Chapter Text

It takes them two days to plan everything for the ceremony. Which, honestly isn’t a lot. But to Jimin it feels like he’s going to explode with how much stuff he’s planning and trying to buy in time. He knows there’s no need to rush. Knows that they really have all the time in the world to bond to one another but Jimin is very impatient and he really wants to show off that he’s bonded to a badass vampire again.

With the help of everyone they’re able to make themselves a small but cute little ceremony for them to bond.

Jimin decides to have the ceremony in the backyard seeing as it’s the closest thing to the forest and his house. And seeing as those two places are where everything began it seems only fitting for them to do it there.

There’s flowers lined up besides the small chairs that they gathered outside for everyone to sit in. Little streamers hanging above the back door yellow and orange because to Yoongi and Jimin those colours resemble happiness. And according to Yoongi, Jimin is after all the epitome of happiness.

It’s not like a traditional wedding. Especially because it really isn’t one in a way. There’s no special cake with white frosting piled high on a tray, and there’s no special clothings. It’s like a casual ceremony and Jimin doesn’t mind that. He actually prefers it this way. (Plus he doesn’t own a suit.)

The house is loud with chatter. Everyone they know has come and really that’s not a lot of people but it makes even better knowing it’s the people Yoongi and Jimin consider closest. Minhyuk, is also a part of the ceremony seeing as he played one of the main roles in getting the two of them back together.

“Grandma?” Taehyung calls, coming into the kitchen hastily. Jimin turns around from the fridge where he was grabbing a water bottle. “Where’s the rice? It’s not on the table.”

“It’s coming. It’s coming.” Grandma replies shaking her head. Then she turns to Jimin, “What are you doing in here? I told you to shoo. We’ll call you and Yoongi when everything is ready and set up, got it?”

Jimin lets out a laugh, nodding his head slowly as he closes the fridge and walks up towards the staircase to go to his bedroom. He can still hear everyone in the living room working together to set everything up.

He’s not exactly sure how he got forbidden from working on his own ceremony but he doesn’t bother to question them. If they wish to do it then they can. At least for the meantime he can focus on calming himself down.

Are they supposed to say little vows? Exchange words like it is an actual wedding? Maybe it is. After all, this is how vampires are considered to be married right? So to Yoongi this would be his marriage. Jimin wonders if he’s nervous too.

“Did you get kicked out again?” Yoongi questions as Jimin enters the bedroom. He sets the water bottle down on the nightstand and sits on the edge of his bed before attempting to get comfortable with Yoongi. It’s nearly impossible for the two of them to fit on the bed though. He’s surprised they haven’t fallen off yet.

“I might have.” Jimin giggles, burying his face in Yoongi’s chest. “It’s our bonding ceremony and they won’t even let us help anymore.”

“That’s true, but hey think about it. Now when we go out we’ll be surprised. Won’t that be nice?” Yoongi asks, bringing a hand up to Jimin’s hair to card it through. They probably should be getting ready for the ceremony. Especially since the time is approaching rapidly and yet, they stay in bed enjoying the warmth of each other. Jimin lets out a small hum, “Are you nervous, Min?”

Jimin lifts his head up from the vampires chest and nods. “I am a little bit.” He says with a little laugh. “I’ll be standing in front of everyone confessing my love for you. What if I say something cheesy?”

Yoongi laughs at that, “Then say something cheesy. I won’t mind.” He brings that hand down to his cheek, “It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks while we’re there baby. Because today it’s about you and me. That’s it.”

Jimin smiles at that, because it’s true. Today it’s about him and Yoongi. He doesn’t need to worry about what the others might think or say if he says something a little cheesy. After all, they’re all the people closest to his heart. He doubts they’ll actually say much.

He sits up from the bed, reaching out for the water bottle that he brought up and opens it up. He takes a big drink from it before placing the cap and setting it back down. Then he stands up and stretches glancing towards his clock. It’s almost five now.

It’s time to get ready for the ceremony.

“Are you sure my hair looks alright?” Jimin questions standing in the restroom with Taehyung beside him. His best friend is sitting on the edge of the shower, arms crossed over his chest as he stares at the blonde. Jimin plays with his hair again, looking in the mirror he tries to find any spots that aren’t exactly perfect.

