Chapter Text
Taehyung is slowly woken up by a ray of sunlight shining onto his face. He groans and rolls over, wrapping his arms around the warm body next to him and sighs as he tries to fall back asleep. The fact that the person doesn’t smell anything like his boyfriend doesn’t bother him in his half unconscious mind and he slings his leg over their waist, snuggling further into their back. The feeling of another smaller hand finding his and tangling their fingers together lulls him back into a peaceful sleep, a smile pulling at the corner of his lips.

A few hours later, Taehyung is woken up once again but this time by the person in front of him pushing his leg off and turning onto their back, quiet complaints of “too hot” mumbled into the still morning air. Taehyung opens his eyes and blinks at the light let in by the open curtains that they must have forgotten to close last night before stumbling into bed.
Slowly he pushes himself up onto his elbow to look over the two sleeping boys beside him, Jimin’s hand still tightly intertwined with his on top of Jeongguk’s stomach; who sleeps in between his two hyungs with a small frown on his brow. Grinning at the sight, he untangles his hand from Jimin’s and gently pushes at the frown lines on Jeongguks forehead before smoothing them out and then brushing his hand through Jimin’s hair.
After laying in bed for a few more minutes, he decides to get up and maybe surprise his two friends with breakfast in bed, figuring it’s the least he could do as repayment for them taking care of him last night. Managing to push himself into sitting up, he rubs at his eyes and takes one last look at the two boys in bed before standing up. He shuffles over to the open window and gazes out at the busy city below them, the sun high in the sky telling him that they slept for a lot longer than he had thought. Shaking himself out of his thoughts, he stretches his arms high above his head and yawns before pulling the curtains shut and making his way out to the kitchen.
He stands in the middle of the kitchen, glancing around at all the cupboards wondering what he should even make for breakfast seeing as he’s not exactly the best chef out there. Eventually he decides on pancakes and quietly travels around the kitchen collecting all the ingredients and utensils he needs, only stopping when he hears his ringtone coming from the living room. He quickly tries to set everything down onto the counter without making too much noise and runs to answer his phone before Jimin and Jeongguk are woken up.
“H-hello?” He stumbles over his words in his rush to answer the phone, not even looking at the caller ID.
“Taehyung?” His manager's voice crackles through the speaker, the man obviously driving with his phone on speaker. “I’ve tried calling you all morning, were you sleeping?”
Cursing under his breath, he brings the phone away from his ear to check the time, a bright 11:38AM glaring at him from the screen.
“Shit, Hyung. I slept in.” He stumbles around the living room as he gathers all his belongings into his arms, surely making enough noise to wake up the two in the other room. “I’ll get ready right now.”
“If you can be ready in half an hour, we can still make it without being late to the shooting location.” Taehyung hums as he rushes into the bathroom and flips on the shower while trying to simultaneously take his shirt off, struggling to continue listening to his manager. “This is the third time you’ve-” Taehyung gasps in pain as his hand brushes past his eye, reminding him of the giant bruise he received last night.
“Ah fuck!” Hesitantly he turns towards the mirror and sees his eye for the first time, and all of a sudden Jimin’s reaction last night made more sense. He registers his manager calling out for him and he takes a deep breath, knowing the scolding he’s about to get. “Uhmm.. We may have a problem..”
“What do you mean?”
This is not going to be fun.
“Well, you see..” Taehyung stalls, trying to think of the best way to explain last night. He winces at a sharp ‘hurry up’ from his manager, and drums his fingers against the bathroom counter as he speaks. “I was out last night with a friend, and I guess this guy knew who I was and didn’t exactly... like me… shortstoryshortIhaveablackeye.” He rushes out and squeezes his eyes shut as he waits for the scolding.
There’s a long pause before his manager speaks, and in the silence he can hear the sound of the car turning off on the other end of the phone. “Sorry, what?”
“I’m sure it can be covered up with some makeup, it’s not that bad…” He winces at his blatant lie. Glancing back at his reflection, he knows well that the purple would show up through any amount of makeup due to the professional cameras. His manager doesn’t reply and he can hear the sounds of him sighing and typing something on his phone.
