simon breaks into nahyuta's office, says that he's there on behalf of apollo, and demands that nahyuta goes with him, even sticking out his hand to emphasize his point. nahyuta agrees to go with him and grabs his hand, but only because simon was going to be his stubborn self if nahyuta didn't go with him. only reason. yeah
so simon drags nahyuta down to the garden entrance, and tells them to show them their garden. just to give nahyuta a reason to leave their office, yknow. simon didn't really want to see the garden, that's gay..... yeah
so nahyuta walks simon through some parts of the garden, pointing out various flora and fauna as they go ("the reason these flowers are so low to the ground is because the khura'inese bumblebee is too heavy to fly any higher than 20cm" "...neat"). nahyuta slowly gains more enthusiasm as they continue on, rejuvenated by the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the garden. simon can feel it, too. maybe simon should get out more.
soon enough, they make their final stop at the base of a tree, in the back corner of a small clearing, a few meters away from a koi pond (they had stopped to feed the koi, of course). the area they sit is lush with vegetation, and a few critters come out of hiding to greet nahyuta. they smile serenely at the added company, picking up some of the animals in order to show to simon. the animals take a second to warm up to the imposing man accompanying their friend, but soon enough, he's holding a tiny bunny in his hands. nahyuta takes a mental snapshot of the scene, before remembering that they brought their phone with them, and that they can take an actual picture of them. they pull their phone out of their coat and take a picture of simon grinning at the little bunny, before simon demands that he gets to take a picture of nahyuta in return. silly panda man. i love him. simon snaps a picture of nahyuta softly smooching a bird that perched on their finger. cutie. god i love these two sm
soon enough, they put down the little babies and they scamper off to their little homes with their families. it's back to just nahyuta and simon now, the two alone under the shade of the tree. nahyuta seems content with just taking in the scenery, but they notice that simon is a little restless from just sitting there. they offer to play some music, but mention that it likely won't quite fit simon's tastes, because the actual music they like to listen to would scare the animals. simon is a little afraid. he says that nahyuta can play the nice music, so they do.
the music helps simon relax some, and nahyuta loosens up more with the help of it. they softly hum along to the tune, melodic and enchanting. it really enhances the music, simon thinks. it really does.
after a few minutes, the humming fades out, despite the music still continuing to play. a weight falls on simon's shoulder, which he soon notices is nahyuta's head. he smiles softly. their little trip must've worn them out. he stops the music and slips the phone into his pocket, before scooping nahyuta into his arms and carrying them out of the garden, saying goodbye to the koi as they leave. he's glad he made them show him their garden. what a nice day.