“Chim, for the hundredth time, your hair looks great. Now let’s go.” Taehyung laughs pushing himself up from the edge. He gives Jimin an annoyed look but Jimin knows he’s not actually annoyed. He’s just trying to get him to hurry up. “You know it’s past five now right? Everyone is outside waiting for you to come out so the ceremony can start.”

“I know I know.” Jimin sighs, throwing his hands in the air as he gives up. He doesn’t even know why he’s bothering when it’s windy outside anyways. Within minutes his hair is gonna be ruined.

He exits the restroom, turning the switch off as he goes and heads back towards his bedroom quickly for a moment. Going to his nightstand, he opens up the top drawer and pulls out the box Grandma gave him a few days ago. The one that contains the ring that will finalize their bond.

Jimin smiles at the box and holds it up to show Taehyung, “Okay. I’m ready. Let’s go get me bonded.”

Taehyung nods his head, and wraps his arm around Jimin’s as they head downstairs to go outside. Jimin inhales and exhales a breath as they descend. He’s overly excited about this, about knowing what’s to come from this little ceremony. Even if he’s still nervous the happiness is what’s pushing him through this.

“Before we get outside can I ask you a very random question?” Jimin asks trying to get his attention off the fact he’s about to be bonded for a moment. It’s something he’s been curious about for a while now and seeing as he finally has the chance to ask. He might as well.

“What is it?” Taehyung hums, as they walk through the living room.

“What’s going on with you, Jeongguk and Namjoon?” Jimin questions, turning his head to give him a look. “I don’t mind whatever it is. You seem happy with the two of them. I just wonder what exactly you three are.”

Taehyung lets out another hum, bringing his hand up to squeeze Jimin’s arm. He smiles towards the blonde as they stop at the back ground. The whole ceremony is set up in front of them. Jimin can see Yoongi waiting for him at the little fake altar Namjoon and Jeongguk created.

“We’re together.” Taehyung murmurs with a fond smile on his face. “The three of us are. And since I’m not a purebred I can’t bond with them so there’s no rejection that comes from it.”

“But you’ll never be bonded to them.” Jimin states sadly, a frown pulling at his lips as he looks towards Taehyung.

Taehyung shakes his head then shrugs, “I don’t need to be bonded to them to know they love me, Chim.” His smile returns to his face and he pulls Jimin in for a tight hug. “Now, go up there and get your man.”

Jimin laughs and nods his head. He pulls away from the hug as Taehyung departs and takes his seat in the front row beside Grandma. There’s no special music that plays like in the movies, and yet the whole thing seems perfect to Jimin. He’s got his friends and family and he has Yoongi. What more could a man possibly need?

Holding his head up high, with the box containing the ring in his hands, Jimin marches down the walkway towards Yoongi. The vampire smiles happily at him, his hair a bit messed up from the breeze that played with it, and Jimin can’t help but smile at it. He still looks cute though.

“I was beginning to think you wouldn’t show up,” Yoongi teases, taking Jimin’s free hand into his own.

Jimin shakes his head, “I lost you once. I won’t lose you again.” He murmurs with a smile. “You’re stuck with me after this.”

“That sounds perfect to me.” Yoongi breathes, pulling the necklace out of his pocket.

There’s no script to these things. Jimin has never seen any videos of movies on vampire bonding so he’s not sure exactly what to expect. What to do. He supposes he’ll just follow Yoongi’s lead.

“Well first,” Yoongi begins, turning to face everyone sitting to watch them. “Thank you everyone for helping us set this up on such short notice. I...have never done this before so please bear with me. This may be cheesy but it’s from the heart.”

“You go Hyung!” Jeongguk cheers from his seat. Beside him Namjoon chuckles, and Jimin can see Taehyung laughing from his spot too.

“I guess I’ll begin then,” Yoongi says, inhaling a breath. He turns back to Jimin and smiles fondly at him, “When we first met, this bond was the last thing I wanted. I didn’t want to be bound to someone I didn’t love. Someone I didn’t want. But then…” He inhales another breath, licking at his lips, “Then you came on this journey with me. And you taught me a lot of things, made me laugh and you accepted me when I shared my stories. You treated me normally not as a vampire.”

