Yoongi right?” The male said as he struggled to look over the younger, it seems like he was trying to look if someone was with Tae.
”Yes, Yoonie! Now will you pleath’ go away, I don't want Yoonie to say I'm a bad boy. Thank you!” Tae cheerily said as he closed the door quickly. The male said a quick ’no wait’ but the door muffled his sounds.
He also heard the male curse and immediately covered his ears. Curse words?! That's what only bad boys do, and Tae doesn't like it.
He ran with his ears shut and jumped on the couch. Sipping on his sippy cup as he thinks if he should tell Yoonie about the bad guy, but that would mean about telling Yoongi that he opened the door and he would scold him again. The thought made Tae whine and squirm.
--
”that would be $10.89.”
Yoongi silently payed and went out of the restaurant. He took a to go and sighed thinking if he chose the right thing for the little and him to eat. Tae should like rice and kimchi, he used to like those as a kid so maybe he does.
The restaurant was blocks away from his small apartment so he didn’t need to run, but since he was worried that someone must of broke in, maybe scare or even kidnapped Tae—he had to sprint.
The light to his apartment was on from Yoongis view when he stepped closer to his apartment, which gave him some less worry.
But he walked into the smaller, crossed arms and a pout face writing something. Yoongi walked in silently not wanting to bother the younger and his..writing.
“Tae-”
“NO, YOONIE SAID NO BAD GUYS IN THE HOUSE! GO AWAY!” The little yelled with his eyes closed holding his paper tight. Yoongi chuckled but also was curious on what he was talking about.
“Um Tae..it’s just me,” Yoongi said as he waved his hands gently at the little, who opened his eyes and started to tear up.
“T-Tae saw..bad guy at the door. H-he said he was looking for Yoonie, a-and I want to protect y-yoonie..” the little cried out and Yoongi shushed him softly.
Yoongis heart burst and ached form the littles words. Protect him? How can a small bean like him protect a grumpy old man like himself.
“Aww, little prince. Don’t worry, I think it’s just a friend or someone..what did he look like?” Tae looked away and thought. Once he got the answer the littles face lit up.
“H-he had a black sweater! And red hair, and he had a big smile!” The younger explained and Yoongi chuckled again, knowing exactly who he was talking about.
“Little prince, that’s not a bad guy, for sure. That was Hobi, my brother. I guess he was trying to check up on me since I..” Yoongis voice trailed off once he thought of the reason why he shut half of his family down.
It not like he doesn’t trust Tae, well he doesn’t. The little has such a blabber mouth that it makes Yoongis head burst in flames. It was also his business, he shouldn’t get the little involved.
He continued. “Since I never wanted to call him again. He’s annoying, brother stuff.” Tae nodded but slowly the younger realized something else.
“Yoonie am I still a bad boy? T-Tae just made yoonie brother leave—I’m still a bad boy, I don’t wanna be bad daddy!” Tae wailed and covered his face, which was also a habit when the little cries, or realizes something. Yoongi froze at the word again and slightly felt a warm smile on his face.
“N-no! You’re are good boy.” Yoongi patted Taes head and he melted into the touch.” Although he is gonna blow up my phone again because of you,” Yoongi laughed and pinched the younger’s cheeks, who yelped out small ‘ows’ with a giggle.
Yoongi just smiled and took a good look at Tae. He had his hair messy around his head and was wearing that spongebob shirt Yoongi got for him when they were shopping. He had this cute little face he has on once he’s praised, or given something he likes. Sometimes Yoongi wouldn’t admit, but he likes the presence of the younger..
..sadly.
Tae dozed and dropped the notebook and iPad on the couch. “Yoonie...I’m sleepy. Can taetae eat tomorrow.” The little whined and Yoongi couldn’t say no, and letting the younger sleep on his bed. He put the food he bought on the table, eating away as he though how long this would last.
His phone rang and Yoongi quickly answered it not wanting to wake up the boy a couple doors away from him.
“I never, ever, wanted to answer you but you just had to call me at the middle of the night!?” Yoongi whispered yelled at his phone and the other boy on the line chuckled.
“You shouldn’t be talking, Yoongi. Who knew you would bring people over to your house but not your brother?”
Yoongi rolled his eyes and bite his lip from saying anything he might apologize. There’s a lot to Hoseok then sunshine and rainbows. The boy is secretly crazy, and Yoongi knows. He really knows.
“I’m sorry for not letting you know, or even answering your calls. Did Jimin tell you about this? I’m just taking care of him-”
“Taking care of that man that dresses up as a baby? You have better things to do then babysit a grown man.” Hoseok declared bitterly over the phone.
Yoongi resisted his anger inside of him. He’s calm, but deep down he knows what Hoseoks saying about the little is not cool. His fists clenched on the table, and Hosoek is taking this as enjoyment.
“I see..silent eh? Looks like my little brother Yoonie doesn’t want to play with his big brother anymore. Sad.”
“It’s just for a few days. I don’t really care about him that much, I’m just giving him a place to stay until he acts...right.” That whole sentence was hard for him to say. But he had to not show emotion.
There was a chuckle, then a small laugh, and a full wheezing sound through the phone. Hosoek was laughing, like always. “That’s a relief! We don’t wanna get you catching feelings, Yoongi. Like we always say...”
Yoongi groaned and mumbled it anyways.
“Feelings are for the weak.”
