Chapter Text
I angled my ship with everything I could find, and then I saw a 3-D hexagon on my radar and activated my Pulse Engine, and reached there. Then, just like always, it is disabled for some weird reason, this time Space Station Proximity, which has some purpose, and I suppose that if you go over 100,000MPH on a planet you'll crash. But why does it act like that when I'm being attacked by hostile strangers? Could it be that they are hacking the system with advanced technology I have never heard of? Could they? So, after thinking about these dark things, I fly into the blue triangular entrance and land on a circular landing pad, and after my ship's front was facing the back of the station, it turned and I ended up staring at outer space.
I started selling my gold and silver and rare valuable items to the Gek, ones that love discussing the economy and about money, and mostly overpricing and being greedy. Then with the units and nanites, I bought the chromatic metal and wiring loom and more chromatic metal and carbon nanotubes. I then went to the blueprints center and got blueprints for a weapon described as "Offensively Defensive Combat Device", or a Boltcaster. You can tell what it does right by the name. So then I made it, and with the remains and wiring loom, I made something called an AtlasPass, which lets others activate tons of hidden things you don't see another day, like Sentinel bases, like on the Haunted Planet. I was ready to start towards that planet and set my feet again and bring them down. Maybe even bury some with my Terrain Manipulator. After that thought, I heard myself laughing for the first time since I left my home to explore the Multiverse years ago and then found myself here. I walked towards my ship, and somehow my ship didn't lose launch fuel when I took off. Then I remembered that the Space Station workers always put a temporary lasting device that stores fuel inside the ship and uses its own fuel to make starships fly.
I flew towards the Haunted Planet, and I even labeled it like that. My ship accelerated slowly and then after I was out of the Space Station zone, I pulled the two levers on the left and right and turned on the Pulse Engine. The Haunted Planet was only 10 units away, and then in a blink, I was already inside the planet. Then I proceeded to the Trading Post because the Sentinel base was right next to it, only 30 units. Then I landed on one of the pads, just like the ones at the Space Station, and then got out. I turned my Multitool onto Boltcaster mode, and bravely I walked towards the base. I was ready to change to my next tool, the Terrain Manipulator just in case I had to go underground to hide from Sentinels. The main reason I crafted a Boltcaster in my Multitool was to break open the doors of the Headquarters not to shoot down Sentinels. But if I was able to kill a Walker that would have got summoned when I broke in, I would sweep out the Sentinels until I left the planet. Then I was ready to start. I shot as much as I could, and the moment the alarm sounded was the moment the door broke. In a panic, not so brave anymore, I switched to Terrain Manipulator and dug down quickly before the hostile scan was done and I was safe from the Drones of Doom, otherwise known universally as Sentinels.
Once the search was done and the Sentinels weren't in the same state as me I flew up my hole and quickly ran into the base before anyone could get me. I was then safe from everything. I expected a huge factory producing Sentinels, but all I saw was a blueprint terminal. But I salvaged all the data I could and discovered how to make tons of things I never knew existed. Maybe my old brain as an Anomaly knew it, but since I basically changed my life changing my race, it changed. After taking the data, I recharged my Boltcaster with Projectile Ammunition I had found from the Sentinel Dog scraps when I first came on the Haunted Planet.
I found a Walker, and immediately it started firing, I quickly started shooting it with my Boltcaster, which was soon to be updated into a Barrel Ioniser, which was an upgrade for the Boltcaster. I seemed to know more about technology as a Korvax. I ran and kept hiding, shooting the Walker and its reinforcements that it kept summoning. Then I ran away when it was at low health but was in a rage. I dug a hole underground with my Terrain Manipulator, and the hole was exactly big enough for me but too small for the Walker. Then while its madness was in progress, it started thrashing things in its path, like the Trading Post. It nearly caused an earthquake, making everybody on the Trading Post panic and run into their ships to flee somewhere safer. Only my ship was there, and one of the pillars collapsed, making debris fly everywhere and metal chunks too. Then as the two objects rubbed together they made sparks, which made fire. Then the Trading Post itself started to burn. But it was at low health, I couldn't leave. Once its rage was over, I ran out of the hole and quickly shot it with every single electro-bullet my Boltcaster could fire. I ran out of the way while it shot lasers in fury, almost breaking the section which had my starship on it. But luckily it broke the part which only held the post, so nobody was hurt. If it destroyed my ship I would be hurt. Then a miracle happened. One of its cannons backfired, quite literally, and it shot itself while the cannons burst into flames. The remains of the Walker were left, and only a drop of cargo was left. But unfortunately, the Walker had exploded the moment I had salvaged the material from the cargo drop. I nearly died, but I had some Oxygen to revive myself. The Trading-Post's landing section which held my ship had crashed, and my ship started to fall quickly, from all the weight from my material and the weight of the ship itself. Then, it turned on Autopilot and flew up the moment before it crashed, and then landed. I had mined lots of things to upgrade my Boltcaster to Barrel Ioniser. Then, I started to feel sad wondering about my journey. I felt very lonely with nobody I knew. Maybe I could make friends on a Trading Post. I could have a partner to travel with.
I started to walk towards my ship, which turned into running because the Sentinel Walker had made its last movement - another explosion. It was even larger, and it rocked the ground like a new-born human in a cradle, and the Headquarters of Sentinels had exploded and turned into ashes, besides the Construction Terminal, which was overheated from when I raided the base and was defective. My ship had nearly caught fire but I didn't let it. I ran even faster until I reached and just as the flame was there I took off, flying towards another planet. I had nothing more to do, now that no one else was there and that I had no more missions. I felt more free that I was done with everything. I hoped I wouldn't have to worry about saving more people from Sentinels and crash sites. As I was in the air, in my thoughts I was barely moving 5MPH. I shoved my foot onto a pedal and my ship boosted into space. Then without a message, ships started attacking me. I nearly crashed, then I boosted more and I was ready to fight back. I quickly installed a weapon and started shooting them. They were much faster than me, even though they had the same class ship as me, 'C'. As I twirled and did barrel rolls and more stunts, the ships kept shooting. Some missed, few hit. 98.9765% of the shots I fired hit. Then in a giant burst, the ships exploded and shot down crashing. I searched for nice planets. Then I discovered a Tropical Planet with the only storms as Hyperradioactive Supercells, which sounds like something that would give nightmares, but aren't that bad and actually help your jetpack. I flew towards it, and realized I had an ever greater mission. To build a base.
