Kissing Lan WangJi had quickly become Wei WuXian's favourite thing to do. His Lan Zhan waking him up with kisses. Wei WuXian kissing the nape of Lan WangJi's neck while hugging his boyfriend from behind as Lan WangJi cooked breakfast for them. Kissing while they were getting dressed, lazily and unworried, making Wei WuXian happily giggle, and Lan WangJi's golden eyes spark brightly.
His Lan Zhan. His. How could a single word make his heartbeat rapidly flutter and his muscles jelly? How could a single person make him this happy?
"Lan Zhan! Stop being cute!" Wei WuXian petulantly pouted, crossing his arms over his chest. "My face is hurting over smiling so much!!" He covered his cheeks to protect himself from the pain.
Lan WangJi snorted, his hands holding his boyfriend's cheeks. "Mn. I am sorry for being cute. Will take responsibilities." With amusement dancing in his eyes. "Do kisses qualify as an adequate retribution?"
"Lan Zhan!! You menace!!" Even though Wei WuXian playfully hit Lan WangJi's shoulder, his smile painfully tugged his lips once more.
Sweetly, Lan WangJi placed a quick kiss and smiled, a beautiful and perfect smile, exposing his rare dimples, and how could Wei WuXian's heart handle his boyfriend's beauty.
Although both of them wanted to stay in each other's arms the rest of the day, they had a schedule to follow and a video to film. QnA's were simple to film, and it was always a wonderful opportunity to interact with their fans. However, Wei WuXian had an idea to film this one.
"Lan Zhan!" He called as his boyfriend set up their filming studio. "I have an idea!"
"Yes?"
"How about we do the QnA while you do my make-up?"
Lan WangJi snapped his head in Wei WuXian's direction, staring like a deer caught in headlights. "You sure?"
"Of course! We have had this idea on our to-do list for so long! Why not?" Wei WuXian smiled cheekily as his hands circled Lan Wangji's waist. "And I also wanted for you to do my make up! If you wanted, of course!"
"I do, but..." His eyes trailed over the beauty station, hesitantly and unsurely.
"I will help you, my love, of course!" A quick kiss on the nose. "I am here too."
"Mn. I am glad to have Wei Ying in my life. Always have and always will." "Lan Zhan!! You have to warn me before saying things like that!! My heart, Lan Zhan!! Let's film, let's go!"
They had agreed to wait a couple of months before announcing they were dating, trying to enjoy this time for them and their newfound relationship. However, hiding their relationship was tough because only a blind person could ignore how their dynamic had shifted. The innocent touches, the slightly heated looks and their bright radiant smiles. Lan Zhan would have a hard time editing this video.
It got especially heated when Lan WangJi applied lipgloss, and the room turned a few degrees hotter.
As soon as the cameras turn off, Lan WangJi cradle Wei Wuxian's face. "You shouldn't wear lipgloss in the next couple of months."
Wei Wuxian stared through his eyelashes, biting his lower lip. "Why? Do I look too irresistible? Am I testing the Lan self-control and restrained?"
Last night, they had been satisfied with simple hand jobs and hadn't gone further. Lan Wangji moved his thumb and released Wei Wuxian's lower lip. "Yes, you are."
"Mn... so what are you going to do to your Wei Ying?"
"Things and he will enjoy it." His voice got deeper, huskier. His eyes fixed on Wei Wuxian's lips.
"Very confident in your abilities, my love. Isn't your ego a bit high?" Wei Wuxian teased, his head crooked as he jumped, his legs around Lan Wangji's waist.
"I am not confident. I am just aware of myself." Lan Wangji answered as they exited their studio.
"Lan Zhan!!" Wei Wuxian hid his face on the crock of his boyfriend's neck his blush was very hot on his cheeks, completely speechless and nervous. "Lan Zhan! I still have my make-up on."
"Leave it. Don't worry. I will take it off later."
"So bossy!"
"You love it."
"Maybe..." Lan Wangji tightened the hold of his tights. "Fine, fine. Don't be mad. I love everything about you!"
"Glad you know it."
"How insufferable, my Lan Zhan! We still have a video to edit!" Lan Wangji stopped in his tracks, and Wei Wuxian lifted his head to stare at his boyfriend's eyes.
"We can delay it a couple of hours." His ears were adorably crimson. "Hmhm, Lan-responsibilities-come-first-Zhan."
"Wei Ying is my priority now."
"Lan Zhan!!" It sufficed to say they did make most of those two hours.

