Chapter Text
Asashi was a simple baby, if he liked something it seemed to entertain him for hours. Sometimes it was the TV remote, other times it was a block that he'd chew on, and sometimes it was the light switch.
Denki would spend his time turning the light on and off for Asashi, much to the baby's delight. He'd let out the most adorable little giggles as the light flickered around him. Hitoshi watched as his little giggled while Denki played with the light. Denki picked up the happy baby, tickling his little tummy making the baby laugh in delight. Then they'd sit on the couch and Asashi would go back to teething on the remote. Hitoshi would then take it out of Asashi's mouth and replace it with a nice cool teething ring from the refrigerator.
This little boy was absolutely spoiled, though both Denki and Hitoshi were amused by Asashi's amusement with simple things.
Denki finally had a day with his baby. Hero jobs were always so taxing and took a lot out of his family time. On the other hand Hitoshi's underground work was spread out. Though the down side of his missions was the secrecy around his job. He'd have to leave for long periods of time.
Either way in the morning Denki was glad to be the one picking up Asashi out of his crib. Shinsou came into the nursery, wrapping his arms around Denki's waist. He looked over the smaller one's shoulder down to their little boy.
"Did you sleep well?"
"Not really. It's fine though, we get to spend the day together. That's all I need."
"Go sleep, I'll be here all day."
After somehow successfully convincing his insomniac to go back to sleep Denki went to the kitchen to cook breakfast.
"Hi Sashi you want some breakfast?" He said, cooing at the baby.
Asashi instead stood up below the light switch and started to hit the wall.
"Light!" The baby said.
"No, no. Daddy is still sleeping. No light."
The flickering would surely wake the other up. Hitoshi needed his sleep. Asashi was not the least bit amused about that. He started to fuss.
"Come on Asashi, come here. Mama is here. Sh sh sh."
He hushed the baby, soothing his little whines. Rocking him gently he kissed the baby's forehead. This was his little boy.
"Ma ma." The baby said pulling at Denki's fingers.
Denki set him down again. Two seconds later the little thumping noise came back.
"Light!"
Oh goodness.

Hitoshi was deeply asleep when it first happened. The lights in his room started to flicker. He didn't think much about it and simply settled for pulling the covers over his head.
Then there was a buzz, a flicker, and the lights were off. Hitoshi now sat up, wondering what in the world his fiance was doing. He trudged down the hall not finding his fiance in the kitchen.
"Hitoshi!" Denki called.
Shinsou was kicked into action. He hurried over to the livingroom looking around.
"What is it babe?"
"Look!"
Right there in the middle of the livingroom was their son. He was clapping looking absolutely amused, giggles falling from his mouth. At first it looked like nothing was happening.
"Lights on Sashi, lights on." Denki said to their son.
Clapping his hands Asashi brought the whole room to life. The TV flickered on. The lights around them buzzed. There seemed to be electricity in the air.
"He... he got his quirk."
"Yeah, it's like mine but I think he's doing it with his mind!"
"Isn't he a bit young to get his quirk?"
"Well some people are born with their quirks so, I don't think it's too weird."
Shinsou was absolutely shocked. This was amazing.

"So like, do you think our quirks combined or something?"
"What?"
"With Asashi, do you think our quirks combined?"
"I mean it seems that way."
"Yeah, like he got the whole electricity thing from me and controlling things with his mind like you. Mind control + electricity = controlling electricity with his mind."
"Although your math is flawless, wouldn't it be something more professional sounding like maybe electrokinesis?"
"We'll just see what the doctor says."
"Denki did you even set up an appointment?"
"Umm"
"Don't worry I already did. I knew you'd forget."
Denki punched him in the arm.
"You're so mean."
"Yeah but you love me."
"Unfortunately I do my lovely insomniac."
Denki leaned against Hitoshi's chest. They were both so happy.
"Hey, you know Asashi isn't the only one who can control electricity?"
"Who else-"
Denki's eyes glazed over as Shinsou grinned and kissed him sweetly.
"I can too."
Once Denki snapped out of it Shinsou was punched once more.
"That's cheating!"
"I'm sorry, do you still love me?"
"Of course."
The lights then all turned on at the same time.
"Well I guess we know who's up." Denki chuckled as they headed toward the nursery.
