Chapter Text
~7PM, Phoenix Wonderland stage~
Tsukasa stood in his place on stage, trying to keep his breathing steady. He heard Rui giving a short, spoiler-free introduction of the play and watched the curtains unveil him and the set once he was done. Tsukasa looked out to the audience, seeing the other various Sekai members there, along with the sunset. It was a pink and orange one, coincidentally, and he knew it was fitting, which cheered him up a little. The first bridesmaid/groomsman couple to walk out was Hinata and Touya, followed by Saki and Len, followed by Nene and Kaito, finally followed by Mizuki as a flower person, cheerfully throwing flower petals around. Backstage, Miku was distracting Emu until it was her turn to enter. Luka gave her a bouquet, and said, “You got this.” Meiko led Emu out, where the latter met in the middle of the stage with Rui. Emu looked around, realizing what this play was.
Tsukasa saw Emu and nearly forgot to breathe. She looked stunning, and he got a slideshow of flashbacks surrounding them. Rui led Emu down the aisle before taking his place with the groomsmen. Emu stood in front of Tsukasa and smiled brightly, almost tearing up. He felt his heart pounding in his chest, but in a good way. He’d been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever, and whether it was the real deal or not, he knew he would cherish it forever. Luka stood behind them and started playing the role of the priestess. After Tsukasa and Emu said their “I do”’s, Luka said, “By the power vested in me by Phoenix Wonderland, you are now married. You may kiss the bride.” Tsukasa and Emu kissed with tears in their eyes, holding each other close. The audience applauded them, and so did the other cast members. The couple pulled back from the kiss, staying close. “Happy half-anniversary, Emu.” Tsukasa said, letting a happy tear fall.
~Phoenix Wonderland courtyard~
After the play, everyone was brought to the center of the park for a party. A set of tables and chairs were there, each labeled with a unit name. There was also a dance, floor, a DJ booth, and Leo/Need’s instruments. Rin and Len had brought the cake out to the courtyard, which was masterfully decorated, complete with little minifigures of Tsukasa and Emu at the top, with Emu’s being noticeably shorter. Kanade went to the DJ booth, having been dared by Mizuki to DJ for the occasion. There were tables and chairs set up around the courtyard, with each unit getting their own table. Tsukasa and Emu sat front and center, where their table was located. Everyone else took their seats, and Kanade tapped the mic and cleared her throat before speaking. “Testing, testing. Can everyone hear me?” Everyone gave some form of confirmation. “Great.” Kanade held up a small notecard with what to say. “Hello, everyone. I’m K of 25ji, night chord de. I will be DJ’ing for this event. Would the bride and groom like to come up to the dance floor for their first dance?” Emu and Tsukasa nodded and went to the dance floor. The latter gave a quick signal, and Hinata and Touya joined them, and Ichika walked nearby the DJ booth and picked up her guitar. Tsukasa whispered to Emu, “Chururira Chururira Daddadda.” Emu smiled and took her normal spot for the song, noticing Touya was in Rui’s and Hinata was in Nene’s. Ichika and Kanade started playing the song, and Emu, Tsukasa, Touya, and Hinata sang and danced along. Nene, having taught Hinata the song and dance backstage while Emu was getting her makeup done, watched with a smile. Rui had taught Touya the song and dance while they were prepping for the event. Everyone cheered once the song was done, and the performers, save for Kanade, went back to their seats.
~Later that evening~
After performances by the rest of the units and speeches from certain people, as well as the cake cutting, Kanade said, “Next up is the...” Kanade said, checking her note card again. “...bridesmaid speech by Saki Tenma.” Saki walked up to the dance floor with a small piece of paper, but didn’t open it yet. She smiled brightly as she started talking into the mic. “Thank you for letting me be here tonight. I’m Saki Tenma, keyboardist of Leo/Need and little sister of Tsukasa. When he told me that he and Emu started dating, I was really happy because I knew they were perfect for each other. He even let me be his wingwoman sometimes.” She laughed a little. “And I can tell my efforts paid off. I’m glad they’ve been happy together for this long, and super happy I got to plan this with Tsukasa and so many others. So if you were part of the planning committee, stand up! You all deserve a round of applause!” Tsukasa, Nene, Rui, Touya, and Mizuki stood up, and everyone else clapped for them. Emu looked around, smiling, noticing that all these people helped to surprise her. She stood up and hugged Tsukasa tight as a thank you, the latter hugging her back and kissing her forehead. Everyone sat down before Saki, who was watching the sunset, continued. Going off-script, she said, “I noticed the sunset kinda matches the 2 of them; pink and orange. But I can’t wait to see the stars. Especially when I’m looking at 2 of them right now.” Saki looked at Tsukasa and Emu when she said that, and Tsukasa’s face practically lit up. “We have one last song to perform, and I think it fits them very well.” The other members of Leo/Need, as well as Miku, walked up to the stage and got their instruments quickly set up. Saki got her keyboard in place and took a breath before saying, “Stella.”
Saki started playing her keyboard and singing, as did the others. When eyes weren’t on her, Miku looked at the Virtual Singer table and noticed that Kaito and Meiko were gone, and smiled a little, knowing their plan. During the bridge of the song, the two of them came running back to the courtyard, taking their seats again. Tsukasa saw them and wrapped his arm around Emu, pointing to the sky ahead of them. A few moments later, fireworks started going off, and Emu was astounded. Saki saw Emu’s stunned look as she sang and played her heart out. As Saki and the others sang, “Zutto...zutto...zutto!”, fireworks burst with “ず” in orange, “っ” in orange and pink, and “と!” in pink. Tsukasa let a tear roll down his cheek as he watched his master plan come to fruition beautifully. When the song ended, Leo/Need got a standing ovation from the audience, with Emu even standing up on her chair as she clapped. Saki smiled, crying a little as well.
After everybody helped clean up, Tsukasa and Emu trailed off separately from everybody else, sitting on the edge of the stage. “This was the best surprise ever!!” Emu said. “I’m so happy you planned this, Tsukasa-kun!” “Anything for you, my princess.” Tsukasa said as Emu stood up. “Although I have a little surprise for you! Stand over there!” Tsukasa stood where Emu pointed, which wasn’t too far in front of her. With that, she started spinning in place, gaining speed by the second, and saying, “Guruguru! Guru! Rururururu!” Tsukasa knew what was coming and braced for impact. Emu tackled Tsukasa after a few seconds, and they both fell to the ground. “Fuee...no more guruguru...” Emu said, feeling dizzy. “There you are!” Nene said, running up to them with Rui in tow. “I told you we should’ve looked here first, dumbass!” She yelled at Rui. “Calm down, I wanted to let them have their moment.” “Fair enough.” “Why were you looking for us?” Tsukasa asked. “Because Rin and Len are shooting frosting at each other and Miku wanted you to watch. We weren’t looking long, so they should still be at it.” Rui said. “I wanna watch!” Emu said, back to her normal enthusiastic self. “I’m down.” Tsukasa said. The four Wonderlands x Showtime members made their way to the Kagamine twins, chatting along the way, reminiscing of their evening of dreams.
