Chapter Text
“You mentioned that your siblings were at the healers, is everything okay?” Luz asked, bringing in two cups of tea, setting both of them down on the coffee table before throwing herself into the couch next to Amity.
“I mean I think so? I was coming home from work and as I was walking in, they were coming out. My mom yelled something about how,” she paused for a moment, sitting up straighter, sticking her nose up into the air, impersonating her mother. “‘Embarrassing it was to the Blight name that we have to take our two gift children to get unstuck by some healer.’” Luz almost choked on her drink.
“Unstuck?”
“They glued themselves together.” Amity said it so flatly, Luz couldn’t stop the laughter that poured out of her.
“Oh man, I can totally see that.” The witch just smiled at her over the brim of her cup.
“Yeah, but I’m kind of glad they did.”
“Really?”
“Mhmm. This is much better.” Maybe Amity should dye her hair red next time, that way she could match Luz’s face.
