Chapter Text

Jungkook hates mornings. He really does. When the alarm sounds off, he can’t help but groan, rolling over on his stomach, picking his blue pillow up and smacking it over his head, ignoring the alarm clock that blares. It’s Jin’s, really, he’s the only one who has an alarm clock in the room, and Jungkook can hear their other two roommates groan and curse at Jin to turn it off.

He can hear Jin grumbling something, then a “smack!”, and finally, the alarm clock stops. The boy breathes a sigh of relief, eyes slipping shut. Peace and quiet.

Until he feels a smack to his back, that makes him jolt and gasp.

“Get up, you’ll be late again!” Jin says, smacking Jungkook’s back anothet time for good measure, and the boy can hear his best friend open one of the closets, then close it and slip out the room to the common bathrooms.

Jungkook groans, but knows that Jin is right, so he lifts the pillow from over his head and turns on his back, staring at the ceiling of the bed.

The Ravenclaw, and really all other House, bedrooms all have four poster beds for the students, and for Ravenclaw, that means dark brown wooden four poster beds, with Ravenclaw blue bedding and silk curtains. Jungkook has sneaked his blue fuzzy blanket in as well, throwing it on top of the other blue, thick blanket, just because all four of the boys love sleeping with open windows during the night, yet Jungkook still gets cold very easily.

The boy sighs, sitting up, taking a long look around the room. His bed, specifically, also has golden stars hung up from the ceiling of the bed, and when he sits up in his bed, he can reach his arm up and his fingers graze over the stars. He smiles up at the golden, dangly stars and turns his head to his nightstand, picking up his glasses and quickly putting them on. Once they are on, he can see the little vase on his nightstand, holding a small bouquet of pretty blue wildflowers, one that he picked up the same evening he arrived, after the welcome back dinner, when he, Jin and Hoseok went out for a walk around the school grounds.

His eyes roam over the room next, over the white marble walls decorated with blue tapestries, and over the dark brown wooden bookcases filled to the brim with books, vinyl records, picture frames with photos and little souvenirs and knick knacks, as well as other little things like Jin’s collection of cute lego figurines, Yugyeom’s blue candle collection, over the rocks and sea shells that Woo-sik collects, and then his eyes train on his shelf, filled with books about astronomy, his star charts and his collection of blue markers that all have a star design on them.

Their room is so cosy, so beautiful and so blue. The boy smiles softly as he swings his legs over the side of his bed, bare feet sinking into the little blue side-carpet he has, and he pads over to the massive windows, looking out at the blue skies, little, soft white clouds decorating the sky, the sun peeking out constantly, winking.

Jungkook exhales a breath and turns to walk to his closet, swings it open to get his toothbrush, his toothpaste, dental floss and towel, as well as his hair brush. He takes everything and heads for the bathroom to get ready.

Once Jungkook has washed his face, brushed his teeth and styled his hair, he heads back to his bedroom to get dressed for the day, as well as get the books he will need for the school day. He already showered last night before bed, so he’s not taking a shower now.

The boy is quick as he dresses himself in his school robes, and he piles his arms full with books.

“You really need to start carrying those books in a damn backpack.” Woo-sik says, as he eyes the large pile of books Jungkook has stacked in his arms. The boy looks a Woo-sik, eyes wide as if he only just now registered the other boy’s presence.

Jungkook really is a special one, Woo-sik thinks fondly.

“Oh, no, I enjoy carrying them like this.” Jungkook responds, smiling a bit shyly, and Woo-sik shakes his head with fond.

“Okay, man.”

Jungkook spends a few more minutes in the bedroom, after Woo-sik leaves. The boy really just quickly takes his star chart with him, because the next class is History of Magic, and he always studies the books during the summer, just so he already knows everything that the monotone Professor Binns will teach, and so he can use the hour to work on his star charts.

He has Astronomy tonight, as well, and he’s so excited, because he’ll get to use the telescopes, and the weather forecast promises clear skies. He loves the Astronomy classes, as they get to go to the highest tower and study there, all while looking at the sky through telescopes.

The boy is the last to leave, as always, and he meets up with Jin in the common room.

“I am so not excited for history, Binns is so boring.” Jin complains as they exit the door of their common room, walking down the white marble spiral staircase.

“Yeah, that’s why I study everything during summer so I can work on my charts!” Jungkook says excitedly, and Jin fondly rolls his eyes.

