Rukia stands there staring at her older brother trains, he moves so fast no wonder he is nickname the prince of flash step. Rukia thought it impossible to ever reach this level flash step. Byakuya sheath his sword and walk toward Rukia who seem lost in thought.
"Rukia, are you well?" Byakuya asked
"Yes nii-sama, I was just thinking. you wanted to see me?"
"Yes, I have some free time I thought we could train together. With everything going on we should all try to get polish our skills." Byakuya stated.
"You're right, thank you for taking the time to train with me nii-sama." Rukia said with a slight bow of her head.
"alright come at me with everything you got without using your shikai." Byakuya unsheathe his sword and step back in the training ground. Rukia follows her brother's action and charge at him as fast as she can and strike. Byakuya easily block the blow, Rukia step back to place some distance between them. "I said come at me with everything, I am certain that is not all you got Rukia. Again." A very serious Byakuya stated.
Rukia now very determine to land at least one blow strike again. She strike and he parries, every attack. Rukia knows how strong her brother is but not being able to land a single blow on him hurts her pride just a little bit.
"stop" Byakuya commanded
"I can still continue please nii-"
"Rukia I'm not done yet, I think you are a bit too emotional when you fight. It is not always a bad thing but if you let it take control of you, you might end up making mistake you wouldn't normally make. It is good to remember why you fight but try t fight with a clear head. Don't just think about winning or what not, analyze your opponent find their weakness, find an opening or create one yourself."
"Hai Nii-sama, I will remember that, thank you."
"Now come at me again." and so they train until late evening, by the time they were done it was dinner time.
"You did well Rukia, I think your skills are improving greatly." Byakuya gives Rukia one of his rare compliment and an even rarer small smile.
"Thank you very much nii-sama, if it is not a bother can we train again?" Rukia is very happy that Byakuya is acknowledge her strength but after training with him, she realize that she has a long way to go. It is very bold of her to ask him to train again but the worse thing he can say is no.
"What about tomorrow about 1800, I have homework to grade and I am certain you have school work also, we can train after I'm done. It is dinner time, you should go get ready."
"Hai, see you at dinner nii-sama, thank you again." she bows and left the training ground.
Rukia take a quick shower because she is starving, and dinner is ready. Everyone except Byakuya was at the table. "Where is Byakuya-chan?" Yoruichi ask. Byakuya walks in the room at this exact moment and greets everyone before taking a seat next to Rukia. "Speak of the devil and he shall appear" Urahara whisper. They ate in silence for the most part except for the occasional small talk about their day.
After dinner Kisuke announce that it was time to talk business. " I already text Ichigo and his friends they are on their way. We finally have some information in to these new attacks." Urahara explains. A knock on the door let them know that their friends have arrive. "Please let them in Tessai." Urahara said
" Why would you hold this meeting this late on a school night Kisuke? couldn't it wait?" Ask Ichigo as soon as he walks in, the others greet everyone and sits waiting for Ichigo to finish with he's rant.
" No it could not wait Ichigo, this is important. Now that everyone is here let's get started. The floor is your Yoruichi."
" well as you all know there has been a lot of hollow attacks lately, which is very unusual even for this town. Kisuke and I decided to investigate the problem and I discover some troubling information. It seems like Hueco Mundo has a new king who is raising army of arrancars to take revenge on the soul society, I believe these attacks are a distraction." when Yoruichi is done, everyone is stun by the news.
"How can that be we defeated Aizen and most of the espadas." Ichigo ask still confuse by all this new information.
"Someone else took his place and trying to finish what Aizen started." Uryu said as if thinking out loud
"This is why we couldn't wait, I already warn the soul society. We have to wait for further instructions, until then we have to take care of this hollows and prepare for the worse. Urahara explains.
"Do we have to travel to Hueco Mundo again?" Orihime asked, not wanting to go back to that horrible place, no one blames her.
"We might have to, but no one said you have to go Orihime-chan." Yoruichi gives her a small smile
"I can't let my friends go alone, if everyone is going then so will I." Orihime said smiling, these were her friends and she will have to get over her fear one day anyways.
"I know this is all sudden but I suggest when going patrolling the streets everyone do so in pairs. I know Ichigo often goes with friends but the rest of you make sure you don't go alone." Urahara says the last part while looking directly at a certain Kuchiki.
"Let's go guys we still have school tomorrow." Ichigo already standing and ready to leave.
"Good night and be careful." Rukia said while waving her friends off.
Rukia went to bed still in disbelief about everything, it took so much to defeat Aizen now there is a new threat comparable to him fills her with worry. "I'm going to train even harder than before, I'm not losing my friends or watch Ichigo loses his power again." Rukia promise to herself.
Byakuya also have trouble sleeping, he is not happy about a new Aizen who's building an army to attack his home. As a captain in the Gotei it is his responsibility to protect the soul society even if it requires laying down his life to achieve, and he has no problem with dying if it means protecting what is important to him, his home and Rukia. The last time he almost loses her, there has been a lot of almost losing her and he don't need another one.
