“Hey sweetcheeks” Ace greeted her immediately.
“Oh goodie” Alex groaned.
“Oh, don’t act like you don’t love me” he grinned “but I had a very odd experience earlier -- in our other trial? I saw The Hillbilly upset and crying at the end of the trial”
“Oh? Is that what happened?” she asked, planting herself at the generator that she found nearby.
“I guess?” Ace said, confused. Kneeling beside her he began to fiddle with wires too.
“I went to talk to him earlier, he seemed sad”
“Oh. I think it may have been David’s fault” Ace admitted.
“Well if it wasn’t you, it wasn’t me, and Ash was dead”
“Yeah that makes se---Jesus Christ!”
“Nope, just me” Jeff greeted.
“Yeah, Jesus wouldn’t wear demonic face paint” Ace retorted.
“It’s artistic expression ” Jeff replied.
“Right. Do you agree with that Alex? Alex? Where’d she go?” Ace asked, craning his neck to look around.
“I’m not sure she must’ve-- AH!” Jeff was interrupted by a gleaming Katana barely missing his head, instead hitting the generator in front of him.
“Oh!” Rin exclaimed as she turned to see who she had missed “that facepaint is terrifying”
Ace burst out laughing and Rin turned to him “better start running”