“You and your stars. Maybe just get married to the night sky?” Jungkook giggles, playfully pushing Jin and the two boys giggle together as they walk down.

Jungkook is about to say something, when Jin’s eyes widen and he begins walking slower.

“What is he doing here?” Jungkook turns his head to look at the direction Jin is staring in, and his heart begins thundering in his chest when his doe eyes land on none other than Kim Taehyung.

The Slytherin is glaring at everybody who looks his way as he stands nonchalantly against the white marble wall, at the middle of the spiral staircase.

“Oh my! Do I look good?” Jungkook hisses through a whisper as they near Taehyung.

Jin just stares at him.

“Yes, but that’s not the point! What is he do –“ Jin doesn’t finish, as they watch Taehyung’s eyes land on them, watch as the Slytherin pushes off the wall, but doesn’t take a step forward, clearly waiting for them to walk up to him, which, of course, they do, because he’s standing exactly where they need to go.

“Is he here for you?” Jin manages to whisper right before they stop in front of Taehyung. Jungkook’s eyes are wide as he stares at Taehyung.

“Uhhmm.. hi? Or, good morning!” The boy stutters, then slaps himself mentally. Why is he so awkward? Taehyung just nods his head once, and instead of saying hi, he turns his head to Jin.

“I’ll walk him to class.” Is all the Slytherin says, raising one eyebrow at Jin. The other boy splutters, turns to look at Jungkook, who is equally, if not even more, confused, because, what?

There’s a moment of silence, that feels like it stretches for ages, and then Jin just clears his throat and nods his head once.

“Uh, okay. Uhmm, see you later, Kook?” Jin asks, but he’s got a shit-eating look on his face now, a wiggle of the brows completing the look, and Jungkook feels his face burn.

“Yeah!” He squeaks, nodding his head fast, and he probably looks dumb as hell like this, but he’s so confused, because, why is Taehyung walking him to class now? Since when?

Jungkook doesn’t mind, oh, no, of course not! But he’s so confused, because up until yesterday, Taehyung had no clue Jungkook even existed, the boy is rather sure of that.

Jin is walking away, though, and Jungkook is left standing in front of Taehyung, eyes massive, lips slightly parted and a dark red blush covering his face and neck. The Slytherin just purses his lips and turns around, begins walking, but then stops, turns around, an unimpressed look on his face.

“So are you coming, or…?” Jungkook jumps into action, almost trips over his own feet as he rushes to make his way down the few steps Taehyung has already walked down.

“Uhmmm… I have History of Magic.” Is the first thing Jungkook says as he rushes to catch up to Taehyung. The Slytherin is taller than him, so he also takes larger steps than Jungkook.

“Okay.”

Jungkook blanches, peeks his tongue out to wet his, suddenly, dry lips.

“But… you have Transfiguration and that’s, like, on the other side of the castle… You’ll be late!” Jungkook squeaks, finally fully catching up to Taehyung, tries to bite back a smile when he realizes the Slytherin has slowed down his fast-paced walking because of Jungkook, so the boy can keep up.

His smile drops when he sees the look Taehyung gives him.

“How do you know that?” He asks, suddenly staring straight at Jungkook, yet keeps walking. He feels a weird, warm feeling in his chest. Has Jungkook memorized his schedule for him?

He feels his face beginning to break into a smile, but before his lips can lift in a smile, he’s reigning it all in. Why would that make him smile? It’s creepy, they don’t even know each other. Yes, yes, it’s creepy.

Meanwhile, Jungkook realizes he messed up, and his face flushes ten times worse, as he wracks his brain for a good explanation as to how he knows this. He feels anxiety curl in his chest. What is he supposed to say now? He can’t tell Taehyung that he’s memorized his shcedule because he’s in love with him.

“Uhhhmm… I, uhh, I’m friends with Hobi! He’s in Slytherin? You’re the same year as him, and uhhmm, I kind of just memorized the schedule of classes… For Hobi, of course!” Jungkook rushes out, anxiously pulls his books harder against his chest, lookind down. He’s pretty sure his face is a literal tomato at this point.

Taehyung, on the other hand, feels something akin to…disappointment in his chest. He startles when he recognizes the feeling. Why is he disappointed? He doesn’t care, why would he care if Jungkook has memorized his schedule because of another person? He doesn’t, he does NOT care.

