Chapter Text

The next day the class got to use their costumes. Days of pouring over a design made what they wore now.

A black cloth covered most of their body, metal mixed in to protect them. Over it, they wore a dark purple jumpsuit with two pockets on their torso. Putting on a belt with more storage space along with a purple cloth they attached to it, they were almost ready.

The thigh garter they would put their knives in wouldn’t have gotten approved if the teachers didn’t know how good they were at them. After Snipe-san found their talent for knife throwing, they quickly mastered it. Although Pops wasn’t as happy as they were when they started doing it blindfolded.

Walking out, they quickly noticed Tenya-kun. The shiny armor was hard to miss. Hearing Uraraka let out a giggle, they looked to where she was looking.

The two, large , bunny ears that stood on Midoriya’s head were oddly similar to their teacher, All Might. They almost died from trying to hide their laughter.

Without the heart to tell Midoriya about their actual thoughts on his costume, they settled for, “Green is really your color.”

Thankfully, All Might started the course. Pulling out a, is that a script? They couldn’t believe it. The number one hero needing a script to teach a class.

Drawing lots to see who they were paired up with, they got Yaoyorozu. They paired against Kaminari and Jirou. Using the time they had before their trial, they introduced their quirks.

“I can make anything using my fat cells if I know the molecular structure,” Yaomomo, had said.

“My quirk allows me to control the speed of time,” they explained, “I can only apply it to anything within five meters of me though.”

Seeing the first trial had begun, the room quieted. Bakugo was hitting hard at Midoriya, some sort of rivalry?

Unable to hear what Bakugo was saying, they could see what he was going to do. He pulled the latch and the screen flashed white. They were relieved to see Midoriya still standing after the camera showed the scene.

Chiyo-san’s not going to be happy seeing him again , they thought after seeing the injuries he sustained.

Fortunately, the heroes won that round despite the villains coming out the least injured. The medic-bots carted them off to Chiyo-san soon after.

None of the other fights got to that level of destruction. Yaomomo, as she had told them to call her, and them, won with a bit of exploiting the other two’s quirks and won without many injuries.

When they tried to check on Midoriya, he was still out cold, so Chiyo-san sent them home. He hadn’t been too injured that he wasn’t able to come to class, just needed some rest from her quirk. They ended up being right that Chiyo-san wasn’t happy about it when they overheard her talking about it.

Looking out the window, they were glad they arrived at school before the press did. The press blocked the entrance, hounding anyone with a UA uniform. Hearing the other students mention their experiences getting through that crowd made them even more grateful.

Seeing Midoriya alright, they greeted them, “Morning, how’s the injuries from the battle trial?”

“Recovery Girl patched me up, so I’m alright now,” he said.

Dad, always one for the dramatics, scared half the class telling them to pick a class representative. The class ended up sitting in a circle and introducing themselves before the votes were casted.

When it got to their turn, they introduced themselves, “My name is Aizawa-Yamada Yonni, but you can call me Yonni since it’s easier. My quirk allows me to control the speed of time on anything I want. I don’t want to be the class or vice rep so please don’t vote for me.”

The class ended up voting for Midoriya and Yaomomo, class rep and vice rep respectively. Yaomomo seemed sad at not getting to be class representative, but was ok with being the vice representative.

Midoriya brought up his reasons for wanting to be a hero during lunch, reminding them of a conversation they had before. Despite what they had thought then, as long as it was reasonable, anyone could be a hero.

“Hey, Iida-kun, are you from a rich family?” Uraraka asks suddenly. It surprised them for how long it took for people to notice it.

Tenya-kun, caught off guard, replies, “I am. I’m from the Iida family, Ingenium is my older brother. I didn’t want to reveal that in case it changed how you viewed me.”

Feeling bad, Yonni says with a grin, “I don’t think it’ll change anyone’s viewed onWas it his hand chops that gave it away? He’s been doing that since I met him.”

With a laugh, Uraraka replies, “Yeah, he was really formal so I thought he was from a rich family.”

Halfway through their conversation, an alarm rang. The once peaceful lunchroom was plunged into chaos. Students were frazzled as a third-year said someone had infiltrated UA. The pushing from the students caused them to be separated. Unknown to them, Tenya-kun noticed the press and gestured to Uraraka to float them up.

Activating his quirk to get to the exit, he gained the attention of the students. Shouting, Tenya-kun explains the situation, “Everyone, it is only the press. There is no need for panic.”

Now, with everyone less panicked, they were able to get to Tenya-kun and the rest of their friends. Thankfully, no one was injured in the crowd. With their lunch interrupted, they scarfed down their food before heading back to class.

After everyone arrived in the classroom, Midoriya had an announcement to make. Seeing Tenya’s actions during lunch made him think he was a better candidate for class rep. Seemingly, the class agreed. Sending a thumbs-up and a cheery grin to their friend, Tenya-kun took the mantle of class rep.

The rest of the day passed peacefully, with no more incidents. Blind to the dangers coming soon, they slept peacefully.

Notes:

sorry for the short first chapter, this is probably the shortest chapter in this mess.
