Chapter Text
“What the fuck?!” Bakugou exclaimed.
“You’re telling me that your brother, the son of THE number two hero, is the villain who kidnapped us?!” Bakugou said with a twitch in his eyebrow.
“Yes, that’s what I just said. Did you not hear me properly?” Asked Todoroki.
“Yeah I heard you the first time,” Bakugou leaned back as the shocked expression melted off his face, “it does add up I guess.” Bakugou mused. He was all too familiar with asshole parents making asshole kids.
“So icy hot, what’s the plan? Do you think he’ll help us just because he’s your brother, or should we threaten to tell the other villains his identity?” He asked.
“Well, I was thinking we could try to...”

“Alright I think that covers everything, one of you bring the boys back out would you?” Shigaraki said concluding the mission recap.
The two boys were were placed in the centre of the room, the villains opposite them against the bar. The villains were all either seated or leaning on the bar, with the schoolgirl sat on top of the bar and the portal guy bar tending.
“So why are we here hand fetish?” Bakugou directed at Shigiraki, he was already filling his arsenal with crude names for the other villains.
“Now Bakugou that’s no way for an honoured guest to behave.” Shigiraki said.
“Honoured guest my ass, you locked us in a closet!” Bakugou sneered.
“Bakugou calm down. Why are we here? if you wanted us dead you would have done it already.” Todoroki said turning to the villains again. He wanted to know the answer but he was also trying to by them time for one of them to try and communicate with his brother for help.
“See Bakugou, even your friend thinks you’re being rude.” Shigiraki teased as he patronizingly ruffled Bakugou’s hair, with one finger lifted of course.
“Anyways kid you weren’t apart of the plan, we would’ve killed you already but somebody thinks you could be useful, care to fill us in as to why Dabi?” Shigiraki said.
The room’s attention shifted to the scarred man at the far end of the bar. He looked like he was barely paying attention, his back was turned away from the boys until he tipped his drink back and finished it. He turned to face them and stood. The room was still silent as everyone waited for his explanation.
“Why didn’t you use your fire at the sports festival when you fought sparky here kid?” He said looking Todoroki directly in the eye. Bakugou was giving the villain a death glare. Todoroki looked down without responding, he felt too seen. Dabi turned to the other villains prepared to answer for him.
“The son of the number two hero refuses to use the quirk he got from his dad. I think we have something we can work with. Maybe a grudge against dear old dad and the people who built him up. And while we’re at it I wonder where that scar came from.” Dabi said.
“It wasn’t his dad, it was hot water you asshole!” Bakugou defended, forgetting that he shouldn’t know that.
“Bakugou! How did you-“ Todoroki was cut off.
“Not that one kid.” Dabi said.
He walked over to Todoroki and pulled up his t-shirt sleeve showing a handprint. A deep red burn scar that nobody except Todoroki’s family knew about. He started to tear up, he felt exposed and betrayed, he felt anger well up inside of him. He looked at the rest of the the villains and made a decision. He glared at his brother before he spoke with venom in his voice, loud and clear for the whole room to hear.
“Fuck you Touya!”