“Who is Hobi?” He asks in return, schools his expression. Jungkook’s eyes suddenly seemed to sparkle, little stars dancing in them as the boy smiles.

“Oh, Hoseok! Jung Hoseok? He’s your teammate in Quidditch! He’s one of my best friends!” The boy says, excitement in his voice as he begins telling Taehyung about Hoseok.

Taehyung feels a spark of resentment in his chest. What the hell is so special about Jung Hoseok, of all people? He’s not even that good at Quidditch, and he’s shit at Potions, and Defence against the Dark Arts, and – wait.

Why is Taehyung even mad about this? Why is he shit-talking Hoseok in his head? Hoseok isn’t even that bad, he’s a good person t talk to after games, because he pays attention to not only the game, but also the whole team, and always comes up to Taehyung to talk to him about if someone’s game is off, or if someone made a mistake that needs to be fixed. He doesn’t do it in a snitch way, either, he’s just genuinely concerned for the team and the games.

So, why is Taehyung so mad and resentful towards him, so suddenly? He’s confused, and he feels anger. Why does he suddenly care about the way Jungkook talks about different boys?

For fuck’s sake, you don’t even know each other. Get yourself together, Taehyung, what is wrong with you?

Jungkook is still talking.

“ – and that one time when we –“

“I really don’t want to know, or care.” Taehyung cuts him off harshly, as he stares in front of himself, jaw clenched.

Jungkook immediately shuts up, books digging into his chest and stomach as he pulls them closer. He blinks a few times, bites his lip and nods his head.

“R-right. Sorry.” He says quickly, quietly, looking down at the ground as he blinks his eyes rapidly. He’s had too many people tell him that, whenever he starts talking about something he’s really passionate about, or cares about a great deal. Too many people have told him they don’t care, or they don’t want to hear about it.

Of course, Taehyung doesn’t care either. Why would he? They don’t even know each other, and here Jungkook is, talking to him and telling him things as if they’re friends. He’s not even sure why Taehyung is walking him to class right now, but either way, they don’t know each other.

Jungkook draws his shoulders a bit in, kind of wants to cry. He’s an idiot, and he’s a nerd, why is Taehyung even walking next to him right now? He sees the looks students give them, all filled with shock and disbelief.

Jungkook is on the same boat as they are.

Meanwhile, Taehyung feels something akin to a stab in his chest, a punch to his stomach when he registers the sudden silence, the tone of Jungkook’s voice as he quietly apologizes, and he looks at Jungkook through his periphery, sees the boy looking at the ground, clutching the books in his arms so hard his fingers are white, shoulders drawn in, looking so small next to him.

He feels like a dick now.

Then again, why does he even care?

Taehyung opens and closes his mouth to say something, anything, really, but he’s not sure what to say. Does he apologize? No. No, he’s not going to, why would he? He doesn’t care about Jungkook’s ramblings about his friends. Or does he?

Taehyung feels like ripping his own hair out, he’s never been this confused, or conflicted before. What is going on? There’s anger churning in his chest. Jungkook makes him so confused, and he hates it. He’s known this boy for the grand total of one day, so why does he feel this way?

There’s silence, and it stretches on for a minute or two, and Taehyung wracks his brain for something, literally anything to start a conversation again, because it’s so awkward and Taehyung feels so fucking bad.

Jungkook doesn’t seem like he’d start talking, seemingly drawing in on himself even more, not even looking up at where he’s going, eyes trained on the ground and his books, and Taehyung has to glare at anyone that’s standing in Jungkook’s way, just so they immediately move aside so that Jungkook doesn’t collide with them.

He scans his eyes all over Jungkook’s books, trying to find something to talk about, and his eyes land on a very neat and very pretty star chart, with the writing so immaculate.

“Uh, what’s that?” He mentally smacks himself, mentally cringes because it’s obvious what it is. Way to go, Tae, way to go.

“A star chart.” Jungkook says quietly, and Taehyung nods.

“Oh, uhhh, do you have astronomy after this?” Taehyung asks, rubbing the back of his neck. He feels really shitty now.

“No.”

Right, fuck, Astronomy classes take place during the night, Tae, you idiot.

He doesn’t know what else he’s supposed to say, he’s wracking his brain for literally anything else to say, but his mind is blank right now.

