As Mina received Jeongyeon’s response to her, she noticed that it’s getting noisy outside. It’s about time that the employees come in.
Outside, as Jihyo is helping Tzuyu with her presentation, they heard someone noisy coming in.
??: Good morning guys! It’s another wonderful day of work!
As Tzuyu and Jihyo checked who it was, it was their ambitious assistant director.
Kim Dahyun, the girl who has too much energy and is quite a stickler for rules and seniority. She is with Mina and Jihyo as the seniors of their group. When the director position opened up, she and Mina battled for the position and Mina won barely.
JH: Good morning Dubs. I see that you are full of energy yet again.
DH: Of course Ji. You know me.
TZ: Good morning assistant director Kim. You seem happy as always.
Dahyun approached Tzuyu and pinched both cheeks of Tzuyu.
DH: Good morning too you too baby Tzu. I told you to just call me Dahyun unnie right?
As Jihyo swatted away Dahyun’s hands off Tzuyu’s face, Tzuyu rubs her cheeks to ease the pain.
TZ: That hurts Dahyun unnie. You don’t have to pinch that hard and I’m not a baby!
Dahyun grinned at the maknae which made the latter roll her eyes in annoyance.
DH: Of course you aren’t but you’re too cute so I can’t help it.
Jihyo looked at Dahyun, annoyed at what the latter for disturbing their work.
JH: We’re working on something right now Dahyun so we’ll catch up later.
Dahyun nods at Jihyo as she left to go to her workstation.
DH: By the way Ji, is director Myoui already here?
JH: Yes, Mina is at her office right now.
DH: Thanks Ji. I’ll leave you be.
Dahyun left her stuff on her workstation as she goes to Mina’s office.
Mina is checking some work emails when she felt dizzy out of the blue so she leaned back to her chair and closed her eyes for a bit. Shortly, she heard knocks on her door.
MN: Come on in.
As she sat straight from her chair and opened her eyes, she saw Dahyun’s smiling face disappear and was replaced with a face of worry.
DH: I just dropped by to say hi. Are you ok? You look pale. Funny coming from me but you know what I mean.
Mina chuckled at the antics of the younger girl but was cut short as her dizziness came back.
MN: I’m good Dahyun. Just felt dizzy for a bit but nothing major.
Dahyun approached Mina and placed her palm on the latter’s forehead.
DH: No fever so that’s good. Are you working yourself too much again Minari?
Mina took Dahyun’s hand away from her forehead and held the younger girl’s hand.
MN: That’s part of the job Dahyunnie. I can’t slack off as we are expanding and I need to work hard so that I can prove that I deserve this position.
Dahyun squeezed Mina’s hand and looked at the latter.
DH: Mina, for the nth time, you don’t need to prove anything to anyone here. I know we got a bit too competitive during the director selections but that’s behind me already. Besides, you are doing a great job at this so I don’t think anyone else deserves the position.
Mina looked at the younger girl and smiled earnestly.
MN: Thank you Dahyunnie. I know you fought hard to get this position and I just don’t want to let you down. I still feel that I don’t deserve this as Jeongyeon is the one who gave the deciding vote.
Dahyun moved her other hand to Mina’s hair and ruffled it making the later move her head backwards making Dahyun laugh.
DH: Mina, I never for one second believed that Jeongyeon’s decision is biased. We’ve been together with Jihyo here for the longest time so I know how you work. The tides might have changed if Jihyo joined the selections as she will win it in a landslide. It’s funny that our age order is also the same as our work competence.
Mina felt dizzy again after moving her head back so she leaned on her chair and rubs her temples.
DH: Are you sure that you are alright Mina?
Mina tried to respond but she blacked out making her almost fall from her chair. Good thing that Dahyun is just near her so she was able to grab hold of the unconscious woman.
Dahyun tried to wake Mina up but she’s not responding so she quickly asked for help.
DH: JIHYO! I need help with Mina!
As Jihyo heard Dahyun, she ran quickly to Mina’s office and Tzuyu followed her.
JH: What happened to Mina Dahyun?
Tzuyu stood still on the door as she witnessed the scene and let Jihyo handle it.
DH: I don’t know Jihyo, we are just talking then she fainted. I noticed that she’s a bit pale but she said that she’s fine earlier and she just dropped after.
JH: Ok Dahyun. For the meantime, you are in charge as I take Mina to the infirmary. Just try to make an excuse to everyone on our absence but I’ll keep in touch. Don’t tell anyone about this for the moment, even Jeongyeon understood?
DH: Ok don’t worry. I’ll handle the rest for the meantime.
Jihyo looked behind her and noticed the frightened look on Tzuyu.
Jihyo quickly approached her and placed her hands on the younger’s shoulder, making Tzuyu look at her.
JH: Hey, don’t worry ok? Believe me that it’s nothing serious. I just need your help on getting a wheelchair from the infirmary so we can safely bring Mina there. Can you do that for me?
Tzuyu quickly nods her head and dashes out of the office to the infirmary as Jihyo went to Mina’s side.
JH: Just when I told her to not push herself.
DH: Is she gonna be ok Jihyo?
JH: Don’t worry Dahyun, we haven’t checked yet but I think Mina will be hatching something soon.
Dahyun looked at Jihyo with a puzzled expression.
DH: What the heck are you talking about?
Jihyo stared at her and shortly realized what she meant.
DH: WHAT??!!
Jihyo quickly covered Dahyun’s mouth to not startle anyone that might be inside the office already.
JH: Shush Dahyun.
Dahyun can only make a muffled response but upon nodding, Jihyo lets her go.
DH: That was too sudden Jihyo. When did this happen?
JH: Again, we are not sure yet. Mina just told me earlier that she’s been feeling sick for a couple of days now and that happened when they started trying to conceive.
DH: Well, that makes sense but would it be awesome if that’s the case. I would want to be the kid’s best godmother.
JH: In your dreams Dahyunnie. You know that the title is already mine before you are even born. I’ve been with those lovebirds as long as I can remember. You can be the fairly pale godmother instead.
DH: Very funny Jihyo. Is Tzuyu still not back?
Jihyo noticed Dahyun’s worried face as she sends a message to Tzuyu.
JH: She’s on her way back already.
Jihyo placed her hand on Dahyun’s shoulder.
JH: Like I told you, it’s gonna be ok Dahyun.
DH: I trust you Jihyo. I’m just worried ok?
JH: You still love her even after she got married.
Dahyun looked at Jihyo for a moment then went back to check on Mina.
DH: Of course. I’ve already accepted it once Jeongyeon asked her to be her girlfriend but that’s just something that you can’t take away right away after all these years Jihyo. But don’t worry about me. I’m concerned as her good friend and nothing else.
JH: Of course Dahyunnie. I’m glad that you are her friend as well as mine and Jeongyeon.
Shortly, Tzuyu came in with the wheelchair as all 3 of them carefully placed Mina on it.
TZ: I’m sorry it took too long. I explained to the doctor what happened first. I should have brought the wheelchair first instead.
JH: That’s fine Tzuyu. You did well. I’ll be leaving now. Dahyun, you know what to do and Tzuyu, help Dahyun with the things that needs to be done today alright?
TZ: Of course Jihyo unnie.
As Jihyo carefully moved Mina to the infirmary, the other workers started coming in.
??: What is Jihyo doing this early in the morning?
As Dahyun looked at the person who asked, she saw her bubbly assistant Sana.
DH: Oh. Don’t worry about it Sana. Good morning by the way.
SN: Good morning to you too Dahyunnie.
DH: Let’s get to work. Where the heck is Momo and Chaeyoung?