“And then...you were kidnapped, and that was the most terrifying thing to me ever. I didn’t know what to do, what to think. Even when I was in pain my only thought was you. Saving you.” Jimin smiles endearingly towards Yoongi as he continues to talk. “And the bond...oh god, when you broke the bond it felt like my heart broke then too. I didn’t want it to break. I didn’t want to lose you but I did. Because you were protecting me.”

“It was then that I realized how much I really cared for you. How much I wanted you back in my life and how much I needed you.” Yoongi says. He looks down and plays with the necklace in his hand. “Then Minhyuk called and told me about his research. About how we had a second chance and I knew I had to take it. And that’s exactly what I’m gonna do.”

Yoongi holds out the necklace for Jimin to take this time, but he doesn’t reach out for it. Instead he waits for Yoongi to finish his entire speech. “I love you, Jimin. I want to be with you. This is our second chance and I want to take it. I want us to take it.” He smiles fondly at the necklace and at Jimin. “I give you this necklace. The symbol of my heart and love. To have and to hold you, until death do us part.”

Jimin almost tears up at his words. Almost. He doesn’t want to start crying before he’s even said his own vows. He smiles, nodding his head quickly. “I accept.” He says, turning around so Yoongi can put the necklace on him.

He can hear little ‘aww’s in the crowd. But who exactly is making the noise is beyond him. He doesn’t question it anyways.

Feeling the necklace back around his neck he lets out an exhale of breath turning around to face Yoongi once more. It feels better to have it again. He feels comfortable and safe when he wears it. A token of Yoongi’s love. He finds that adorable.

“My turn then?” Jimin asks, to which Yoongi nods his head. “Since Hyung went through our whole story about the journey I’ll skip over that part and get on with my own vows and such.” Again, Yoongi nods his head.

“I think about the time when I started falling for you and I asked myself ‘when exactly was it?’ Was it when you protected me from the vampires the day we first met? Or was it when you opened up to me and told me the story of your past.” Jimin begins, then shakes his head. “But then I think about it more and realize it was the day we went into the store together. I kept picking out snacks and candies and all you were concerned about was whether I had water and actual nutrition. You were worried about me and didn’t have to be.”

“That was the moment I realized I was falling for you and I didn’t want the bond to be broken.” Jimin holds the box in his hand tightly, holding it up for everyone to see, “While our journey together was short, my love for you exceeded that. Love is not bound to any timeframe. As you know, many believe in love at first sight anyways. So who’s to say my love for you is any different.”

He opens up the box and pulls out the silver wedding band. He holds it out for Yoongi to see it, “This was my father's wedding band. He wished for me to have it one day to give to my own lover. And that is you, Min Yoongi.” Jimin begins, with a smile, “I give you this ring as a token of my heart and soul. The love that’s in it is for you and only you. And I will be with you until death do us part.”

Yoongi smiles at Jimin, nodding his head quickly. “I accept.” He beams, eyes full of endearment as Jimin slides the ring onto his finger.

It feels like a surge of electricity zooms through him as the ring is put onto Yoongi’s finger. That’s something new. It didn’t happen the first time. Maybe it’s because the bond is officially completed. He can tell exactly where Yoongi is even if his eyes were closed. He smiles at that. He likes this feeling.

Yoongi steps closer to Jimin, cupping his cheek. “I love you, Jimin.” He says, inching closer to Jimin’s lips.

“And I love you.” Jimin replies before closing the distance, pressing his own lips to Yoongi’s. It’s then that everyone erupts into applause. Cheers and cries from everyone can be heard as the two share their first kiss as a mated couple.

When Jimin pulls away he has a face full of tears. He’s bursting with happiness right now at being with Yoongi. At being granted this chance.

He’s thankful for Minhyuk for letting them know about this.

“Congratulations, you two!” Jeongguk cheers coming up in front of them and throwing confetti on top of them. “Lets go inside and eat cake!”

“Cake?” Jimin turns to Jeongguk confused. “I thought we didn’t get cake?”

“We didn’t. Until Namjoon joked about how you don’t like sweet things. And if Yoongi knows us we like being troublesome.” Jeongguk snickers, “So now you have a cake, and yes Hyung it’s sweet.”

“No wonder you get along so well with Taehyung,” Jimin laughs, taking Yoongi’s hand.

Beside him, Yoongi whines, “You know I hate sweet things.”

“You like me.” Jimin points out with a giggle.