“Uhm… so you really like astronomy?” He smacks himself mentally, again. Is that really the best he could have came up with? Even he feels dumb.

“Yes, I enjoy it.” Jungkook mumbles, and right as he does, he stops. Taehyung stops walking as well, and he’s about to say something, anything, when he realizes they’ve arrived.

“Uhhh…” He trails off, not sure what now. Jungkook finally looks up at him, and Taehyung feels the weird feeling again. Guilt. Jungkook’s eyes aren’t teary, not anymore, but he looks sad.

“Thank you for walking me.” The boy mumbles, and quickly averts his gaze back to the ground. Taehyung rubs the back of his neck, feels nervous, then pauses. Why is he nervous?

“Uh, yeah, no problem.” He stutters out, and Jungkook nods once, biting his lip, then turns around to walk inside the classroom.

“Bye.” He whispers and disappears through the door, only leaving Taehyung feeling even worse than he did yesterday.

He really knows how to fuck things up, doesn’t he?

*******

Jungkook sits down in his seat, purposefully ignores the way Jin is staring at him from across the room. Namjoon smiles at him, but his smile dies down when he sees the look on Jungkook’s face.

“Kookie, are you okay?” Jungkook immediately nods his head, brings his eyes to Namjoon’s face, and smiles. It’s fake, both of them can see that, but Jungkook powers through.

“Yeah, didn’t get enough sleep.” Namjoon nods, seemingly believes him, and Jungkook looks back down at his star chart. This might be the first time he doesn’t even want to write or draw anything in it.

Taehyung probably thinks I’m weird and creepy for knowing his schedule. My explanation wasn’t even that believable, and then I had to go and start blabbing about Hoseok. Taehyung doesn’t care, why did I do that? I ruined everything, before anything even started.

No one ever really cares about your interests, Jungkook, stop bothering people with them.

Jungkook bites his lip so hard it bleeds, when he feels his vision go blurry. He brings one hand up and pretends to lay down on his arm, pretends that he’s tired, turning away from Namjoon. Thanks every deity above that his seat is on the side of the room, so when he turns his head, he’s greeted by a wall, instead of another desk with students.

He feels a tear slip.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

*******

When Taehyung enters his own classroom, he hears McGonagall scold him for being so late. He doesn’t even pay attention, and sits down in his seat before he even gets permission. He can hear the professor huff, but not give him any more attention, turning back to the lecture.

Taehyung just stares blankly at the table, not registering that Jimin is asking him what’s wrong. He feels like such shit now, and he doesn’t even know why.

Why do you feel this way? What is going on with you?

Taehyung wishes he would know.

“Tae, for fuck’s sake!” Jimin hisses, and Taehyung intantly seems to snap out of it, turning his gaze to Jimin.

“What?” He snaps, and Jimin raises his brows.

“What’s wrong? Why did you come in here looking like someone killed your pet snake?” Taehyung rolls his eyes, about to tell him to mind his business, when he suddenly has an idea.

“Jimin, what do you know about Astronomy?” Jimin blanches, sinking back as he fish-mouths for a few seconds.

“Uhh, what?”

Taehyung rolls his eyes.

“What do you know about Astronomy?” He repeats, voice losing patience towards the end. Jimin simply shrugs.

“Not much, why?” Taehyung groans silently, then discreetly turns towards Lily, one of the Slytherin girls who sits right behind him, and always gives him googly eyes.

“Lily, hi, what do you know about Astronomy?” The girl’s eyes are wide, because Taehyung almost never talks to her, but she instantly jumps up to take the chance.

“Oh, a lot! Why, do you need help with something?” The girl asks, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. Taehyung wants to roll his eyes, but he refrains.

“You could say that. Mind writing down a few things about it during this class, for me, please? Literally anything, but it has to be true.” Lily nods, immediately and quietly ripping out a page from her parchment scroll.

Taehyung turns back to the front, smirking slightly. How desperate.

There’s a sudden nudge to his ribs.

“Ow, what?”

Jimin is smirking at him.

“This sudden interest in Astronomy? It wouldn’t have anything to do with a certain Ravenclaw boy, would it?” The other boy asks, raising his brows suggestively. Taehyung gapes.

“What? No, of course not!”

“Oh? You’ve never been interested in this subject before, and I know you walked him to class this morning. The whole school does, by now. Care to explain?” Jimin asks suggestively. Taehyung wants to groan. Of course everyone knows by now.

