Wondering how a child gets stuck in the vines. He walked up to the child, crouching down." Hello little one, how did you get all those vines tangled around you."
The tiny child tries to reach towards master Qui gon, but the vines tighten around him and pull him closer to the plants.
" Master what's wrong." Xanatos walked up to him.
" It looks like I have a little problem with this."
"How did that happen?"
The child watches them. Qui gon placed his hand on his chin. Trying to think what to do. He reached out a hand to the child, the vines moved up to block his hand." It looks like the plants do not want to let you go, little one." The boy made an unhappy huph.
"Master, why are the plants doing this?" Standing next to Qui gon. They both look at one another. Then the child tried to move but failed again from the vines." I think the little kid really doesn't like the plant holding him."
" No he doesn't, but why are they doing this?" He kneeled in front of the child. The vines move to block him again. He placed his hand on one vine.
" Excuse me, but I don't think the little one likes you holding him."
Our light/ must protect/can't have/don't touch!
Shocked by this he looked at Xanatos. He shrugs." I don't know plants, unlike you."
" Yes, well I have never seen anything like this." Then the vines got tighter. The boy made a little whimper " You need to let the child go, you're hurting him. I don't think you like hurting him, don't you." They waited for a long solid few seconds then the vines finally let go of their grip on the child.
Seeing this the child got up and ran up to Qui gon
" You're a very welcome little one."
The child looked up at him and smiled brightly. For the first time for Qui gon and Xanatos they can sense the child in the force. Shiny brightly like a sun, no wonder the plants wanted to be next to him.
" Padawan, I think we met our mystery force child."
"But how did he hide from us in the force?"
"Don't know, but what I do know is that this little one shouldn't be out here alone." Looking done at the child. The child hid his face in Qui gon robes.
"Now little one you can't just hide in my rodes." Then a vine came up behind the child. Wanted to see what it was going to do. He let it come close to the child. The boy turned his head to face the vines. He smiled brightly then the vines patted his head and moved away. Turning around to see what Padawan was doing. Xanatos stands there with his jaw dropped.
"Did that plant pat his head?"
" Yes it did." Looking back at the child. He gave a smile then scooped up the boy. The boy squealed with laughter. And Qui gon joined in. Xanatos couldn't help but join in too.
" Now let's get you back home."
" Okay." In a tiny voice
Xanatos with a smile in his mind, kriff that was way too cute for a child.
They all walk to the path and follow it again. It took some time until they're standing in front of the gate to the house. The wall around the house was about 10 feet. To make sure that no one can get in or no one can get out. But it looks like that didn't stop this little one in Qui gon arms.
The gates open for them to get in. They walked in and the whole land was all green grass with few trees. There were deer-like animals walking around near a large pond. The house itself was covered in green vines. As they walk towards the house, they can hear people freaking out.
"Looks like someone is going to be in trouble."
"Ah oh." As he hid his face in his chest. Xanatos and Qui gon chuckle.
A man walked out of the house frantically looking around. Then his eyes landed on the jedi's. His copper brown hair is slick back. With a clean cut short Beard. He was wearing a black brown coat. The sleeves are long and tight, the collar is wide and the front opens very deep in order to show off the waistcoat his pants were a tan color.
He walked towards them. Then his eyes widened to see the little runaway was in the arm of the jedi.
" Obi-wan." He ran up to them. Qui gon gave the child to the father." You made us worried sick." He places a kiss on top of Obi-Wan's head. Hugging him tight swaying.
" I'm guessing you're Mr. Kenobi." Qui gon said with a chuckle.
" Yes I am. Thank you for finding my little runaway."
" Your runaway was in a little strange situation.
" Do tell me when we show his mother that he is safe."
" Soary." Burying his head in his father's shoulder.
" Please don't do that." Walking in the house people freaked out on where the young kenobi had gone. A woman with a long sundress with her hair tied up in a bun like a ponytail. She looks like she is ready to kill the next person that says they can't find her baby.
She turns to see them and then her baby.
" Obi-wan." Running up to her husband. She snatched up obi-wan at his hands. The other people sigh in relief that Obi-wan was found. Placing kisses all over his face. Obi-wan protested the kisses. But that did stop her.
" Obi-wan, you can't tell me to stop, you scared us half to death." That last part was a little bit too loud for Obi-Wan. He flinched from his mother's voice with a hint of anger and fear. Mrs. Kenobi noticed it and hugged him closer." I'm sorry my child for scaring you, but you gave us a really big scare."
"Now let's make some tea for those who found my baby boy." She turns to the jedi." What is your name, Jedi?
" I am master jedi Qui gon jinn and this here is my Padawan Xanatos du Crion."
" Thank you master jinn and Padawan crion for bringing Obi-Wan back here safely." The father bowed to them." I know our home was a long walk over here, and I'm sure that you're both hungry. I do hope you like turkey Pinwheel.
