Chapter Text
Giyuu's heart wanted to explode-
Fuck that, Giyuu's ENTIRE BEING wanted to explode.
Like holy shit what the hell, who gave this man the right to be so smooth?!
"Shit I didn't break ya or something did i?" Sanemi's perplexed look only grew deeper when Giyuu just stared harder at the bowl that was now empty. "Fuck. Fuck Giyuu talk to me, you useless gay." Sanemi waved a hand in front of the starstruck Giyuu. "Hey, you're really starting to creep me out now." Sanemi gave up at this point, letting Giyuu just do his own thing. I mean, shit, would probably react the same if the guy he liked replied as smoothly as he did. He checked the time on his phone-FUCK HE'S GOT 20 MINUTES LEFT BEFORE HE STARTS HIS SHIFT AGAIN. "Hey, babe-"
"HEY WHAT NOW?!"
Giyuu's usually soft and silky voice was now replaced with a shriek that resembled that of a prepubescent teen. Giyuu quickly slapped his hands over his mouth, obviously embarrassed by the inhumane shriek that came out of him. He quickly got over it when he heard laughter coming from the other side of the table. If Rengoku was the sun, then the damn man in front of him is the fucking solar system.
He doesn’t get it. He really doesn’t.
How can the scary tattoo artist, who only speaks in bold and loud swear words, look this precious?
Giyuu felt his heart flutter, this terror of a man turned into a bundle of sunshine from Giyuu’s accidental shrieking. He didn’t think of it as his proudest moment but now seeing that it made Sanemi laugh, he sure is adding it to his list of talents.
He stared at Sanemi, who was still laughing, in a daze. Giyuu’s cheeks went from peaches to tomato when he realized he was absolutely smitten with Sanemi.
Sanemi stopped laughing when he felt Giyuu’s intense gaze on him, “What? Never seen a man laugh before” he coughed awkwardly. “I have. Just pretty shocked on how a scary guy like you can let out such a pure laugh” Giyuu said smoothly as he took a sip from his water. Sanemi felt his blood rise, he couldn’t tell if it was from flattery or irritation, “You little-” He just huffed and let Giyuu win.
‘ Two can play it that way fucker’ Sanemi smirked
“Hey babe, let’s make this quick. We’ve got-” He paused to look at his watch, “15 minutes left before my shift starts. I really really like you and I wanna take you out sometime again.” He smiled at Giyuu who was obviously red despite covering his face with his hands. Sanemi took one of Giyuu’s hands off his face, “What do you say babe?” Giyuu’s still silent and desperately trying to cover his face with just one hand.
“Fuck off when did you get so smooth?” Giyuu said as he buried his face on the table. “Last time I checked you were an asshole who just spoke carelessly about anything that’s in your mind” Giyuu whined, thinking of how criminally smooth Sanemi was. Perhaps you could call him, a smooth criminal.
“I still am someone who speaks carelessly, minus the asshole part. What do you think I’m doing now?” Sanemi gripped Giyuu’s hand slightly. “Babe come on, you can just reject me ya know. You don’t have to force yourself to say yes if you don’t want to-” “Yes, what the fuck, yes you idiot. I want you to take me out on a date again!” Giyuu exclaimed, now looking straight at Sanemi, face still sporting a fierce blush. Sanemi just smiled fondly at him, “Let’s go, I’ve got an appointment after lunch.”
They paid for their meals and exited the cafe, Sanemi refusing to let go of Giyuu’s hand and was even bold enough to intertwine their fingers together. They walked in comfortable silence, although there has been a question that’s been bothering Giyuu ever since he said yes to Sanemi’s request of taking him out again,
“What does this make us?” Giyuu blurted out, unable to control his thoughts. Sanemi just hummed at him, “Well I was planning on asking you to be my boyfriend on our next date but I’m not against the thought of making you my boyfriend right now.” Sanemi smiled at Giyuu, who’s experiencing what seemed like a mini heart attack.
“You fucker!! You can’t just say that out of nowhere!” Giyuu yelled, still trying to get his breathing under control. Sanemi just looks at him smugly, “What? You asked a question and I delivered.” He reasoned with the florist. Giyuu just buried his face on Sanemi’s chest to hide his embarrassment. “Well, are you gonna make me-” He grumbled under his breath, making it hard for Sanemi to understood what he just said. “You gonna have to speak up louder babe.”
A slap was brought to Sanemi’s chest, Giyuu just gruffed in annoyance. “You know what I meant” Head still buried on the tattooist chest. Sanemi wrapped his free arm on Giyuu’s waist. “You know, you actually have a pretty small wai-” Giyuu slapped Sanemi’s chest again, “Quit stalling you idiot!” Sanemi ignored the pain in his chest, “Didn’t know my boyfriend is a feisty one!” He brought his hand to tuck a strand of Giyuu’s hair behind his ear as he leaned down. “Does that make things clear?” He whispered.
Instead of replying, Giyuu just grabbed Sanemi’s neck and pulled him in a messy kiss. Sanemi’s eyes widened in shock but didn’t fight it, letting himself relax into the kiss. The kiss was pretty messy. Giyuu hasn’t had much experience on things like this and Sanemi was pretty surprised at Giyuu’s sudden boldness for him to take the lead of the kiss.
Sanemi pulled away first, trying to catch his breath. “Yeah, it does make things clear.” Giyuu smiled slightly at Sanemi. “Well fuck, can’t wait to tell Mitsuri I got a boyfriend now” Sanemi smiled back as he leaned in to kiss Giyuu’s head.
They both resumed their walking and made it just in time before Sanemi’s client arrived. With minutes to spare, Giyuu pulled Sanemi in a kiss again. It wasn’t messy like the first time, their lips actually moved together in sync, their teeth clashing less this time. They both parted, needing to breathe. Sanemi pressed his forehead against Giyuu’s, cheeks flushing red.
“I really wanna take you out to dinner tonight,” Sanemi said as he pressed a kiss on Giyuu’s hand. Yes, they were still holding hands, Sanemi refused to let go. “You have my number, use it.” Giyuu planted a kiss on Sanemi’s hand as well. “I need to go open the shop now, the flowers won’t water themselves,” Giyuu whispered as he hesitantly pulled away from his boyfriends’ warmth. “See you tonight then.” Sanemi finally let go of Giyuu’s hand as the florist stepped into his shop and waved him goodbye. Sanemi waved back and went inside the tattoo shop, grinning like an idiot.
He definitely couldn't wait to rub it in Mitsuri's face that he managed to ask Giyuu out before she could ask Shinobu out.
