A month has passed since then and Kim Sunwoo is still waiting for any form of contact -a call or message, anything.
And for Haknyeon, he's not living his best life either. He can't even sleep a blink. It hurts knowing that he's in this kind of situation because he's not good enough for anybody, for Sunwoo especially. That's what he thought, though everybody knows that what he's feeling at that time is only the effect of being neglected by Juyeon. All sorts of thoughts keep coming inside of his already numb brain.
'What if he will leave me because of a change of heart'
'What if he's tired of waiting, leaving me for someone else'
'He deserves someone better, someone who's in his league'
He knows that Sunwoo told him not to worry as he'll wait for Haknyeon but he just can't stop overthinking things. He wakes up from his slumber and heads out to the nearest cafe for a cup of coffee. What he needs right now is just peace of mind. He sits at the far end of the cafe, taking a sip of his bitter but aromatic coffee. He looks outside the window. The weather is cloudy with dark colour paints the sky. He let out a soft sigh
'Is it going to rain soon? Even the weather understand my feeling..'
As he enjoying his time alone, a knock on his table snapped him out from his peaceful time. He looks up, kind of annoyed with the person. But his annoyed face then turns to frighten one.
' Haknyeon?' the voice is too familiar, the same voice that broke his heart 3 years ago.
' It's really you..W-what are you doing here, are you doing fine?' Haknyeon scoffs,
'Huh, are you listening to yourself right now? Yes, I'm doing fucking fine after you left me. Are you disappointed that I'm still alive? Ahh, you must be wondering why there's no news about a man jumping off a cliff because of a heartbreak right?' Haknyeon shoots him a glare, disbelief that he can ask a stupid question after all this time.
'I'm sorry Haknyeon. Let me explain, I-, I can't handle the guilt anymore. I have been looking for you for a long time now. Can we talk?'
'Are we in a talking term right now? Haknyeon gives him a sarcastic look. His eyes convey nothing but anger and disappointment. 'Be quick' He continues in a sassy manner, arms crossed. After all, he still needs the explanation that he deserves.
'I promised' He sits opposites of Haknyeon. He tries to form incoherent words, mouth-drying as he feels nervous to talk with him again. 'I'm sorry Haknyeon. What I said before were never the truth. It's all a lie that I make, as I can't choose between you and my-' he feels the lump in his throat as he tries to say the word.
'I- I can't choose between you and my soulmate' He finally said the word.
'What in the world are you saying? You said that you didn't meet your soulmates yet during that time. I thought that you're too busy to spend time with me. After all this time, you were lying to me?!' Haknyeon shouts, he can't control his anger anymore. He can't accept the fact that he's a third wheeler, a homewrecker.
'No... I'm not lying. I still didn't meet my soulmate yet when we were still dating. It's hurt to say this Haknyeon but during our 5th year anniversary, I met Hyunjae- my soulmate. He's working at the bakery, the place where I buy our anniversary's cake. I was confused, seeing him all happy when he found me. I just can't push him away. I feel guilty for both him and you'
' The time when I came back home, to see you smiling while waiting for me.=, I just can't bear the pain in your look if I told you the truth. I know it's a coward of mine to leave you alone without any explanation. It's also hard for me to leave you, please believe me. But looking back at my decision before, I didn't regret choosing him over you. You deserve to find your own happiness with your own soulmate, and Hyunjae, I can't leave him alone too. . I can feel the spark of love when I'm with him. It's the law of love in our world. Please understand.' Juyeon finally told him everything that has been kept in his heart.
'I don't care if you hate me more than before because I deserve it. Curse me, hit me. I don't care but please don't blame yourself anymore after this.' Juyeon finishes his word with a single tear dripping from his left eye.
And Haknyeon? He just sitting there quietly, trying to comprehend all the information that he gets. After disappearing from his radar for 3 years, now Juyeon is sitting there in front of him, telling him the hurtful truth that makes his world crumble all this year. He's so cruel to do this to him.
'I- Wow, I just' Haknyeon let out a hurts chuckle. 'All of this time I believe that our relationship didn't work like we want because I was not good enough for you. I thought that I was a burden, having you working as an idol makes you feel sick to be with someone ordinary like me' Haknyeon's knuckles turn white as he grips his coffee mugs too hard. He's ready to throw his hand to the man in front of him. He's so close to sending him to the ICU, dragging him down to his grave. The genre almost changes from sad to horror but his rationality beats him.
' You're the biggest jerk that I've known, the biggest sin that I've committed. It's a sin to love you, to believe that we can be different even without the soulmate thing.' Haknyeon chugs down his leftover coffee, dragging the chair backwards as he tries to wake up.
' Just for your knowledge Juyeon' Saying his name seems so bitter now. 'I'll repent myself, and I'll show you my life with my soulmate is more beautiful than what we had before. Enjoy your life with your lover, I hope we don't meet again.' Haknyeon dashed out from the cafe.
Haknyeon dugs his hand into his pocket, fishing his phone out to call someone. The line is connected after a few seconds and his heart skips a beat.
'Haknyeon?' the voice on the other side is calling his name in a longing way. He misses the voice so much.