" That would be grateful, thank you.
< Hey Master do you think there will be any desserts<
With a cocky smile
< I don't know why not>
" Excuse me Mr. Kenobi, but would it be ok to have dessert after the food?"
Mr, Kenobi thinks then his wife times in," oh that sounds like a lovely idea.
"Ok, I hope you like crescent rolls."
With sparkles in his eyes, jump at the opportunity
" Never tried that before. What is it? If I may ask."
" It's a croissant with strawberry filling and powdered sugar."
They walked in one of the rooms and stayed down. Mrs Kenobi hasn't put down obi-wan. There was one long couch and two leather chairs. Mrs Kenobi took the chair on the right and Mr Kenobi took the chair on the left. Qui gon and Xanatos took the long couch.
Then a light purple Twi’lek girl that has a scar on her left eye made it grey walk in with the turkey Pinwheel." Here it is madam." She placed it at the coffee table in the middle of them.
"Thank you sweetie."
Mrs Kenobi maneuvers Obi-Wan to be more comfortable sitting on her lap, grabs one roll and gives it to Obi-Wan. Then Mr, Kenobi sat on the right." Now I would love to know where you found my son." Grabbing one roll.
" I don't think you would believe it." Giving one to Xanatos.
" It depends, like how my son got through the gate without anyone noticing him."
" Yes, well it looks like the plants really like your son and try to keep him."
Both of the Kenobi stared with wide eyes. Obi-wan finished with his roll and tried to reach for another one. Qui gon notice and use the force to give him one. Obi-wan gave him a big smile and continued eating.
Mr Kenobi covered his face with one hand, shoulder shaking. Then a huge laugh came out. After the laugh settles." Now that is the strangest thing I ever heard."
" I know that everybody wants to be near Obi-Wan but I never hear about a plant that wants my child." Mrs Kenobi said as she grabbed a napkin to wipe Obi-Wan's face.
" Yes, and I never see or hear about this until we stumble upon your son. Very few can hide their force signature from a master jedi. And your son just vanished in the force. If it weren't for him trying to move and the little sound he made I don't think we would have found him."
" I don't know what I would do if you couldn't find my child." Mrs Kenobi hugged Obi-Wan a little tighter thinking about what would happen if he was left there.
Then the Twi'lek came in with the crescent rolls.
" Here you go. It's fresh and hot." Smiling Happy. Obi-wan waved at her. She wave back
" Hi obi."
" Sabrina, would you like some?" Mrs. Kenobi offered.
" No thank you madam. I had a big lunch today and I need to finish my school work." Then she walked off.
" Mr. Kenobi, I have a question." Xanatos asked as he grabbed the sweet rolls.
" Yes, what is your question."
" It seems that you love your son very much, why give him to us?" Mr and Mrs Kenobi said nothing.
" Sorry if that's something you don't want to talk about."
Mr Kenobi shook his head." No, it's okay. We love our son and it pains us to think of this, but we do not know anything about force visions or nightmares."
This was something they rarely heard of. Jedi's see visions but for someone as young as obi-wan to have these terrible nightmares.
" That why we think giving him to your order will help him."
" We will make sure obi-wan gets the help he needs." Qui gon told Mr, Kenobi. Back to the silence Mr Kenobi reaches a hand to his wife, She holds his hand.
" Master Qui gon, is it ok for you and your padawan to stay here tonight. Just so we can be with our son a little bit longer." Mrs. Kenobi asked.
" We had a long day already. My padawan said that he was tired."
" We have some guest rooms for you and your padawan."
Throughout the time they talked, obi-wan got out of his mother's grasp and walked up to Xanatos. Xanatos turns his head to him. Obi-wan smiled at him and climbed up to his side. In the middle of Qui gon and Xanatos.
" It looks like obi-wan like you Xanatos." Qui gon laugh.
Xanatos smile and ruffle obi-wan hair. Obi-wan laughed when he did it. After they finish eating obi-wan hasn't left Xanatos' side. Where he goes obi-wan follows. Qui gon thought that Xanatos would be annoyed by obi-wan, but to his surprise Xanatos seemed happy with obi-wan.
As they play around, Qui gon talks to Kenobis about their son. Want to know what he likes, what he is allergic to, and how bad his vision is. When Qui gon looks up to the two boys he can see for a split second the future of them.
A knighted Xanatos and a young padawan obi-wan sitting in the middle of Xanatos and Feemore. Laughing and joking around.
He smiled at this future. Yes he would be a fine Jedi.
When the sun set, Qui gon and Xanatos went to their guest's room. Laying in bed, qui gon can sense Xanatos was thinking about something.
" What on your mind Xan."
" It just feels bad that Mr and Mrs Kenobi have to give their child to the order."