“Look, it’s nothing. I just said something rude, he seemed to get upset, and now I’m just…I don’t know what I’m doing, actually, but I want to talk to him again, that’s all. End of story, drop it.” Taehyung grumbles, turning his gaze to the front of the classroom, the blackboard.

He misses the smile Jimin sends his way.

*******

It’s a few hours later, when Jungkook’s Divination class ends, and he’s walking out the door, on his way to Potions class, the only class he really hates with a passion, when his eyes lock with Taehyung’s, who seems to, once again, be waiting for him. Jungkook is so confused.

Jin immediately leaves him, only sending a wink in his direction, disappearing in the crowd of students. Jungkook takes a deep breath as he stops in front of Taehyung.

“Uhm, hello.”  He mumbles, looking down at the ground. Doesn’t see the look on Taehyung’s face, the way the other boy grimaces slightly, upon seeing the way the boy seems to draw in on himself.

Did he really fuck up that?

“Hi. We have Potions together now, so I, uhm, thought I’d walk you again. If you don’t mind, that is.”

Jungkook feels his chest warm slightly. He’s confused as to why Taehyung is suddenly deciding to walk him to class all the time, but he doesn’t really mind. He feels…warm, and nice. This feels warm and nice.

The fact that just yesterday morning Taehyung didn’t even know his name, crosses his mind, but he pushes it away.

“Uhm… ye-yeah, that’d be n-nice.” He mumbles, jumps his books a bit higher in his arms. They are heavy, he’s got a lot of classes today, and his arms are getting tired. Taehyung frowns.

“Why the fuck are you always carrying all those books, don’t you have a bag or something?” Jungkook blanches at Taehyung’s tone, blushes and opens his mouth to say something, explain the comfort he feels when he does that, but Taehyung surprises him, reaching his arms out, “Give me those.” The Slytherin commands, and Jungkook can’t really do anything but blush and give the books to Taehyung, who easily takes the entire load of books. Jungkook is carrying 7 books, and they’re heavy, the pile massive, yet Taehyung takes them like it’s nothing.

“Oh, uhm, thanks.”

Taehyung just grunts in response, motions for them to start walking, and they do. Jungkook has to, once again, basically run after Taehyung to catch up. Damn those long legs of his.

“Why do you carry such a huge pile, seriously?” Taehyung asks suddenly , after they’ve been walking a while. Jungkook plays with his fingers, not really knowing what else to do, because usually his hands are always occupied by the books.

“Uhm… I don’t know. I guess, uhh, I feel safer with them.” He mumbles the last part, and Taehyung really strains his ears to be able to hear Jungkook better. He lifts one brow when he does.

“Huh.” Is all he says, and then they fall in another silence. It’s a bit awwkard, but mainly because Jungkook really doesn’t know what to do with his hands. Taehyund decides to use his newfound knowledge of Astronomy to start a conversation, because for some reason, it doesn’t sit well with him, the way Jungkook looked when they parted this morning, and it’s a bit awkward as well, just walking in silence.

There are so many students literally gaping at them, from all years, and they stare even more when they register that Jungkook’s usually book-full arms are empty, and yet Taehyung is carrying a massive pile.

Taehyung looks at the star chart, which is conveniently placed on top.

“I heard you like Astronomy a lot.” Jungkook slightly jumps at that, clearly not expecting that. He slightly pulls into himself once more, when he feels excitement bubbling in his chest, so ready to talk about the stars, but it hits him that Taehyung probably doesn’t care.

“Yes.” He simply says, pulling into himself a bit more. Taehyung is confused.

“Uh, yeah… I didn’t know the moon is lemon-shaped, did you?” He mentally smacks himself. Was that really the best fact he could have said? Jungkook, on the other hand, has a sudden, small smile on his face.

“Oh, yeah. It’s very interesting, it supposedly happened when the moon drifted from it’s parent planet Earth.” Jungkook says, and when Taehyung hears the slight excitement in his voice, he can’t help but smile, involuntarily. Actually, he doesn’t even realize he’s smiling.

“Yeah, I think that’s pretty cool, right?” Taehyung asks, clearly trying to keep up the conversation.

“Yeah.”

