Chapter Text
As Barry passed Loki back over to Sue as he said, “Have him seen by the physician. I want to make sure he is well.”
“Sure thing, doc.” Sue said in a sickly-sweet tone.
“We’ll talk more soon.” Barry said to Loki before leaving.
The guard started to pull him in one direction before Sue gave a gesture to pause while she waited for Barry to be out of sight. She then directed them in the opposite direction.
“But the doctor said to take him to physician?” The guard questioned.
“Of course, he does.” Sue snickered. “But first a bath is in order.” She said in a fake sweet tone, after a moment’s pause.
Her job was to take care of Loki and ensure he didn’t cause any trouble for her bosses. Barry was a smart man and the self-inflicted wounds trick was less likely to work on him. She just needed to buy more time for Loki to heal.
“Food?” Loki softly asked as his stomach protested the extended lack of nutriment.
“Later.” She blew him off as she directed him into a room with a push.
Loki groaned. The medication they were forcing in him made him hurt in many ways. Perhaps not being empty, his stomach wouldn’t complaint so much, he hoped.
The room he was shoved into was large bathroom with several shower stalls. Sue undoes his chains freeing him completely of them as he rubs his sore wrists in the moments reprieve.
“Strip.” She commands while Loki just stared at her with a raised eye brow. “I could make him do it for you.” She continued while gesturing to the guard.
The guard smirked at him while cracking his knuckles. Loki shifted uncomfortably saying, with anger lacing his words, “I hardly need supervision to bathe.”
“Shy or something?” Sue teased.
Being naked never use to be uncomfortable. On Asgard such things were normal but now it just led to torment of his scars. After a tense few seconds of battling wills, he sighed glancing away for a moment, the fight wouldn’t be worth it. Taking a safe step away from them he moved to removing his clothing. Sue didn’t hide the fact she was looking him up and down while the guard glanced at his scars through a mirror behind him with an unreadable expression. Loki took a glance at himself in one of the many mirrors around the room. His once lean but well-formed body was now just skin and bones. He could barely recognize himself.
He moved towards one of the showers just before Sue said, “Not so fast. Sit here. You need a shave.”
He turned and glared at her. “I can do that myself.”
She laughed, “And trusts you with a blade?”
“I’ve carried a knife since I could walk.” He said angrily as he touched a spot on his hip seemingly where he had held a knife before.
Sue unwilling to debate anymore snapped her fingers for the guard to act. Loki reacted to defend himself dodging the man’s first attempt to grab him. With the second attempt the man grabbed Loki’s hair and pulled him towards Sue. Loki writhed in attempt resistance while his hands pried at the guard’s grip.
The sound of loud clap which landed hard on his back dropped him on his knees, the guard’s hand still intertwined in his hair, as Loki cried out in pain. The guard glanced at Sue confused why such a simple touch had has such an effect on him.
“His scars are his weakness. Easier to control him without the hospital give you trouble for causing bruises.” Sue said informatively. Sue then attached a set of handcuffs to Loki’s wrists before moving her hand to his chin so she could raise his head to look at her. “You are weak so just be a good boy.”
“You no not what I am capable of.” He growled as he twisted away from her touch. Never strong enough, he was told his whole life.
Sue just shrugged not caring to respond as the guard picked him up by his hair and moved him towards the chair. Pushing him down and holding him in place, Sue was able to connect his cuffs to the chair between his legs.
Sue moved a razor towards his face as she said in a fake sweet tone, “Now don’t move or it will cut you.”
Often the medication they forced into him made him quick to tears while on rare moments he found himself detached and numb. He just sighed and closed his eyes attempting to detach himself from this moment. Please he wished she would slit his throat and end his misery once and for all.
A few times he felt she purposely nipped him but he didn’t reward her with the reaction she was hoping for. He just took a deeper calming breath. It didn’t take too long and when the sound of an electric razor turning on, he opened eyes curiously. Sue than made a moved towards his hair. He attempted to move out her way but the guard gripped and held him place.
“No.” He said lowly as he shook with emotions.
“It’s beyond knotted. This will be easier on all of us.” Sue said once more in her sickly-sweet tone.
“At least attempt to comb it out.” He begged in a soft tone even though she ignored his words.
He saw the black strains fall around him as he felt a deep pain in chest. When she was done, she walked away from him and he heard the shower turn on. He glanced at his reflection with silent distress which made him numb to the fact that his wrists were release from the chain and he was now being directed over to the shower. His wrists were then connected to a hand rail at the front of the shower as the warm water washed over him. Sighing he glanced up taking in his surroundings once more. The guard had distanced himself idly playing on his phone while Sue moved a sponge over him. His weakened emotions and deep hunger left him complacent. He didn’t even put up a fight when she gazed his scars, just shook silently with apprehension.
Loki was distant in thoughts when the water turned off. The pop of his cuffed wrists opening startled him back to his senses. Sue shoved a towel and fresh clothing in to his arms commanding, “Get dressed.”
He took a moment to run his hand over the short-buzzed hair that now covered his scalp before he moved to dress in the same looking orange clothing he was wearing before. After which they chained his wrists and ankles before directing him out of the room.
They lead him into a room with a few round tables set up which were also bolted to the floor. After he was pushed into a seat his chained wrists were connected under the table. Sue stepped away from the table as Loki took in his surroundings. A few other prisoners sat at tables with nurses eating. There was an old TV set up in one of the corners of the room softly playing an animation of a gray bunny outwitting a hunter. One wall was completely windows washing the room in the golden glow of the sun. He wished he could get up to get a better look outside. As he had not seen the sun in years.
The click of a tray of food being placed in front drew his attention back to Sue’s return. He glanced longingly at the tray, green beans, grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. His stomach grumbled hungry as he realized, he couldn’t eat when bound like this. Answering his silent question, Sue picked up a fork full of potatoes and held it up to him. She intended to baby feed him.
“The others are...!” He stated angrily in a raised tone.
Sue took the moment to shove the fork in his mouth mid outburst. He chocked for a moment as Sue said, “Don’t take that tone with me. I don’t trust you not to stab me.”
After he was able to swallow what was forced down his throat he glared at Sue as she held another fork full of food. With a sigh he laid his head down on the table saying, “I’m not hungry.” It was a lie. He was starving but couldn’t stomach this injustice.
“Ok if that’s what you want.” Sue said as she called the guard back over to them so they could release him from the table.
His head spun as they pulled him up to his feet and for a moment he wondered if that single bite would stay down. They lead him back to his room and sat him on his bed. Sue puts a small plastic cup with a few pills in it in front of Loki’s face.
“Going to be good about taking your medicine?” Sue asked.
“I don’t need your poisons.”
“I figured you would choose the hard way.” Sue smirked.
They then force him to take the medication, a few pills and a shoot in his thigh to calm him. They remove the chains on him and strap him to the bed instead. Alone in the darkness of the room he dwelled on his emotions and ache of his body. The medications they forced in him always leave him physically and emotionally weak. His head felt like he was swimming while his stomach protested. Tears came to his eyes for no real reason and he fought against his bounds in frustration. He doesn’t naturally sleep on his back and the irritation of not being able to roll to his side would likely keep him awake for a while.
