Chapter Text
Consciousness slowly took back over as Leone shifted and squirmed in the silk sheets trying to find a good position to roll back over into and ease the dull headache he felt. It was easy to tell at least a few extra minutes or a cup of coffee would ease the pain, and the bed was entirely too comfortable to deny extra sleep, however trying to reach his arm over for his unexpected sleep partner (when did he fall asleep exactly anyways?) he was met with emptiness.
Propping himself on his elbows, he tried to look around and get the sleep out of his eyes, it was entirely too bright in this room. Damn Bucciarati not buying thick curtains for his home. Rubbing his face, it was clear he just was left alone in the room, he wondered if Bucciarati ended up moving part way through the night to the couch for space. But then again it didn’t explain the kiss on his end of things.
….right that kiss. Leone gently ghosted a finger over his lips and then shut them into a tight line remembering how quick and soft that moment was, was the other aware what he did? Or was it instinct? So many thoughts ran through his head that weren’t allowed to continue as the very man walked through the threshold of the room with two steaming mugs in his hand.
“Morning.” Nonchalant and cool, Bucciarati greets him and hands him a mug before sitting on the edge of the bed. “I put just a little bit of sugar in there for you too, don’t worry.”
And as attentive as always, just how Leone liked his coffee as he stared into the mug that was handed to him, it felt so… couple-like. Domestic? Something or another. He couldn’t bring himself to hate it either as the shorter man eased more into bed and closer to him, eventually resting some of his weight into Leone’s side before taking little sips between gentle blows to the cup. The visual was stunning, really. He felt more in love with the scenario in each passing moment before the pressing question surfaced up.
“What got you all like that last night?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
“I think you forced me to be worried about it.” Using his free arm, he wrapped it around Bucciarati’s waist and pulled him closer, effectively trapping him into the conversation. “You don’t usually go around asking people to comfort you, let alone let them know you’re feeling anything bad.”
Bucciarati sighed into his cup with an intense frown before resting his head into the crook of Leone’s neck. There went his heart racing again. “It’s stupid as fuck actually, so instead I’d rater you just kept kissing me like you were.”
Leone was quick to turn red and nuzzle his face a bit closer before letting out a low whisper, “You’ve probably heard dumber shit from me.”
“You say it cuter.”
“Since when did you become so flirty?” It was weird, but he really, truly wasn’t against it.
Bucciarati only shrugged at that and kissed Leone on the lips once again before giving another kiss on the cheeks.
“Let’s just enjoy the day together.”
“Ok.”