“I’m cancelling this shoot.”
“W-what!?” Taehyung’s eyes go wide at the words and he stutters at the sudden decision. “Hyung pleas-”
“No! Taehyung you are much too irresponsible! I’m cancelling all your upcoming shoots until you can take this seriously.” Barely registering the words, Taehyung sinks down to the bathroom floor and leans his back against the counter.
Why? Why would his manager suddenly cancel everything? This could ruin any reputation he has built up as a model.
“No! Hyung you can’t… This- this is my life!” He feels tears start to well up and his body starts to shake with the fear of losing his dream.
“Look, when you’re healed and can finally look at this as a profession instead of paying all your attention to that boyfriend of yours, we can look at scheduling you again. Two weeks, Taehyung. Clean up your act.” And with that the call is ended and Taehyung is left listening to the dial tone endlessly echo throughout the bathroom.
He doesn’t even notice when the bathroom door slowly opens and someone turns the shower off before crouching in front of him and brushes the hair back from his face.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Jimin’s gentle voice brings Taehyung’s eyes up to meet his boyfriend’s soft gaze. He didn’t even realize that the tears had started to fall down his cheeks until he felt Jimin’s thumbs wipe them away. Wordlessly, he reaches up and wraps his arms around Jimin’s shoulders and quietly sobs into his neck, not wanting to make a scene. Jimin running one of his hands soothingly up his back and the other gently massages the back of his head, patiently waiting for him to calm down.
“Let’s go back to bed, Guk’s waiting.”

For the third time that day, Taehyung wakes up in Jimin’s bed but this time he is the one cuddled between his boyfriend and best friend. He hears soft voices above him and feels someone gently holding his hand in the most comfortable way that it could only be Jimin.
“So he didn’t say anything?” Jeongguk’s voice murmurs from behind him, meaning that the person in front of him that he’s been clinging to is Jimin.
“No… I couldn’t hear much of what happened because of the shower.” Taehyung feels Jeongguk shift behind him and the arm draped across his waist is suddenly gone and instead feels knuckles brush against his cheek .
“I can tell you’re awake.” Jeongguk states. With no more reason to pretend to be sleeping Taehyung slowly opens his eyes and is greeted by Jimin smiling softly at him, his head resting on the same pillow as him.
“Afternoon, sleeping beauty.” He smiles lightly at Jimin’s words and squeezes his hand before letting go, only to slide his hand around Jimin’s waist to pull him closer.
“I’m sorry about breakfast… I’ll make dinner..” He looks down from Jimin’s face and instead focuses on the rise and fall of his chest, feeling a bit embarrassed that he had been found crying on the bathroom floor.
“ah, actually.. I ordered some for us. I hope that’s okay.” Taehyung hummed at that as Jeongguk shifted again and that’s when Taehyung realized that he must be feeling anxious being in the same bed so close to him right in front of his boyfriend. Jimin, having realized the same thing, reaches over Taehyung and pulls Jeongguk’s arm back over his boyfriend’s waist before settling his own on top. Jeongguk slowly relaxed in the position and moved closer so he didn’t have to hold his arm at an awkward angle, pressing his face into the pillow.
“Do you want to talk about what happened, Tae?” Jimin questioned as he watched Jeongguk settle in and then moved his eyes to Taehyung’s face for any uncomfortable expressions.
“Maybe tomorrow. I’m too comfortable to get upset.”
“The hyungs are probably a little worried since we haven’t messaged them all day…” Jeongguk’s voice was muffled slightly by the fabric of the pillow. Jimin giggled softly and patted Jeongguks arm.
“Yah, I’m sure they can wait until tomorrow.” Jimin leaned forward to place a quick peck on Taehyung’s lips, Jeongguk petitions of “gross’ and ‘get a room’ drowned out by the feeling of love and safety filling Taehyung until he no longer knew what it meant to be sad.
