Chapter Text
When Kazuma woke up that day he was confused as to not only who he was but where he was, he was in a cabin on a ship, that much is obvious, but what is he doing here?
By the time he got off the ship he knew what he had to do, he had to go to Great Britain and meet this Naruhodou Ryuunosuke. Thankfully Kazuma had the knowledge of English under his belt, with that knowledge he found a job. The job was demanding, often Kazuma found himself not wanting to continue, he was always drowsy during the job. He often found himself wanting to quit, thinking whatever is in Great Britain it can’t be worth this, but then his mind drifts back to this Naruhodou Ryuunosuke and everything becomes worth it.
Suddenly he looked forward to his job. The thought of collecting enough money in order to see this Ryuunosuke filled him with happiness.
Would Ryuunosuke be as happy to see him as he is to see Ryuunosuke? He could only hope.
Over and over Kazuma found himself thinking about Ryuunosuke, wondering what his relationship to him was. He was obviously someone important, he’s the only person he remembers after all. But just how important is he? Were they blood brothers? Were they best friends? Were they close siblings—is his last name Naruhodou? Were they… were they lovers? He doesn’t want to think about that, doesn’t want to think of the implications of that, if they were truly lovers were they happy together?
He knows and yet he doesn’t want to acknowledge it, the fact that the feelings he feels towards this Ryuunosuke are only but romantic, this isn’t something you feel towards a family member nor your best friend. Kazuma was riddled with anxiety at the thought of being in love with a man when he himself is a man, what would his friends and family think of this? What would society think of this? It’s wrong on so many levels and yet it’s the only thing that feels right to him.
Maybe it’s his amnesia messing with him, making him think things that should already be confirmed within his memory. But alas, his memory seems to be lost to the stars, the stars in which Kazuma hopes Ryuunosuke is gazing at, lost in thought and lost in memory, memories of them together.
Is Ryuunosuke worried about him? Wondering where he is right now?
.
.
.
Does Ryuunosuke feel the same way as him? Does he too harbor feelings for Kazuma?
Kazuma forces himself to not think about it, while thinking of them as lovers is hard to swallow thinking about him having an unrequited crush on a man is harder to digest.
Look at him now, making things harder to think about than necessary, it’s best to think about the good things in life than dwell on the bad. He finally has enough money to go to Great Britain.
Kazuma wonders what will greet him when he arrives, he’s scared and anxious, hoping that everything will go over smoothly.
Being on the ship to Great Britain brought back memories (sadly not memories of his life before he woke up) of when he first woke up in the cabin, he didn’t know much then other than the obvious, such as he was in a cabin. Although those thoughts in his head were ever persistent, telling him he needs to go to Great Britain and a name, Kazuma doesn’t know who this name belongs to but he does know that they’re important to him, and he hopes he holds the same weight in the other person's heart.
Shortly after arriving in Great Britain he was arrested for not having his papers, and he was hauled right to Scotland Yard and came face to face with that of the Lord Chief of Justice himself, Mael Stronghart.
Now the second weapon Kazuma has under his belt comes to play, his knowledge of law, impressed by the show of knowledge Stronghart decided to have him work under Barok Van Zieks in order to become a prosecutor. Kazuma couldn’t be more relieved with the fact he knew english and he knew British law.
The three months in which he’s been under Barok Van Zieks has been better than expected, the man is very precise in the justice he sets forth to do. Although there have been attacks targeted towards him, Kazuma couldn’t be more happy that he knew how to fight with a sword. He’s in Great Britain now and yet, what he needs to do here is not yet an answered question. Not to mention Naruhodou Ryuunosuke—who despite Kazuma not knowing him, still grounded him and gave him the courage to work to get to Great Britain—still showed up nowhere, no matter where or how hard Kazuma tried searching for him.
Will he ever find Ryuunosuke?
Only the stars in the sky, the stars in which his memory was lost to, may answer this question, the question of what he needs to do here and who exactly he is—Naruhodou Ryuunosuke, I will find you, whoever you are, it’s a promise.
