Chapter Text

-Philza’s POV-

It’s been nine years since Techno and I welcomed Wilbur to our family, and I feel like those nine years were some of the best years of my life. I can’t even imagine how I got by in the past without the two of them. I suppose that they are making me spoiled. It's finally spring time, and I welcome the warm rays of the sun after a cold and harsh winter. Spring really is the best season, I feel the warm sun rays, see flowers with bright colors blooming, and the forest surrounding our home is bursting with life. I stretch my arms over my head as I walk outside, to my right is WIlbur, strumming the strings of his precious guitar, a gift I got him for his 14th birthday, despite how long he’s had the guitar it's still in remarkable condition, Wilbur takes very good care of it. He’s sitting at the base of a tree, playing his guitar and humming to himself, I assume that he’s writing a new song. I quietly walk away from him, not wanting to break his concentration, besides he gets grumpy when someone interrupts his “creative visions''.

A little past Wilbur, slightly off to the right is Techno tending to his garden. As the years gone by Techno has increased the size of his potato farm, and has reluctantly agreed to farm other vegetables. Recently we have been selling his crops in the nearby town, though Techno doesn't go into town with us, preferring to stay home so he doesn't have to interact with too many people. I wave at him and say good morning and he nods his head acknowledging me, then he goes right back to tending his garden without saying a word to me. I hold in the chuckle, typical Techno behavior.

I walk to the nearby pond, it's only a four minute walk from our house. When I got there I entered the small shed that's close to the lake, we made it to store both some fish as we waited for it to dry, and for us to keep our fishing gear there. With my rod in hand I sit down on a large rock and cast my line. After about an hour and a half of fishing I have caught eight fish that are good enough for us to eat, in the spring the lakes always fill with fresh fish. I'm about to cast my line again but I hear a sound off to my right, when I turned toward it I assumed that the sound was a deer walking around, but looking around I saw no deer, in fact I didn't see anything. Assuming it was just a wild animal I went back to fishing, After about five minutes I felt something pulling my cloak, I thought my clothing was caught on a rock, and when I turned to fix it I saw a baby cow?

There was a cow, a baby cow.

I just sat there stupefied, very confused with seeing this random baby cow. After I sat there for a moment I realized that the pull I felt was the baby cow chewing, chewing on my cloak. I make a noise of surprise and gently pull my cloak free from the cow's mouth, the baby cow mooed in displeasure. After making sure my cloak didn't have any holes, I took a closer look at the baby cow. It looks at me with big brown eyes, I may have been imagining it but I swear that its eyes looked upset at me. I scratch the calf behind its ear and that seems to satisfy the creature, it moos happily. I see a small name tag around its neck, taking it in my hand and examining it I see that it reads Henry.

I suppose that it must have wandered away from its home, though it's still strange, the nearest farm is a little past the town, it's around twenty five minutes away. The calf should know its way back home, it shouldn't be here. Maybe there's another farm nearby that I wasn't aware of? Thankfully I have a lead in my pocket, so I secure it comfortably around the calf neck so it doesn't wander off again. I stand there thinking about where I should start, but Henry makes that decision for me. It pulls surprisingly hard, trying to drag me to the north west near my bee farm. I try to lead the calf another way, but Henry keeps on trying to drag me in that direction. Sighing at the cows stubbornness, I allow myself to be pulled around by the calf.

After a little walking we reach my bee farm, I see that the hives inside are full of honey, ready and waiting to be collected. I continue walking past the bee house, but Henry yanks me directly to the house. Not expecting the sudden pull I accidently let go of the leash around Henry's neck. Henry happily runs into the bee house. Walking inside the house, I begin searching for the young cow. However I hear a sound off to my right, it's coming from a different room then I'm in. It's the room where the majority of my bees are. Walking inside I heard the sounds more clearly, at first I thought it was the cow, but to my surprise it sounded like two people talking. I sneak closer to the sound's origin, when I get close enough I can easily understand what they are saying. It sounds like two children talking to one another.

“Tubbo come on we gotta go, we can't just stay here, we got things to do!”

“But Tom looked at all of them! They're so cute, and it's super nice here. Can't we just stay here for now?” I hear one of the children, I assume its Tommy, stomp his foot on the ground.

“We cant fucking stay here bitch boy! We need to go and save Henry!” Wow, ok, this kid has a bit of mouth on him. However these two people do seem to be the owner of Henry. “Im sure Henry's fine Tommy, she's a cow not a baby.” “She's MY baby Tubbo!” “Still a cow Toms.”

“It doesnt matter, shes my baby fucking cow and we need to find her.” The two continue to squabble amongst each other, completely oblivious to my presence. Hearing a small moo behind me I turn around and spot Henry, who is chewing on some Alliums. Sighing once again I walk over to Henry and pick her up, she stares at me but continues chewing her treat.

Walking over to the two of them I'm about to say something, when their conversation catches my interest. “Tommy don't you see all this honey, we would make so much money if we took it and sold it in the town, big man!” “It's just honey Tubs, we couldn't even get much for it.”

“But it's still something! We need money Tommy, and you're not letting me sell Henry, so we gotta find something else.” “We are NOT selling Henry!” “Well selling her would at least get us enough money to have a good a meal!” The boys continued to yell at each other back and forth, meanwhile I was just standing there, my brain short circuiting.

Who are these kids? Why do they need money? Where are their parents? Do they have parents? When was the last time they had a warm meal? When was the last time they even ate? Where do they live? Do they have a house? Could I just take them home with me? Wait, no, can't do that last bit. I can't just take in every single sad child I come across.

I awkwardly cough, catching their attention. The two of them stop their arguing and quickly turn towards me. I must have been a sight, my large black wings casting a shadow, and the baby calf in my arms that had finished eating her flower, and started chewing on my clothes again. I couldn't tell if I looked ridiculous or intimidating. “Uh, hey mate, this your cow?” I ask, lifting the cow slightly. The two of them look at each other, eyes wide, and mouth open in shock.

“Your Philza....” “Uh, yes?” “Your Philza, like THE Phizla?! Like Philza fucking Minecraft Philza?!” I can't help but snort in amusement, “Yeah that's me mate, nice to meet ya.”

Hearing my declaration the boys had different reactions. Tommys face expressed pure joy and awe, while Tubbo looked very happy but then horrified. “Holy shit your Philza, that's so cool! Your wings are awesome, is it true that you killed the Enderdragon twenty times? How fast can you fly? How did you come up with so many cool builds?” Tommy asked, bombarding me with questions in excitement. Tubbo shook Tommy, “Tommy, we broke into Mr Minecrafts bee house. We almost stole from Mr Philza Minecraft.” “Shut up Tubbo, shut the fuck up!” Tommy hissed. I laughed at their energy. Before they could say anything else, I spoke up again.

“So this is your cow, Henry, right?” “Uh yeah she is.” Tubbo said, still awe struck. I set the baby calf down on the ground and Tommy quickly tied a leash around her neck. “She's pretty cute, I found her near my fishing pond.”

“Thanks so much for returning her big man!” Tommy said, with his arms wrapped around Henry. I gently ruffled his hair, and laughed at his confused and awed expression. I laughed when I heard him mumble, “I'm never washing my hair again.” Looking outside I noticed that it's getting close to lunch time, without thinking I decided to take a risk. “So do you boy want to stay for lunch? I mean if you're not doing anything that is. I don't want to keep you from something.” The two of them looked at each other, and wide grins came across their faces. The two of them quickly nodded their heads and followed me out of the bee house, and now with two more children I led them home, already imagining the exasperated stare Technoblade will give me.
