Cha Eunjae was surprised when she see their apartment was fully decorated, the dining table was full with her favourite dishes and a handsome Seo Woojin with his charming smile in front of her, holding a cake.
‘ Surprise! Happy 2nd Anniversary, baby!’
She was so busy that she almost forgot their anniversary— the day where they crossed the imaginary line that Seo Woojin drew, the day she profess her love to this man that always protect her in silence and the day where she felt that she’s the luckiest and happiest girl to be able to call Seo Woojin hers!
‘So this is what you’ve been doing this morning, baby?’ She felt on the verge of tears, no words can ever describe how happy she is at that moment. However, Seo Woojin was nervous to see her like that,
‘You don’t like this? I’m sorry, I thought you’d like it.’ He stuttered and put the cake on the table. Feeling uncomfortable, he take her into his embrace.
‘ No, no, I like it baby. I’m just so happy.’ She pulled him closer and peck him on the lips.
‘ You almost put me in a cardiac arrest, Dr Cha!’
She laughed , ‘talking about anniversary, wait here, i have something for you.’
She run to their room and take a box, nicely wrapped with a ribbon and with a small card attached to it. ‘A gift for you, Seo Woojin. Happy anniversary my grumpy ass boyfriend.’
He opened them, revealing a fancy black leather strapped watch. As he caress the watch, he found interesting carvings at the back of the watch, ‘I’ll always love you Seo Woojin. Always.’
She take the watch slowly from him, and put it on his wrist. ‘I know it, it will look nice on you! Since you already wear it, remember that I always love you, always was, am and will baby.’ She caressed his cheeks carefully and put a deep kiss on his lips, ‘Thank you, my love. Thank you for coming to my life. Thank you for not giving up on us.’
Oh how the table have turned, Seo Woojin thought he’s the only one with surprise but Cha Eunjae also had hers. So like her, to be always one step ahead of him.
‘Let’s eat. I’ve prepared your favourite.’
The dinner was filled with talks, laughs and the two of them, in love. It was perfect and enough, more than Cha Eunjae could have ever imagined!
‘Thank you for this wonderful years Seo Woojin and a beautiful day you’ve prepared. I don’t know you’re this hopeless romantic.’
‘I try baby, for you. Only for you. So Cha Eunjae,..’ he knelt down in front of her,
‘Eunjae ya, there are no times that I felt unhappy around you. I’ve always been alone, no one to protect and no one would protect me, I’ve no reasons to keep going and no reason to go either, but you’ve showed me infinity reasons why I should live. I want to love you, to protect you, to make you happy and to be a better person, for you, Cha Eunjae and maybe have beautiful childrens that have your beautiful honey brown eyes, your nose and your sweet lips. So, will you be my forever, baby?’
Cha Eunjae was surprised seeing him on his knees, and ofc she would love to say yes right away, but before that, aha, she want to tease him. It’s this once or never! So she remained silent, and stared blankly to his dark brown orb,
It was such a nerve-wrecking moments ever, all sorts of things running in his head, what if she says no, what if she laughed, what if she’s not ready, does he really deserved that angel, what should he do if she said no, what if she run away?
This silent stare almost send him to the ER but he decide to break the silence,
‘Yah, why are you not saying anything? I’m sorry, did I rushed things? I just thought that, you know.. ’ he has mixed feeling— ashamed, sad, broken but it went away when Cha Eunjae pulled him for a hug.
‘Hahaha. My answer is YES SEO WOOJIN, I’ll be your forever!’
‘Yah, that’s not nice of you teasing me like that!’
‘For that face you show me just now, I didnt regret a thing baby. Now give me the ring.’
He slowly put the vintage diamond rind on her ring finger and kissed her hand. Cha Eunjae looked so mesmerizingly happy and that get him to fall in love all over again! He can’t asked for more than a happily forever ever after with this angel. She clings to his neck and sway around.
To end the day, he play their utmost fav song on his phone , Your Day by Gummy.
‘I love you Seo Woojin.’
‘and I love you more Eunjae ya.’
‘Hey, my love is bigger than yours.’ He chuckled upon hearing his fiance’s statement.
‘You and your competitive ass, okay okay, we love each other so much.’ As he pinched her nose and pulled her for a deep sweet kiss.
