Chapter Text
Vladek looked out from the chambers of his castle. The kingdom of Scorpia was a beautiful place, towers higher than the clouds, roads cleaner than crystal; a new invention every day. Scorpia was indeed a technological utopia. Vladek had been in charge for centuries, ever since he overthrew the King before him and since then, he had vowed to keep his kingdom on top. For every advancement a civilisation would make, he’d make ten. Because no matter how advanced his society was, a single win from the other team in the arms race that he’d made up would be a failure to not just him, but also his people. The car was a perfect example, though he had stolen the concept from a junkyard family in Ninjago, he’d improved it, making it not just a priceless advancement in transportation but an accessible piece of technology to all citizens of Scorpia. Despite his care for his own people, Vladek didn’t care than much about morality, if killing a few civilians in a foreign land meant the safety of his people; he would not hesitate to do so.
“My King?” a worried voice called out from outside his chambers.
“What is it?” Vladek replied in a concerned tone.
One of Vladek’s guards stumbled into the room.
“We received word from Smack-jaw and Dareth… it seems the other Ghosts never arrived.”
Vladek sighed, “This is unfortunate; however, we must stay optimistic. What of the remaining Ghosts?”
“Well, Lord Vladek. Smack-jaw, Dareth and Six are all in Jamonicai as instructed.”
“Good. Although it pains me to say this, the remaining Ghosts will have to continue the mission without them, I must consult the group myself.”
Vladek made his way to the maid hall of his castle, then he pulled out the phone attached to the wall and dialled the code 77-89-00 in which the phone began to buzz. Vladek waited until there was an answer.
Back at Jamonicai, Smack-jaw sat restless while Dareth perched against the wall of a destroyed house, Six however stood up straight, keeping his eyes on the area around him.
“You know, I used to be an exotic dancer around here, back in the day.” Dareth said, casually.
Smack-jaw didn’t respond. He twitched his eye, staring at the ground while his hands were having seizures.
“Smack-jaw, SMACK-JAW!” Dareth yelled.
Smack-jaw fell back in response, catching himself before hitting the floor.
“Ugh! Dareth! Can you not?!” he shouted back while pulling himself up.
“Stop being such a depressed loner, Smack-jaw. We all have the same assignment here. We’re all in the same team. We should be acting like it.
“I’m bored, I’m restless! I need something. Something to scratch me, you know?”
Suddenly they heard the sound of galloping in the distance. The team perked up. In the horizon, they saw sepantine riding demonic looking horses.
“I think you just got your wish.” Dareth commented.