Yoongi turns to him and smiles, “You’re the exception.”

Being bonded to Yoongi is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to Jimin. The only problem is, now that he and Yoongi are bonded they hardly want to spend any time apart and that’s a bit hard when you share a room with your best friend who’s dating two guys as well and you only have twin sized beds.

“I’m beginning to think we need our own bedrooms,” Taehyung laughs, as he, Jeongguk and Namjoon attempt to fit on his bed.

Jimin snorts from where he’s cuddled with Yoongi on his bed and looks towards Hoseok and Seokjin on the couch. “You could always steal Hobi and Seokjin-hyung’s house.” He teases with a smile.

“Please don’t.” Hoseok says, shaking his head.

“We’ll lace everything with garlic.” Seokjin adds.

“Garlic is useless.” Jeongguk comments, “It has no effect on us. So you’re screwed there.”

“But that does remind me,” Namjoon begins, looking at Taehyung. “We wanted to talk about that. All of us, including Yoongi.”

Jimin looks over at Namjoon then, “Whats up?”

“We’re thinking of moving closer.” Namjoon explains, “As you know now it takes us days to come and go. Moving closer is easier. And since Yoongi and Jimin are bonded it’s best they have a place together.”

“Like move out of the house?” Jimin questions while looking at Yoongi. “We get our own place?”

“That’s up to you.” Yoongi answers, “We're still deciding right now. Taehyung will probably join those two.”

“Why don’t you all just get one house?” Hoseok chirps, “I’m almost positive you five will be together a lot anyways. Plus with us coming over a lot, you’ll need a big place. It’s easier-“

“-and cheaper.” Seokjin adds.

“To get a place with two bedrooms for you five.” Hoseok continues giving Seokjin a look for cutting him off.

“We could do that.” Yoongi hums, “What do you-“

“Yoongi? There’s someone at the door for you.” Grandma says coming into view. She has a sad look on her face as she waits by the door.

“Someone at the door?” Jimin questions, giving Yoongi a confused look. The vampire only shrugs pushing himself off the bed to go downstairs. The rest of them all follow after him just as curious to who it could be.

Jimin stays close to Yoongi as they approach the door but once they’re in view, Yoongi pushes Jimin behind him. “Min Yoongi?” A man clad in red asks, staring straight at Yoongi from the doorway. Yoongi nods his head slowly, “We’re here under the Kingdom’s request to take you in. If you come with us willingly we won’t hurt you.”

“What?!” Jimin exclaims coming out from behind Yoongi, “You can’t take him away!”

“They are our orders. We can and we will.” The man states, glaring towards Yoongi. “I suggest you keep your human tamed.”

“And I suggest you not address him that way again or we’ll have a problem.” Yoongi growls, grabbing Jimin’s wrist and pulling him behind him again. He turns around to look at him, “Baby, I’ll be fine. I promise. Don’t worry. I’ll go and then I’ll come back, okay?”

“B-but…” Jimin’s lip wobbles as tears form in his eyes. He knew there was a chance of this happening. He just didn’t realize the Kingdom would learn of it so soon. It’s only been a week since the ceremony. “They’ll hurt you.”

“The only thing that could hurt me is you being taken away from me.” Yoongi replies, shaking his head. He leans down and kisses Jimin’s lips. “I’ll be fine. Don’t worry, my love.” Then he looks up at Namjoon and Jeongguk. “You two watch over him for me. I’ll be back as soon as I can.”

“Of course. We got him.” Namjoon assures with a small smile, “Just hurry back.”

“I will.” Yoongi says, and turns towards the door. He takes a step forward but before he gets any farther Jimin grabs his arm.

“I love you.” He says, then reluctantly lets go.

“And I love you.” Yoongi whispers before he’s being escorted away by the two vampires who came to get him.

Jimin watches him go with tears in his eyes before Minhyuk shuts the door to block out the sight. He looks at Jimin sadly, “I warned Yoongi about the dangers that could come with going through with the bond before he came.” He states, “He wanted to go through with it still.” Minhyuk reaches a hand out and pats Jimin on the shoulder. “They won’t do anything too terrible to him. Don’t worry. He’ll be back. I promise.”

The next week is terrible for Jimin.

