White Wonder

Chapter Text

They all slowly awoke the following morning, ready for all of the secret santas to be revealed.  As they headed down to the lounge area and seeing the christmas tree all set up along with a bunch of presents all ranging from big to small gathered around the tree. They each took a seat near the tree and resisted the urge to peek into the gift labeled with their name on it until everybody was in the room. "It's time to wake up!" Mavis yelled into Drac and Ericka's room, waking them up.

"Five more minutes." Drac grumbled, turning onto his side and facing the farthest wall away from the door.

"But you've already overslept!" Mavis exclaimed, "everybody else is waiting."

"WE OVERSLEPT?!" Drac and Ericka both screeched, sitting up and scrambling out of bed. They snatched their clothes and zipped to the bathroom. Mavis knew they wouldn't be long and headed down the hallway and walked into the lounge room.

"Are they awake yet?" Dennis asked, looking at the little gift with his name written in cursive on it.

"They should be coming in a few minutes." Mavis replied, sitting down in a empty chair.

"Uh...excuse me." Griffin grumbled, "I'm sitting here." Mavis quickly stood up,

"oops," She apologized,  "sorry."

"You should be." Griffin mumbled.

"WE'RE HERE!" Drac and Ericka yelled, skidding to a stop next to the door. But miscalculating slightly, in which Drac rammed into the wall and knocking Ericka to the floor.

"Well that hurt." Ericka moaned, lifting her head and rubbing it.

"Oh honey are you alright?!" Drac asked, helping her off of the floor.

"I...I think so..." She replied, scanning herself for any visible wounds.

"You guys ok?" Mavis asked, peeking out of the room.

"We're good." Ericka reassured, walking into the room with Drac right behind her. They started secret santa as soon as they were all ready.

Mavis went first and had gotten Frank a portable generator. "I wasn't actually expecting this..." Frank commented, "but I can't wait to try it out!"

Wanda had gotten Griffin some cleaning wipes for his glasses, "How did you find these?" He asked, "I've been looking for some lately..." They had invited Van Helsing to join them, but he said he prefered to stay on the ship and said he'd mail his gift to them, and his secret santa would mail their gift over to him. They continued down the list of names, Wayne getting a pack of new tennis balls, Wanda getting a new dress. As they got further down the line, Ericka's anxiety got worse, as they got closer and closer to calling her name. Her fear overwhelming her excitement by a sickening amount. then it was Drac's turn to give his gift to her. Turns out he had bought her a necklace, but there was no center stone.

"Where's the center stone?" She asked, looking down at the beautiful necklace.

"Your ring is the stone." He said softly, calling the little spider off of her finger and to curl up perfectly onto the necklace. Exactly where the center stone would be.

"But, now I don't have a ring." She pointed out, looking down at her ringless hand.

" I knew you'd say that," He replied, reaching into a bag and pulling out a small box, "so I bought another one." He showed her the little diamond ring, sitting pristine inside of the box, shining in all of it's radiant glory. "Merry Christmas, my zing." He cooed, kissing her on the lips. She didn't even flinch. She just sat, frozen in shock. He waved a hand in front of her face, no response. "Uh...Ericka?" He asked, snapping his fingers.

"She's probably just in shock, dad." Mavis told him. He lightly grabbed her hand and slipped the ring onto her finger. The feeling of the cool metal rubbing against her skin brought her back into the present.

"Oh..uh..I don't know what to say.." She stuttered, looking at her hand.

"You don't have to say anything." He said, putting his arm around her and drawing her closer. She smiled and leaned against him.

"It's your turn to secret santa." Mavis said to Ericka, making all of Ericka's anxiety come rushing back like a tidal wave.

"Oh..uh..alright then." Her words scrambled in her mouth as she tried to say them, grabbing the bag with Drac's name on it. She reached in slowly and pulled out two tiny shoes, both light blue. Everybody was utterly confused. He took the two tiny shoes that fit in the palm of his hand and looked at them,

"Are my feet really that small?" He asked, peering at the shoes.

"No! They're not meant for you!" Ericka explained.

"Are they meant for Dennis?" Drac asked, looking at Dennis.

"I can't fit in those!" Dennis exclaimed. Drac looked at the shoes again in confusion.

"They aren't for anybody in this room!" Ericka said, "well, they are in the room, but they aren't visible."

"Are you referring to us?" Griffin asked smuggly, looking at Crystal who was sitting next to him.

"No! I didn't mean 'literally' invisible," Ericka sputtered, then sighing, "you guys can't take the hint."

"What do you mean hint?" Drac asked, "you mean these?" He lifted up the tiny shoes.

"What do you think?!" She sassed, rubbing her face with her hands. She looked up again and saw that he had put the shoes on his ears. "Ugh..." She groaned, "your an idiot."

"I think I know what's going on." Mavis said from the other side of the room.

"What?" Drac asked, turning around, completely oblivious to what was going on.

"I'm not going to tell you," Mavis replied, gesturing to Ericka, "she is."

"I..I uh.. I didn't think I was going to actually announce it." Ericka told them, starting to shiver.

"Are you cold?" Drac asked, taking the little shoes off and putting them down.

"No..Just nervous." She replied, crossing her arms as she started to shiver more.

"Well, just say whatever you have to say and get it over with." He said.

She did another sigh, "alright then," She sat up straight and blatantly said, " I'm pregnant." He seemed to freeze, just like how she did. "Do you understand now?" She asked, and he nodded. Everybody else in room seemed to fall silent, then they started to talk again out of nowhere. Drac was still sitting in shock. She poked his shoulder, nothing. Booped him on the nose, nothing. She snapped her fingers, still nothing. Everybody else started to leave as she was still trying to get Drac to blink.

"Just push him off of the couch." Mavis told her, walking out of the room. Ericka then gently pushed Drac off of the couch and he fell onto the floor.

"What was that for?!" He yelled, standing up, realizing that he was talking to Ericka still, "oh, uh, sorry."

"You were stunned." She said to him as he sat down again.

"Yeah I know," He mumbled, looking her in the eyes. She smiled and rested her head against his chest, "have you thought of any name yet?"

"I have, actually," She replied, "how do you feel about..."

"Trey."
