Chapter Text
"Changkyun, it's time to come home."
Nearly everyone in the pack were in shock at the quick return of their human visitors, as for Alpha Changkyun he was in even more shock than all of the others put together.
Changkyun shifted back into his human form as did Araang and Aaron, his clothes withered from all the time in the wild, he watched his adopted human mother closely.
Kihyun, extended a warm welcoming hand, he wanted Changkyun to grab ahold of it. Much to Kihyun's surprise Changkyun backed away from his gesture "Changkyun? What's the matter? Don't you remember me?"
It took Changkyun a few seconds to snap out of his shock "No it's not that, it's just- you just- You came back too early." Kihyun softly chuckled "No, no we didn't the tour ended a week ago and just as we promised we'd come back to get you when it did. So a deals a deal, come home."
Changkyun softly sighed as he went back and forth with his thoughts, "You told us that you'd get everything done by the time we came back-" "But it's not easy!" Changkyun cut Kihyun off. "Yeah I said that but it sounded a lot easy than it actually turned out, I only just became a real wolf! I still need to save everybody! please give me a little more time!"
"No. I waited nearly a year to see you again and I wasn't even sure you'd want to come home don't make me pull you away."
"Wait-A YEAR?! I've been out here for nearly a year!?" Changkyun held his head in shock at this information should've been obvious "Yes, now no more distractions and let's go!" Kihyun forcefully grabbed a hold the disturbed boys arm and tried to pry him away but Changkyun pulled away from Kihyun's grip in fear.
There was a tense feeling in the air between the two, "Distractions? You think saving the Lost Clan is a distraction?" Kihyun hesitated to answer but he had enough "No," He pointed to Araang "She's the distraction."
Changkyun felt a disgusting chill up his spine "What do you mean hyung?" he tried to act, "What do I mean??? Don't deny it Changkyun I know you got all too familiar with that woman!" Kihyun showed him the video of the skating all those months ago. Changkyun lowered his head a bit but he didn't want to be ashamed of what they have now "You know you're right I won't deny it, I mated with her, we're mated for life!" Changkyun stood proudly to the now surprised hyung, in the back the others cursed in a whisper.
Kihyun looked to Araang who was staring at Changkyun shocked that he admitted to it, Kihyun growled as he marched to the innocent girl "You. You did this!" Aaron stood in front of Araang to protect her from the enraged human "If Changkyun hadn't met you then you would've taken him from me!-" "Hey back off human!!" Aaron puffed his chest to look more intimidating but Kihyun didn't care, he wasn't going to let Araang take his boy away.
Aaron wasn't afraid of Kihyun and he wasn't afraid to get physical, they could've gotten into a full fight but both sides held the two men back before someone gets hurt.
Changkyun watched in horror as his hyungs try to hold his beloved Kihyun back as Araang and some others hold Aaron back from attacking.
"No....stop....please..." he mumbled, he didn't know what to do, he couldn't take any sides, and he couldn't go against anyone, not the ones who raised him or the ones who he came to love.
'No no they can't do this, they'll-they'll kill each other. I know what I have to do. I'm sorry hyungs, Araang, Aaron, I'm sorry Kihyun.'
Changkyun ran up the the path to the Moon's Peak mountain (recall pic from last chapter.), a top a cliff.
"STOP!"
Changkyun shouted in the midst of the yelling thrashing around, they all just stopped and looked to the alpha.
"I came here to save both clans, and bring them to a land where they can all live in peace. I'm finishing this, I'm the only one who can. I'm sorry weather I stay or go should be my decision, I know what I must do."
With that he shifted back into a wolf and ran further up the cliff. Kihyun his heartbeat quickened as he saw the most precious person in his life leave. "No! No Changkyun!!" He chased after him, but Changkyun already at the top purposely make stones fall down causing a land fall.
"Look out!" Hyunwoo exclaimed running to push Kihyun out of the way from being struck by a massive rock falling down but a flash of white fur blurred him. It was Araang the wolf girl who Kihyun was blaming and going to attack, saved him by catching him and carried him on her back. "Changkyun, no Changkyun my love my baby boy no!" Kihyun cried reach his hand out to grab him but he was out of his reach.
Changkyun left them, he was going to do what he born to do.
Back with the pack they welcomed the human visitor back again, night fell upon them, Jooheon and Hoseok played with the pups as Hyunwoo and Minhyuk helped Aaron figure out what happened. Kihyun sat alone staring at the fire, his eyes look dead, he felt empty; Araang sympathized with the human as she cared for Changkyun just as much but in a different way.
She sat beside him, "I'm sorry things turned out the way they did, truly I am, and I'm sorry for taking him from-" "No I'm sorry, I know it wasn't your fault, it was wrong of me to blame you, I was just so focus on him that I was threatened by him loving someone other than us I- I know you're good for him, but I just can't let him go, I say it over and over that I'll let him do what he wants but I can't I just can't."
Araang couldn't blame him, he raised Changkyun since he was a baby and even if he grew faster than others he felt so attached to him "Kihyun, I understand, believe I wanted to be there with him when he'd go find them, and yet he pushed me away too, he wants to do this by himself and that's what's best." Kihyun looked to girl with glass eyes.
Araang looked up to the moon "At this point only Huin Neugdae can see him through."

Back with Changkyun he made his way up the base of the mountain, it was raining harshly, he slipped a couple of times on mud but it didn't waiver him.
As he made his way up both the wind and rain made him fall back down but each time he climbed back up, stronger and smarter.
