Chapter Text
If you can sleep through constant sounds of whimpering and mumbles coming from beside you, you’re a god.
But clearly you weren’t, because your boyfriend was just lying there on his side, mumbling and whimpering.
It would probably be better if you woke him up, so you did.
”Suga. Suga wake up!” But he didn’t. So you turned him over so he can face you.
”SUGA!” you shouted. And he finally woke up, but in shock and it took him a while for him to focus on what was going on around home.
”Y/N.. is that you?” Koshi stuttered. His eyes were a bit teary, and he was slightly shaking.
”Koshi, are you alright? Did you have a nightmare?” You we’re actually really concerned. He looked traumatized.
Sugawara couldn’t even remember if it was a nightmare, due to how real it felt.
Not being able to answer your question, he just jumped on you, clinging onto you tightly.
You heard hiccups escape his mouth, meaning he’s crying.
You proceed to hold him tightly, while quietly reassuring him that you were there, and that you won’t be leaving anytime soon. While doing so, you rubbed his back gently.
It helped him a little bit, but you needed to do something else.
Why not sing one of his favorite songs? Maybe that can help? You don’t know, so you gave it a try.
Koshi has been listening to songs that gave a calm or nostalgic vibe, such as Billie Eilish or Joji.
With that in mind, there was a song you both were familiar with, and to think that you knew the lyrics well, singing it to him in a low voice would probably calm him down, making him able to sleep again.
…
Try not to abuse your power
I know we didn’t choose to change
You might not wanna lose your power
But having it is so strange
Sugawara started to get familiar with the tune and looked up at you.
You continued singing the song until Koshi started to yawn, slowly starting to release himself, and not hold onto you so tightly.
Would you
Try not to abuse your power
I know we didn’t choose to change
You might not wanna loose your power
But power isn’t pain
Finally, Sugawara was asleep in your arms; his quiet snores making him look adorable.
Instead of letting him go, you cuddled with him. The rain outside made things more peaceful.
Whatever his nightmare was, it won’t bother him anymore, you hope.