He mentally sighs. Jungkook is closing off again, Why is he doing this? This boy has such a massive obsession with astronomy, literally everyone in this school knows that, yet he’s not saying anything more. Taehyung was expecting a whole rant by now.

Quick, think of something else to say, any of the other facts Lily wrote down, come on, idiot.

“Also, I found it pretty cool that like the Milky Way, right? The clouds at the centre of it smell like rum, and taste like raspberries. Or was it blueberries?” He’s nervous.

“Raspberries.” Jungkook quietly agrees, and Taehyung nods.

“Yeah.”

Silence.

There is still a while to the Potions classroom.

Taehyung just throws caution to the wind now.

“So, I kind of want to learn more, and I heard you’re the best person to do it from, so, uhhh… would you mind educating me a bit?” It’s a wild shot, really.

Jungkook looks shocked, suddenly, looking up at Taehyung and his eyes are massive underneath his already big glasses.

“Uhhhh… what about the Astronomy professor?” He’s panicking. Taehyung swallows.

“I’d like to learn from you, more than the prfessor.” The second he says those words, he wants to punch himself, because what?

Meanwhile, Jungkook’s eyes are about to bulge out of his head, and before Taehyung can take any of it back, Jungkook is nodding his head.

“Oh, okay.” He mutters, then bites his lip. He can’t believe Taehyung is asking him to teach him Astronomy, or at least some facts, and his heart is beating in his chest so wildly, he thinks it might jump straight out his chest.

But then…

“Uhm, okay, but… If I get too excited and carried away, just uhm, let me know.”

Taehyung stops in the middle of the half-empty hall, eyebrows furrowed, and Jungkook panicks, because, did he say something wrong, again?

“Why would I do that?”

Jungkook gulps, toying with the sleeves of his robe.

“Uhm, I just… I tend to get excited about it, because I really enjoy it, and uhm… well, not many people other than my friends appreciate that too much. They tend to not want to listen.” Jungkook mutters the last part, looking down.

Taehyung opens his mouth to say something, before it hits him. His brain clicks and makes the connection between this new information, and what happened this morning.

“I really don’t want to know, or care.”

Taehyung’s eyes widen.

Fuck, I fucked up so bad.

Taehyung shakes his head to clear his mind, clear the rising guilt and disappointment in himself. Clears the was he feels so bad now, because he shouldn’t, but fuck, he does.

He should go see a doctor or something, because the conflicting thoughts and feelings, the confusion he’s been feeling over his thoughts and feelings, all over Jeon Jungkook, is beginning to give him headaches, and it’s been only one day.

Instead of apologizing, all he says is :

“Well, I care about it, and I want you to tell me.” It surprises even him, as well as Jungkook, who blushes deeply, looking at him with his wide doe eyes now. “For… for educational purposes, of course.” He adds hastily, feeling himself begin to sweat. What the fuck, seriously?

Jungkook gulps and nods then, and there’s a small smile on his face now.

“Okay.” He whispers and Taehyung nods his head.

“Okay.” Jungkook smiles a bit bigger now, a pretty flush covering his cheeks. Wait, pretty?

“Okay.” He says again, Taehyung just nods and they begin walking again. After a minute or so, Jungkook begins talking.

“Uhm, well, if you’d like to start with interesting facts, then one would probably be that black holes have these theoretical opposites, and they’re called white holes, and I find that really interesting. It’s like black holes swallow up everything, right? Well, white holes spit out light and matter, instead of trapping it, so it’s like, black holes eat everything, but white holes spit everything out. This is purely hypothetical though, because scientists are still trying to find out how they could form in reality.”

Taehyung doesn’t even realize the dopey smile he has on his face, content to listen to Jungkook rambling, and the boy does, he actually talks so much now. It’s like, once he’s gotten going, nothing can stop him, and Taehyung wears a stupid smile all the way down to the dungeons where the Potions classroom is, not even realizing it, while others who pass them look at him like he’s insane, not used to seeing Kim Taehyung smiling. He’s carrying a pile of books that don’t belong to him, he’s walking next to the Ravenclaw resident nerd, sweet boy and Astronomy lover, Jeon Jungkook. Everyone is confused.

Taehyung, for probably the first time in his life, doesn’t notice their looks, nor does he realize the smile on his face, as Jungkook walks next to him, rambling about space, not even realizing that Taehyung has fallen silent completely.

He’s happy to listen.
