Chapter Text
One year later.
"Hi, how can I help you?"
Xiao Zhan, now human, after one whole year studying the art of coffee making, opened his own coffee shop. There was a special high tea time in the afternoon, where he would serve the best tea people had ever tasted, all his own recipes of course, and it took the city by the storm since the tea was excellent and the food was out of this world.
He tied his longish hair in a messy bun, and there was a soft expression in his face that made people want to do anything for him. Including the stuttering girls in front of him right now, who tried to decide which coffee to order and how to get the handsome barista's number.
While he waited for the girls to make up their minds, there was the sound of the bell from the front door, a sign that someone's coming.
"Zhanzhan! Hey, me and Qingge will have high tea here, Cheng will come later." Xiao Zhan's sister became fast friends with Wang Yibo's ex fiance, who killed him in his previous life, and they often came to the shop. To taste the human's food.
Well, as long as they paid, Xiao Zhan didn't mind.
The shop itself was quite famous in human and underworld and heaven's people. They often came and mingled together, despite their race's differences. There also quite a few inter-race couple happened there, just because they frequented and accidentally met.
Xiao Zhan was very strict with the human or non-human people, he would not tolerate bullying or harassing, and although he was a human, everyone knew that he was the son of the King of Hell, so nobody dared to mess with him.
"One coffee of the day and one tea of the day. Oh, and add snack of the day too, gege." The girl, finally made her choice, sent a coquettish look to Xiao Zhan, in which he just smiled politely.
"Xiao-ge, order for table three is ready."
Nie Huaisang, that was the name of God of Festivities, surprisingly worked there too as a barista. He was a natural flirt and made people flattered by his light teasing.
Nie Mingjue, God of War, Nie Huaisang's brother, who became fast friends with Jiang Cheng, also could often be seen going to the coffee shop. Especially when Jiang Yanli, Xiao Zhan's sister, was there, while Jiang Cheng's face would go red if he saw Mu Qingge.
Yibo's and Xiao Zhan's parents were also a frequent flyer.
Ah, all's well that ends well.
"Why are you sighing, ge?" Suddenly a pair of strong arms circled Xiao Zhan's waist, and he landed a kiss on his nape. "Mm, you smell like peach blossoms. Special for the day?"
Peach blossom was the kind of bittersweet symbol for both of them, because Xiao Zhan loved it, he died under the peach blossom tree and for a while the smell of it made Yibo nauseated. But Xiao Zhan didn't let it hinder them, and finally he made a specialty peach blossom tea, peach blossom coffee, and peach blossom cookies. And they were amazing.
"It's because I'm happy, Wang Yibo." Xiao Zhan turned around and gave Yibo a light kiss. "Why are you here? I thought you have shooting until tomorrow?"
"Ah, about that." Yibo sheepishly blushed. "I may or may not negotiate with the ghosts on the location to give me a couple of free days, before I call the shaman."
"A what now?"
Although Xiao Zhan became human, he still had the capability to reap souls, courtesy of mama Xiao. And Yibo took the chance to negotiate terms with the ghosts, just like the gremlin he was.
"Forget about it, you just have to come with me later." He kissed Xiao Zhan again. "Any chance you can leave now and spend the rest of the day with me? In bed?"
"How shameless of you, Wang Yibo. Can't you see I have customers? The cafe is packed!"
"Yeah, I can see. But when does it ever not? You're the best brewer in town, best baker, best chef, best boyfriend, and I'm so greedy to have all of you for myself."
"Oh god, please, enough with the dog food, there are single people here, you know…" Nie Huaisang came out of the back room and almost dropped the stack of cups he carried when he saw the PDA.
"Shut up, Huaisang."
"Shut up, Huaisang."
"You both are worse than the dogs in heat, I swear to god… please just leave, I can handle the store by myself for the rest of the day." Nie Huaisang shoved both of them out.
"I'll close up tonight." Xiao Zhan and Yibo went out of the store after Xiao Zhan threw his apron away giggling.
"You need help, little Nie?"
Nie Huaisang turned around to see who spoke to him, when he saw who it was.
Right. Of course.
"Sure, da-jie, please, I will be very grateful." He gave Jiang Yanli a new apron.
"I hope this happiness will last, little Nie." She took the apron and wore it.
"I hope so too, da-jie, I hope so too."
"Well at least they found each other. Finally."
"Yeah, finally. I was so torn between wanting to help or turned a blind eye, when Xiao Zhan finally took the decision out of my hand."
"It's all in the past. Besides, we're family now."
"Whoaa, you mean, you and da-ge…?"
"I mean Zhanzhan and Yibo, you little pervert." But nonetheless Jiang Yanli's face blushed. "Besides, your brother doesn't look like he likes me. Or whatever."
"Aish, da-jie, you know da-ge only has one face expression. Like a brick wall. He fancies you, trust me."
"Right, so, Jiang Cheng and Mu Qingge. Should we help them?" She tried to steer the conversation away from herself, but Nie Huaisang made a mental note to push his brother to ask her out.
"Well, I do have a plan in mind…"
"Tell me, little Nie, I want Cheng to lose that permanent scowl in his face. And that seems to only happen when Qingge is around."
"So… here it is…"
And they whispered and planned a lot of matchmaking together.
The End.
