“Class is dismissed early. A reward for Beidou because she was here on time for once.”
All the students stand up and thank the teacher and quickly head out of the classroom. Beidou sighs before getting up and heading out to the rooftop of the school. Students weren’t allowed unless they were part of the student council or if the students were with teachers but Beidou didn’t care. She would wait up here in hopes that she could tell Ningguang that this was the most private place for the two to talk.
But to Beidou’s dismay, Ningguang was already on the rooftop, waiting for her. Ningguang smiled and patted the seat next to her. Beidou curses mentally and sits down.
“I’m surprised you actually knew where to find me.” Ningguang chuckles. “It’s good you have something in that head of yours.”
“Shut your trap.” Beidou glares at Ningguang who keeps smiling.
“Make me.”
“No.” Beidou sighs. “Now hurry up and get on with it.”
“Ah yes. So I was thinking, how about the 5 star restaurant about an hour from here?” Ningguang says.
“Huh? I don’t got the money for a 5 star restaurant.” Beidou looks at her and scrunches her nose.
“Oh?” Ningguang smiles. “What kind of girlfriend would I be if I invite you to a date and make you pay for your own meal?”
“You rich bastard.” Beidou snarls. “Why don’t you just get on with it and tell me your plan and why you’re making me do this?”
“I do not need to.” Ningguang loses her smile and turns away. “You will cooperate with me. Now, it’ll be on Saturday 5-”
“Can’t do.” Beidou cuts off Ningguang who turns to her sharply with a frown.
“I said you will cooperate, what don’t you understand?” Ningguang hisses.
“Don’t care.” Beidou says. “I gotta visit my mum that day and I was planning on taking Mona and Amber that day.”
“Visiting your mother?” Ningguang raises an eyebrow. “Did something happen to her?”
Beidou goes quiet and Ningguang immediately starts to feel guilty. Although Beidou was a terrible student and a huge headache, Ningguang did not know what she was going through and she shouldn’t be aggressive to such extents.
“She…” Beidou speaks up before Ningguang can. “She’s in the hospital for uh something serious.”
“I’m sorry.” Ningguang says and turns away. “I was being really rude.”
“Nah.” Beidou suddenly chuckles and turns to Ningguang. “Maybe from this you’ll learn that you can’t force me to do shit.”
Beidou stands up and stretches. “Just give me time. If you want my help, I’ll help you but I’ll let you know, I don’t give a single shit about that vase. You can snitch if you want but I highly doubt that you will.”
Beidou turns and smirks at Ningguang. Ningguang’s eyes widen, she had seen through Ningguang’s plan and everything started to start falling apart. Ningguang felt her face warm-up and as she turned away she heard Beidou laugh.
“How cute.” Beidou says in between laughs. “You know what. I’ll see you on Saturday but make it 2 pm.”
“What about your mother?” Ningguang says shocked.
“I’ll see her afterwards. She won’t mind.” Beidou’s smile turns smaller and Ningguang notices that Beidou soon replaces it with a grin. “I’ll see you there.”
Beidou kneels down in front of Ningguang and holds her hand. She places a soft kiss on the back of Ningguang’s hand and smiles.
“My lady.” Beidou grins and quickly runs off.
Ningguang sat there, bewildered. For a second, Ningguang thought that her heart had actually skipped a beat but she quickly shook the thought out of her head. Ningguang had no interest in Beidou and she won’t have any for someone so stubborn and frustrating. This was simply someone that would help Ningguang and then disappear from her life. She sighs before heading out and following after Beidou.
Ningguang had decided to sit with Beidou’s friends in an attempt to get closer to Beidou and for them to become more believable. Ningguang soon arrives at their little hangout spot and to her surprise, her friends have already settled down. She joins them and sits very close to Beidou.
“Ningguang, there you are,” Lumine says with a smile. “What took you so long?”
“Nothing. I was just in the bathroom and talking to someone, you know.” I wave her off.
She nods in understanding and looks at her girlfriend who was sleeping in her lap. She smiled and turned to the rest.
“This was a good idea.”
“For you two of course.” Mona grumbles.
“Geez, you are so grumpy.” Keqing pokes Mona who squeaks. “You really don’t like me huh?”
Keqing chuckles and scoots up to Mona who just gets even more fidgety and annoyed. Ningguang turns to Beidou who was enjoying her lunch with a big smile. She glances at Ningguang and then continues to eat almost all her food in one bite.
“What? You don’t have food?” Beidou glances at Ningguang again as she sips her tea.
"No, I'm just enjoying the view." Beidou rolls her eyes at Ningguang.
Ningguang smirks and leans into Beidou who freezes up. Ningguang pressed her chest into Beidou's arm and held her closer. She leans her head on Beidou's arm, expecting to be pushed away any second now but Beidou just started eating again.
"Oh? You don't feel seduced by me? By my beauty?" Ningguang whispers into Beidou's ear and to her surprise, there was no reaction.
"I feel no attraction to you and therefore nothing could affect me." Beidou mumbles only loud enough for Ningguang. Not like the others could hear. "I'll let you know, you're not the first to flirt with me. Don't bother catching feelings for me. I will only be playing around with you for our deal."
Ningguang hums with a small smile. How unique. Ningguang was kind of annoyed at how hard it was to get to Beidou but this just made it more fun.
"Well, anyway." Beidou placed her cup and lunch down.
Beidou turns to Ningguang who was still clinging to her. Ningguang looked back at her, an eyebrow raised. Beidou smirked and put her arm around Ningguang and pulled her in and laughed.
"How're you enjoying my embrace, sweetheart?" Beidou laughs and unconsciously squeezes her.
Ningguang was frozen stiff. Beidou was so built yet so squishy? She was like the perfect boyfriend with abs but still soft to be close to. Ningguang quickly pushed Beidou away and stood up.
"I just realised, I have to go to talk to someone," Ningguang says, not turning back to Beidou. "I'll see you after class."
With that, Ningguang was gone. Beidou suddenly felt guilty that she might've gone too fast with the affection. Beidou was an affectionate person and if they were to pretend to be lovers, they'd have to be touchy. Beidou sighs, she'll apologise to Ningguang about it later.