'Are you okay Haknyeon? What happens, are you hurt? Can we meet?' Sunwoo bombarding him with questions, worries is obvious in his voice.
' No, I'm okay. And yes please, I really want to meet you' Haknyeon said with desperation. He really REALLY want to meet Sunwooo.
'Wait for me at the park near your company'
'Yes, I will. See ya' Sunwoo replies happily before hangs up. Haknyeon doesn't waste any second and quickly took a cab heading to the park. He's excited and nervous to meet the boy again after a long time
It's almost dawn when Haknyeon arrives at the park, only the light from the streetlight to illuminate the surrounding. Haknyeon searches for Sunwoo, not wanting to let the man waits any longer. Then he saw his back.
He quickens his pace, taking big steps. Each step he thinks of how he's lucky to have Sunwoo waiting for him. The picture of Sunwoo's back getting clearer with each second passes -this is the back of someone who I will be seeing every day. This is the back of someone that will never betray me, that will hug me when I'm feeling down. This is the back that I have done many wrongs and I will beg for his love for the rest of my life if he decides to not love me anymore. Sunwoo hears loud footsteps behind him. He turns around and is shocked with a sudden impact on his body when Haknyeon throws himself at Sunwoo. He can feel the warmth of Haknyeon's body against him. He hugs the boy back tightly, closing the gap between them 'Sunwoo, I miss you very much' Sunwoo hears the faint sound coming from Haknyeon. He kisses the crown of Haknyeon's head, sniffling the sweet scene of his shampoo.
'Me too, little one. Me too..' Sunwoo can't describe how happy he is to be able to hold him again.
Haknyeon looks up to meet his eyes. He smiles when his gaze meets with the soft expression of the other.
'Thank you for waiting for me. I'm sorry for hurting you by letting you wait for so long. It's so selfish of me to let you be alone. But now I'm brazen myself to tell you the words' He pauses his word, watching the expression of his lover in front of him soften with each word he says.
You don't need to apologize my love. I'll wait for you even if I need to sacrifice my life to do so.' Sunwoo holds the boy tighter in his arm.
' I love you Sunwoo' Haknyeon let out the words. He desperately clinging to him, afraid to let go as if he'll leave him. He looks like a small baby that ready to cry if he lost the warmth of Sunwoo. He waits for any response from Sunwoo but nothing comes so he pushes himself a little, looking up to Sunwoo and meet his mischievous look.
' Why are you so quiet?' Haknyeon asks, not satisfied with the silence.
'What am I supposed to say hmm, why don't you tell me?' Sunwoo asks back with a smirk plastered on his face.
' Are not you supposed to say I love you too to me?' Haknyeon sulks, burying his head further into the younger. 'It's not too late for me to run right' he silently thought and Sunwoo can only cooed at his cuteness. . Sunwoo loosens the hug, face inches away from Haknyeon. He softly puts his hand on Haknyeon's cheeks, cupping his face in the process. Sunwoo looks at the pink, plump lips then closing the gap to plant a soft kiss. Haknyeon relaxed his body and wrapped his arms around Sunwoo's neck. He smiled in the kiss and kiss him deeper. The kiss lasts for a few seconds until Haknyeon pulled away to search for Oxygen. Sunwoo just giggles at his cuteness. He pulls Haknyeon again to rest his forehead on Haknyeon's. They locked eyes, looking at the galaxy stored in the round, dark orbs.
' I love you too' Sunwoo whispered against his lips and leaning again to kiss him again. That night, both of them can feel the euphoric feeling from knowing that they're destined to be together.

Sunwoo and Haknyeon are cuddling on the couch in Haknyeon's house. Haknyeon is lying on the couch, head on Sunwoo's lap. Sunwoo is playing with Haknyeon's haor when suddenly he remembers one thing that Haknyeon forgot to tell him.
' Baby, you forget to tell me what happened during your past' Sunwo asks, eyes anticipating an answer from Haknyeon.
' It's nothing really. I was in a relationship with an idol once and he left me for his soulmate. Nothing much, really' Haknyeon answer mindlessly. He doesn't care about what in the past now as he's ready to make his world full of memories with Sunwoo in the future.
'Okay, I'm not expecting that. So because of that, you're scared to fall in love with me because I'm an idol too?' Sunwoo asks again, his hand is now starting to caress the boy's cheek.
'Yes, but now I do not worry anymore. You're not going to left me, are you?' Haknyeon looks up to see Sunwoo's face.
'Of course not baby. I'll never leave you, you're my world now' he gives him the sweetest smile. 'But now I'm wondering, who's the idol?' Sunwoo can't help but to wonder who's the person who dared to hurt his Haknyeon but he also wants to thank him for letting Hak go because he can declare Haknyeon as his boyfriend.
' His name is Juyeon but he goes with LJ as his stage name'
The word coming out from his mouth shocks Sunwoo.
'Are you talking about that LJ ?!. What the fuck Haknyeon. He's my best friend! What in the world?!' Sunwoo shouts loudly, shocking Haknyeon on his lap.
Haknyeon gets up from his lying position to sit. 'Wait wHat?!' Haknyeon also shout in disbelief.
In the end, both of them just stay silent. But what's important is, Sunwoo cuts off his friendship with Juyeon.