Changkyun climbed the rocky mountain the rain hitting like bullets, and just as he thought it couldn't get much worse it was full blizzard on the top. His fur was frozen but he was determined to make it, he passed what seemed like figures, both human and wolf.
He was walking for what seemed like hours before he passed out, he fell into a dream of memories, until one memory of him transforming for the first time awoke him. Changkyun gasped harshly, "No I can do this! I can do this!" and he ran deeper in the storm before he entered the threshold.
(Imagine it cloudy. lol)
It was beautiful, he thought as he walked through this snowy paradise, Changkyun saw small snowflakes fall from the heavenly clouds, "Where am I? It looks like I'm in a different world." he passed more figures, only he could see them clearly being ice sculptures of both humans and wolves but coexisting as equals.
He walked to what seemed like the end and he saw before him the largest sculpture of Huin Neugdae, and he knew it was her due to the harmonic light that glowed from her.
The it struck him, "Of course, you've been protecting them this whole time, you've been waiting for me and I'm coming."
He descended the mountain he shivered but not from cold, he felt something so familiar much like his dreams before.
He heard the howl once again, from what seemed like forever.
He embraced the calming forest the Lost Clan had to offer, "I feel so at home."
"I've kept secrets all this time, much like you, but no more, no more must we hide."
He looked from both ways, "Show yourself Lost Clan, I've been wanting to meet you, I showing myself to you now it's your turn." Changkyun spoke loud enough for anyone near to hear.
He halted "Are you the last piece to my being in existence, I'm ready for you all." he howled deeply and he got a response, the howl he's heard all this time but in the form of Huin Neugdae.
He ran to it full speed not letting anything stop him, "I have never in my life felt more right! I've been torn between man and wolf!" Changkyun ran playfully beside the spirit.
"But it was for this very reason I was born!" he reached a tall cliff and a sea of trees but he knew what to do "I was always different, normal never applied to me, but this is the night and you can show me the way!"
He hoped from tree to tree before landing on another cliff.
"Lost Clan hear me, show yourself, I'm no longer afraid!" fallen trees laid before him like a maze, and he went through like flowing water, and he made it to a river "I'm here and I've so far! You all are the answers I've been waiting for all of my life!" step by step be walk across fallen trees.
As he walked along he came to a cave, "Come to me now," he walked past cave painting on the walls, depictions of man and wolf but mostly of Huin Neugdae and her story.
"Open your door, please don't make me wait!"
Changkyun saw the paintings come to life and he watched as they danced around him, he was filled with much joy and determination.
He charged forward heading to and opening on the ceiling revealing the light of the moon.
He howled calling them to him, and as he jumped out he looked up and saw many Lost Clan werewolves; young and old, big and small, all howling to him.
Then there in the top center of them all he saw Huin Neugdae appear, she began to howl and he shifted into someone he desperately wanted to see all his life. His mother.
She howled and looked to her son who had tears in his eyes "Welcome home my sweet darling~"
Changkyun laughed before shouting,
"I AM FOUND!"
All of the werewolves in unison howled together, the light of the moon beamed him into the air as soft moonlight swirled around him, his mother joined him "Step into this new power and grow into something new." He raised above him "You are the one we all been waiting for."
He smiled "All of my life."
His mother joined the howls as did Changkyun his eyes closed as he shifted into something new.
He had grown ten times larger and he gained two tails, his changed from a gold to a deep blue.
He was lowered down to top center, with new form he proclaimed himself as true alpha of the Lost Clan werewolves, he howled as he did.
A bright light from the moon flashed him into what seemed like a spirit world.
He explored the world and he saw vision of the past and those who have passed.
That included his parents who he spotted in the distance "Mom? dad?" they turned to him with warm smiles, they were in their wolf forms, he gasped and ran full speed to them.
"MOM! DAD!"
Changkyun collided with them and he was turned back into a child. From wolves they turned back into humans, they all fell to their knees, a mother and father holding their son for the first time in a long time.
"I wanted to meet you, for so long." Child Changkyun cried into their embrace, Mrs. Im hushed her child "There there~ we have always been with you, even though you couldn't see us." Changkyun sniffled at the comforting knowledge "Why did you have leave me?"
Mr. Im patted his son's soft hair "My precious son, we never wanted to leave you, the way things went were the only way. The night you were born your mother and I had vision, a vision of you bring the two clans together, but we would not be in the picture, Huin Neugdae assured us that you would be okay."
It made sense what they said but there was something that bugged him "Was I born for just this? I mean I care about the clans deeply, but was that all I was meant for?"
"Changkyun look at me, look at me." Mrs. Im lifted his face for him to see both of their faces "Yes your father and I were meant for each other but having you was decision, a decision of love, you embody more than the two clans, you embody our love." Changkyun embraced once again as he cried "We love you Changkyun, never forget that." Mr. Im added.
That stayed hugging for while before Mr and Mrs. Im noticed something "Changkyun there is someone who wants to talk to you." Mrs. Im called.
"Who?"
"Changkyun~" A familiar voice called to him.
Changkyun looked ahead and saw in her full glory, Huin Neugdae.
His parents assured him it would be okay for him to follow her, walking along with her he shifted back into an adult wolf.
It was silent before,
"Let's talk shall we?"
....
BUT ALL THAT ASIDE HOW'D YOU LIKE THE CHAPTER?????? NOTICE HOW CHANGKYUN'S PARENTS SPEAK PROPERLY (Like no "we'll" but "we will") ALSO HUIN NEUGDAE IS NOT HIS MOTHER, BUT SHE ACTED A DOORWAY FOR HER TO MAKE CONTACT TO HER SON THE PHYSICAL WORLD.
