Chapter Text
Park Jimin hung up the phone with a troubled frown painting his face in wake of the news. He turned to Jungkook from across the table of the coffee shop they were currently housing and relayed the information.
“The nurse on duty said that they had to sedate Tae due to what they believe was a severe panic attack causing great physical duress. They said he wasn't breathing…”
He and jungkook had just finished catching each other up on recent events and had been planning a visit to the hospital to check on their friend. Jimin had just placed the call to check if it were okay for them to visit Taehyung only to receive this morning's news.
“The doctor feels its best to let him rest for a bit after the shock….Jungkook? What do we do? His parents are so worried.. I feel like something serious has changed but i can't say just what it is yet, but I feel like Tae is in danger… I can’t shake this feeling of fear and dread that everything’s about to change.” Jimin mourned, his heart heavy with apprehension.
“I think we should keep an eye on Tae, just to be safe.” He suggested.
“I agree.” Jungkook stated, voice firm.
With resolve, the brothers headed over to the Kims house to wait for their other half’s return, knowing that they were nothing more but welcome as they were considered family.

Taehyung rested his heavy head against the cool glass of the passenger window while he tried to collect his thoughts in his still muddled brain. He awoke just hours before feeling groggy and confused. He had been informed of the morning’s mishap regarding his panic attack that apparently was so severe he had to be forcibly sedated to prevent harming his health. He recalled none of it. The last thing to come to memory was the vague form of a shadowy figure hovering near the trees outside his window as he shut his eyes. But due to this morning's events, Taehyung could no longer differentiate what was a dream and what was memory.
It was frightening. He would dare tell his parents because he was so unsure of things now. It’s terrifying how something like a simple medicine or drug can make you lose your sense of memory and assurance. How easily you could lose security of your sanity. It was mind numbing to comprehend. So many thoughts ran through his head that he couldn't focus as he once more dazed out at the scenery while it flew by with a distant sense of deja vu.
Deciding now was the best time to rest his mind before reaching home where his friends and siblings awaited, he began to shut his eyes. Just as they were closing he caught a glimpse of an all black figure perched at the passing bus station staring straight at him. His eyes snapped open at the speed of light, brain fog gone as he shot to attention in his seat. He strained to get a better look as he craned his neck towards the rear window of the car but the figure was nowhere to be seen.
“Sweetheart, is everything okay…?” His eomma asked gently.
Kim Ye Jin tried to remain calm and focused on the road. Her worry for her son was great as she took in his panicked face, fearing another panic attack.
“I-i just….” Taehyung trailed off, not wanting to sound crazy and cause more worry. “Nothing eomma...just a bird…” He finished, sounding forlorn.
“Okay dear..” Ye Jin stated. Not believing him though not knowing what else to say, they continued the rest of the drive in uncomfortable silence.
