Chapter Text
Touya groaned as he lifted his head from the notebook he was writing in. It currently had some notes about his last patrol, which was mostly about Eraserhead.
He stood up knocking Snickers off his lap gently.
”Sorry Snickers. I need to get ready for my patrol toinight and to gather some materials for the support items.” Muttering to the cat.
Across the room lay his vigilante outfit tossed on a pile of blankets, that was his makeshift bed.
A small portion of sunlight streamed through the room, a window that was to the left of the mirror and desk. It was covered with cardboard that was taped to the top hanging off at a weird angle.
Touya quickly grabbed his backpack that was sitting beside his desk, a dark red book bag that matches his red hair.
If you looked closely you could see small white streaks peaking its way out.
He shoved everything off his desk into his bag and quickly shoved his vigilante outfit too. He zipped it up and hung it over his shoulder.
Touta stared around the dark room. The walls were grey and dusty, the floors were wooden and also stained and still kept clean. Touya not not that sloppy and lazy.
In one corner was his makeshift bed with some library books. Ah, he still needed to return them. He could do that later after breakfast.
Touya walked right to where the window was and kneeled on the floor. Under the window there was a crackled outlet with a phone charger plugged in. He reached for his phone and took it out of the plug.
A blue light laminated his face. A smirk appeared on his face. The time read 8:01 am. The cafe was already open.
He stashed his phone into his red and white hoodie with words printed on the front that read ‘Meow’.
He looked behind him to see Snickers making himself comfortable knitting the pile of blankets.
“Bye Snickers! I’ll be back soon.” He whispered shouted.
He turned his glaze back to the window and moved the cardboard cover off to the side still tapped. He felt cool fresh air breeze past his pale skin.
The window was broken, broken glass jutted from all sides of the window expect the bottom. Where Touya made sure to scrap everything off.
He lifted himself into a crouch and leapt out of the window. Below him an inch away was a tree laying right next to the building in a very confident alleyway. He never questioned why a tree would grow in a darkened place like this.
His feet landed on the tree without making a sound. He crept down stepping on small branches along the way.
Touya jumped off the tree when he was about a few inches above ground. He then made his way to the entrance of the cat cafe, but first stopping at the entrance of the alleyway.
A few people walked past without even a glance at the kid he sighed. People are so obvious. He stepped into the crowd of people and blended in.
He then stepped off to the side and entered the building that was downstairs to his home.
When he entered a bell small bell sounded that he entered.
It was quiet and warm which he loved. The inside was cozy and filled with kittens and cats roaming around.
There wasn’t any customers here yet. That means he’s here a bit earlier then usually.
Touya started moving to the front where the food was. A women in her late 40s stepped up to take his order.
Her face brightened when she saw him. “Touya! What a wonderful surprise! How are you today?”
Touya blushed in embarrassment. “I-I’m fine Miss Hanako. How are you?” He bowed in greetings.
”I’m doing well Touya. You want the usually?” She asked in a sweet tone that reminded him of his mother’s voice.
He nodded with a small smile on his face. His eyes didn’t match up to his smile but Hanako didn’t seem to notice.
In a couple of minutes Miss Hanako placed a white mug with black coffee and four mini waffles that were shaped like cats resting on a small white plate decorated by black cats.
He reached into his shorts pocket and took out some yen. The lady gave him back his change and he picked up his food.
“Thank you Miss Hanako!”
Miss Hanako laughed. “I told you, you can call me Grandma Hanako.” Grandma Hanako laughed.
Touya nodded and smiled as he went across the room and settled down on one of the black couches that occupied the right side of the cafe.
He placed his food on the table that was in the center and placed his bag on the floor by his feet.
He took his coffee mug and started drinking the coffee tiredly. He shouldn’t of stayed up late with his research.
His skin crawled as he felt something touch his skin. He yelped and quickly stood up as he spilled some of his coffee. “Damn it…Coco..” He muttered under his breath.
Gladly none of the coffee spilled on him. The black and white tuxedo cat peered at him with yellow beady eyes. “Awww…” He smiled.
He placed the mug back on the table and scooped up the cat, he sat back down and started petting the cats soft fluffy fur gently.

Shouta Aizawa’s POV
It had been a very long night with not enough sleep and coffee. So instead of sharing breakfast with his loud husband he exuded to visit his favorite cat cafe that was in town.
He even had a new case to go on. It was on a certain vigilante that had all the small and major pros irritated to there feet. He even got to speak to him, but what was even more concerning that he thinks it’s a kid.
It could definitely be possible with all the silly pranks the vigilante pulls with vandalizing a lot of the smaller pro heroes agencies. But he never targets the major ones which is a relief, which means this case is private and the media doesn’t know about it yet.
He just needed a break from his job and his teaching job too. The students give him a headache, they just don’t take the course seriously.
He blinked out of his daze and entered the building, he walked right up to the counter. Across from him was Hanako the owner of this glorious cat cafe.
From the corner of his glaze he could see cats roaming around and about and a red haired kid petting a cat. The kid looked so adorable and so innocent.
I wonder if that’s how the vigilante is..
“I’ll have a black coffee Hanako.” He asked in his usually tired tone voice.
“Coming right up Aizawa.” Hanako replied.
He peered down by his black boots as a gray and white cat leaped up onto his leg and tired to climb on. He chuckled.
”Hi, Nuzzle.” He greeted the cat.
The cat in purred rhythmic.
He lifted his head back up as a cup of swirling hot coffee was placed before him. He handed over the money to Hanako and took the coffee over to the black couches.
Nuzzle followed him like always. He saw the red hair kid writing in a notebook while still petting the cat from before.
Shouta sat down across from the kid and starting drinking his coffee.
He took out his phone and swiped up to unlock it. He scrolled through his emails pressing on the newest one.
It was from his husband. He would be late again do to teaching at U.A, but again Shouta would also be late because of his night time patrols.
The new case also overlapped their schedule together.
Shouta looked up for a brief moment staring at the kid taking notes down. It appeared to be advanced mathematics and support gear?
The kid paused writing and looked up his bright ocean blue eyes stared back at him glaring.
“You know it’s not nice to stare..My scars aren’t that pretty to look at..” The boy humored to himself.
Shouta blinked and shook his head as if he just got out of a trance and rested the mug on the table.
He looked more closely at the boy now seeing the scorched purple burn marks under both his eyes across his face under his mouth and neck and even arms.
He grimaced as Shouta figured the kid thought he was staring at his burn marks.
”Uhh..sorry kid, I wasn’t staring at you pre say. I was just amazed at the support gear that your coming up with.” Shouta explained pointing at the notebook.
The kids eyes widened in realization.
“O-Oh..Sorry, Um…want to see?” The boy whispered the last part but being on night patrols taught him a lot of stuff that he picked up on.
He started to form a small smile on his lips. This kid was so adorable. Wait what am I saying!? I don’t like this kid. Kids are annoying..But maybe this one is different…