" I know but we can help him with the force.
" Ya when I am knighted and no one picks obi-wan. I meant to take him as my padawan." Qui gon chuckled
" I don't think you will be the only one that would want to have obi-wan as their padawan."
" You're right about that." Xanatos moves on his side.
" Goodnight master." Closing his eyes.
" Goodnight xan."
In the dead of night someone in a black cloak carefully broke through the door. Walking in the hall they found the one room they were looking for, obi-wan.
Quietly opened the door of obi-wan bedroom. Looking to the bed they walked up to it. Started to freak out, where is that brat.
When they turned around they saw a little red hair running out of the room. Kriff!
Running out he sees obi-wan running down the hall. Before obi-wan could yell for help, the cloak man covered his mouth. By doing this obi-wan scream in the force
HELP ME
" Shut it brat." Quickly gagging him and putting the force cuff. Pulling obi-wan on their shoulder. Obi-wan struggles in their grasp.
" There, that can shut you up." He started to run through the hall but then a sharp pain came through their right leg. Turning their head to see a very pissed off red hair mother with her blaster rifles.
" Let him go now." You can sense her anger in her voice. They pull out their blaster and try to shoot at her. Running away from her. The next thing they saw were two Jedi coming towards them. Using their blaster they shoot at the window and try to jump through, but Obi-wan wiggles out of their grasp.
Qui gon catch obi-wan from the fall. The figure already jumped out of the window. Taking the cloth out of obi-wan mouth and taking off the cuff. Obi-wan was crying in his hold. Mrs Kenobi ran to her child and picked him up.
" It's alright I'm here sweetie. That thing is not going to hurt you." Rocking and whispering to obi-wan. Guard ran to them," I want that thing captured now." She growled.
She carries obi-wan outside with the Jedi. Standing over the person's body was Mr Kenobi with a beskar spear. Looking very tired he limped to his wife and child.
" How is he?" He sounds out of breath.
" He's safe." Mr Kenobi walked up to her. Obi-wan crying softly in his mother's arms.
" Mr Kenobi, are you alright?" Qui gon asked in a concerning voice.
" Yes I'm just still recovering from my injury. That man put up a fight."
" How did you get hurt if I may ask?"
" Well you know fighting and defending royals and other stuff." He went back to pick up his spear. All walk back to the house.
Xanatos crosses his arms," Question Mr Kenobi but what do the kenobi clan do anyway."
" We are a warrior clan that protects others. And rescue other clans that need help. We are all trained in fighting and defense." Mrs Kenobi answered.
" Today has been eventful , but I can say that we can all go back to bed." Mr Kenobi declared.
Mr and Mrs Kenobi walk back to their room. They are not letting obi-wan out of their site. Obi-wan is in the middle of them. Obi-wan turned and buried his face close to his father. They both hug him close.
Getting obi-wan ready to leave, Mrs Kenobi places a huge kiss on obi-wan's cheek and Mr Kenobi kisses obi-wan forehead. Obi-wan hugs both of them and waves goodbye to Sabrina and she waves back. Qui gon picked obi-wan up and walked back to town.
" Will I see them again?" Obi-wan asks, wiping his tears away.
" Yes you will when you are knighted." Holding him close. Obi-wan snuggles close.
Standing in front of the Jedi council seeing so many people staring at him. Obi-wan really wants to walk up the tiny green thing. Something reached out in the force and obi-wan giggled. The whole room radiated happiness.
" Frighten you're not."
With a bright smile he shook his head," nope you all feel nice and bright and not dark and scary like that man back home."
" Master Qui gon what is he talking about?" Korun Humans ask.
" Well while we were there, a Death watcher broke in and tried to kidnap young kenobi."
" And why would they want young Kenobi?"
" We don't know because Mr Kenobi had killed the intruder so we couldn't know why they did it."
" Protected young Kenobi is here."
" I do have one theory on why they want to kidnap obi-wan."
" And what would that be?" Kel Dor asked.
" Obi-wan suffers from nightmares and visions. With how young he is and how strong these visions can be, I say they want to use that for an advantage for something."
" Troubling this is, Keep obi-wan safe we need, Or worse things could happen if not."
" Master Qui gon, can you take obi-wan to Vokara Che so she can check obi-wan." The Korun Human asks.
" Of course, obi-wan came along." Obi-wan walks up to Qui gon. Qui gon offered a hand to Obi-wan and he took it.
" Master che I got you a new patient."
" You have, have you?" A blue Twi’lek came out.
" Hello little one."
With wide eyes and a big smile," Hi!"
After that Qui gon took obi-wan to the Initiate dorm. A young female Mon Calamari befriends obi-wan and others. Making sure that he told the master that Obi-wan was allergic to hoi broth he left him. It looks like they have a bright star in their care.