Even with everyone staying there with him nothing makes him feel better. His mind is focused on the fact that Yoongi is gone and he could be hurt and in pain right now and he can’t do anything to help him. He wishes he were able to venture in vampire territory. Wishes he wouldn’t be at risk to do such a thing because he wants to go and save him.

But then again, he doesn’t know where the Kingdom is. Sure, with the bond he’s roughly able to figure out but he can’t pinpoint exactly where Yoongi is. That sounds almost impossible. And he knows Namjoon, Jeongguk and Taehyung would never let him set foot outside the house if he told them his plans. So he doesn’t.

He tries to be patient. Even if that’s the hardest thing in the world for him right now. Because every second of the day he thinks of him.

Has he fed? If he has any injuries are they healing? He’s still alive right? He hasn’t felt anything different in the bond so he’s positive Yoongi is still with him.

“I promise he’s fine,” Jeongguk says, picking up yet another uno card from the pile. It’s his fourth turn in a row that’s he’s missing the colour needed. Jimin thinks he’s started to get aggravated with the game. “Hyung is strong. He can handle whatever they throw at him.”

“Jeongguk!” Taehyung huffs, elbowing him in the stomach. “Don’t say things like that. Just tell him Yoongi will be fine that’s all he needs right now.” He sets down a yellow reverse card, then smiles cheekily at Jeongguk mouthing ‘sorry’ as the vampire picks up another card. “Besides, we’re playing this game to help him forget.”

“Seems like Jeongguk forgot about that,” Seokjin laughs as he places a yellow two down. Beside him, Hoseok rolls his eyes putting a blue two down after that.

“Why am I married to you again?” He questions, shaking his head watching as Jimin puts down a wild plus four card for Namjoon to pick up from.

Namjoon lets out a sigh, shaking his head as he grabs the four cards needed. Jimin looks towards Jeongguk and smiles as he calls the colour yellow again.

“Because you love me.” Seokjin answers Hoseok’s question with a smile.

“That’s true.” Hoseok confirms, as Taehyung places his card down.

Jeongguk picks up yet another card ready for it to be a fail again, only this time, “Haha! I got a fucking yellow! Get ready, it's time for my comeback.” He cheers, placing it down happily.

Taehyung and Namjoon smile at him fondly as the sound of someone knocking comes from the door.

“I’ll get it.” Jimin says, standing up from the couch to go to the front door. He runs a hand through his hair as he unlocks the door and pulls it open expecting it to be a package or something. Instead he sees a tuft of raven hair belonging to the only man he loves in the world, “Yoongi?!”

Yoongi smiles happily at Jimin pushing the door open and picking up the blonde immediately. He swings him around being mindful of the small space as he buries his head in the crook of Jimin’s neck. “Hi baby.” He whispers as he sets Jimin down on the ground again. “I missed you.”

“I-I missed you too.” Jimin replies as the entryway begins filling up with people. It seems they all heard Jimin cry out Yoongi’s name in surprise. “I...what are you doing here? Are you hurt? What did they do to you?”

The vampire shakes his head, taking Jimin’s hand into his own as he closes the front door behind him. “I told you when I left. The only thing that can hurt me is losing you.” He murmurs, pressing a kiss to his hand. “They punished me a bit for bonding with you, but when I confessed my love for you to them they ended up banishing me.”

“They what!?” Jimin cries.

“Banished?! Hyung, are you serious?” Jeongguk questions, eyes wide as he stares at the vampire.

“Yeah,” Yoongi rubs the back of his neck. “So, it seems like I really need to find a place to stay then. Is that suggestion about the two bedroom house still open? I liked that idea.”

Namjoon nods his head, “We’ll start looking.” He replies, already moving back to the living room followed by the others.

Jimin looks up at Yoongi sadly, a frown tugging at his lips. “I’m sorry baby. You got banished because I’m human.”

Yoongi shakes his head, “Don’t worry Jimin.” He reassures with a smile, “I told you a long time ago I didn’t agree with the way the vampires ran things anyways. It was a matter of time before I left.”

He squeezes Jimin’s hand and leans down to give him a kiss. “Besides, I’d rather be with you then stuck in a place I can’t have you.”

Jimin smiles at that. Heart fluttering from the kiss. Words can’t even begin to express how much he missed Yoongi. His lover. His mate. His heart and soul. It feels good to have him back.

“I love you.”

“And I love you.”
