|| Chapter 2 ||
Hope you enjoy!
“Destiny”
“What?” Todoroki said, half to himself. He had noticed a marking on his wrist almost immediately as he had woken up. “I have a soulmate..?” Todoroki said, the word finally seeping into his mind. “Soulmate..” He looked around his room, as he was still sitting in his bed. Todoroki walked into the bathroom, though it was more of a speed walk than a walk itself.
“This must be some kind of stupid prank, right?” Todoroki thought. Though he knew deep down someone was meant to be with him. Someone in his very class. He tried washing it off in the sink, but it was true. Todoroki Shouto had a soulmate. His mind began to fill with possible people.
He stood in the bathroom staring at his wrist for a good minute before he herd a knock on his door.
“Shouto! Your going to be late. You dont want dad to get mad at you again.”
Right. School. “Coming Fuyimi!” He said back, grabbing his bag and uniform at the same time.

As Todoroki began his walk to school, his mind was still buzzing with questions
“Who?”
“What is their quirk?”
“What will dad think?”
“What are they like?”
If anything, Todoroki hoped they weren’t the angry type. He hoped they were nice, patient, and caring. It felt like their weren’t enough people like that in his life. He stopped infront of his classroom, realizing he had been lost in his thoughts for so long he had made it to school. Taking a deep breath, he walked in and took his seat, letting his eyes wander to the different people in his classroom. The only people there was the same blue haired boy from yesterday, and a girl in the back of class with a thick strand of black hair pulled out of a tight ponytail. she had her head rested on her hand, glancing around like Todoroki was. She was the girl who got into UA by recommendations to, right? She had The shortsleeved version of their uniform, and Todoroki couldn’t help but look at her wrists.
“Leadership”
‘That crosses her off the list..’ he thought.
The other people in the class was the same boy with spiked blonde hair, his annoyed look pinned on the board, which had something about the training Homework on it. Their was another girl with pink hair and skin, and small horns on her head at the front of the class, joking with the boy next to her, he had blond hair, with a brown-ish lightning bolt on one side of it. Behind the lightning boy was a kid with red hair, sneaking glances at the spiked blonde boy beside him. Trying to pester him with questions and statements.
“Whats your name?”
“Where are you from?”
“Im Kirishima!”
Todoroki ended up glancing at the door way when he heard 2 new people enter. The same brown haired girl from yesterday, (Todoroki really needed to learn everyones names..)and right beside her was the boy with the freckles. Todoroki’s stomach seemed to flip when he saw him. The boy and Todoroki eventually made eye contact, and it was at that moment, Todoroki knew he had found his soulmate.
—•—
Midoriya stared at Todoroki. Everything, all the questions buzzing his brain since he saw his mark, seemed to click. It was him. His soulmate. Midoriya was rooted to the spot, he herd Uraraka voice somewhere in the background, asking him if he was ok. He was broken from the stare when a voice barked at him “Oi! Nerd! Why are you just standing there like an idiot?” Midoriya jumped at Bakugo’s commanding voice. He shook his head and mumbled something along the lines of “Nothing” and hurried away. Not looking at Todoroki until he made it to his seat. The two stared at each other for a few seconds before Todoroki said “meet me on the roof at lunch.” Midoriya could only nod. Thoughts and questions haunted his head, waiting to be spoken, but nothing came out. He would just have to wait.
—•—
Todoroki finally herd the bell and sprang up from his desk to get to the roof. He got there and found a nearby bench that had no one around it. Time seemed to slow down, as Todoroki was left to his thoughts. What if he wasn’t his soulmate? That cant be true. There was some kind of connection. Their had to be. Questions kept flooding his brain, until he felt a hand touch his shoulder.
“Todoroki?”
—•—
Midoriya had found Todoroki on the roof sitting on a wood bench by the entrance. What was here to talk about? Was it Midoriya’s soulmate mark? That had to be it right? He and Todoroki seemed to stare at each other for a few seconds before Todoroki finally motioned for Midoriya to sit next to him. As he took his seat Todoroki finally spoke.
“Did you get your soulmate mark..?”
“Y-yeah..” Midoriya responded, pulling his sleeve back to reveal the word “Destiny” if it were pen it would have already slightly faded, all the more a new reminder that this wasn’t a dream. He watched as Todoroki moved his wrist next to his. Midoriya couldn’t hold on a gasp, he knew it must have been him but the thought still surprised him. “So it is you.” Todoroki mumbled, glancing from his wrist to Midoriya. “I dont even know your name.”
“Oh!” Midoriya said “im Midoriya.” He said. “Midoriya Izuku.”
—•—
‘Thats a nice name.’ Todoroki thought. “You already know my name, dont you?” He wasn’t surprised. His father had tried keeping his family a secret but the media always knew.
“Well, what now?” Midoriya said. “Now that we know we are soulmates, i mean.”
Todoroki thought for a moment. What could they do? Luckily he didn’t have to think much when he heard Midoriya mumble slightly
“We can study at my house after school if you’d like..”
“Sure, that would be great.”