Wei WuXian (smiling at the camera): Hello, guys! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! We are back with a new video! (turns to Lan WangJi) Lan Zhan!! It's your first video starting next to me! (claps hands happily)
Lan WangJi (staring with heart eyes): Mn, a whole new experience.
Wei WuXian (pouting): Don't tease me! So mean! (looking at the camera again) So, today we had planned a QnA, but I had the idea to spicy things up, and do the QnA while Lan Zhan does my make-up! You guys have asked for it for years, so where it is! (clap sound)
Lan WangJi (tries to run off camera)
Wei WuXian (grabs his arm): Lan Zhan!!
(cut)
(Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi now sit sideways to the camera. Wei WuXian holds the phone, and Lan WangJi looks nervous.)
Wei WuXian: I have the questions (waves phone). Lan Zhan, begin!
Lan WangJi (shows a product): First, I will apply primer. (starts rubbing the primer gently into Wei WuXian's face).
Wei WuXian: "The first question is, "what type of videos does Lan Zhan want to make?"
Lan WangJi (still gently rubbing the primer): " Mn. I have some ideas, but I don't want to spoil my surprises just yet. I can say that there are cooking videos and vlogs on my list."
Wei WuXian: "Uhuh, cooking videos! That's a good idea, Lan Zhan!" (glances at the camera) "I know some of his ideas, but I still want to be surprised!"
Lan WangJi (grabbed his chin and secure his head): "Stop moving. How am I supposed to apply make-up if you are moving around."
Wei WuXian (blushing): "Fine, fine! I am going to be good and try to sit still."
Lan WangJi: "Empahsis on trying."
Wei WuXian: "Lan Zhan!"
(cut)
Wei WuXian: "With all my face correctly primed, what is next, Lan Zhan?"
Lan WangJi: "Foundation."
Wei WuXian: "Very good! I told you were going to ace this video. Next question: did you guys ever think about creating secondary channels individuals?"
Lan WangJi: "Never. I only started YouTube because of Wei Ying. It was pointless to do an individual channel."
Wei WuXian: "Aww, Lan Zhan!! I feel the same!! It would never make sense to do an individual channel. Spicybunnies needs the Bunny."
Lan WangJi (smiles, content)

Lan WangJi: "Next is concealer (shows product). I will apply on the needed zones (pointing with his fingers around Wei WuXian's face)."
Wei WuXian: "Wow, Lan Zhan, like a true professional. Maybe I will get lazy and ask you to always do my make-up."
Lan WangJi: "Mn, if Wei Ying wants."
Wei WuXian: "Lan Zhan!! You are not supposed to say yes!! (blushes) Next question: did you guys always agree on everything, or do you guys fight a lot?"
Lan WangJi: "Do we fight?"
Wei WuXian: "Well, we don't agree on everything, that's for sure. But I think we never really get in fights. We tease each other a lot, and we debate on things."
Lan WangJi: "Mn, agree. Next question, while I chose which palette I want to use."
Wei WuXian: "What do you guys like the most about each other? Lan Zhan's patient with me for sure. I know I am not an easy person."
Lan WangJi (shows palette to the camera and starts applying the eyeshadows): "Wei Ying is never a bother. Don't be an idiot."
Wei WuXian: "Oh wow, now I am an idiot? I see how it is."
Lan WangJi (snorts): " Only when he says dumb things... What I like the most about Wei Ying is his brain."
Wei WuXian (gasps): "Lan Zhan, are you confessing you are a zombie? (Lan WangJi hits his head with a brush) I was joking! Why so violent??"
Lan WangJi (looks directly at the camera): " Wei Ying is a type of person who is very confident until someone tries to compliment him. (stares at Wei Ying) Am I wrong?"
Wei Wuxian (looks down): "..."
Lan WangJi: "As I was saying, Wei Ying has a very creative mind, and all his ideas are innovative, either when it comes to fashion or for our videos."
Wei WuXian (smiling shyly): If your shirt wasn't white, I would hug you right now, Lan Zhan..."
Lan WangJi (ears red): "Later."

Wei WuXian (showing off his eye look): "Wow, Lan Zhan! This looks very good! Impressed."
Lan WangJi (looking smug): "Now blush."
Wei WuXian: "Will you do a house reveal? Yes, we will very soon, probably within this month. For a long time, we wanted to do a house tour, but we have lots of family photos and blurring the photos wasn't an option to us."
Lan WangJi: "Because the photos do make our house too."
Wei WuXian: "But with the face reveal, we can show them! So be on the lookout for that!"
(cut)
Wei WuXian: "And the last step is..."
Lan WangJi: "Lipstick."
Wei WuXian: "That's lipgloss, Lan Zhan."
Lan WangJi: "Oh."
Wei WuXian (laughs): "Before you apply it, let me read the final question. Your college years are almost coming to an end, what do you guys envision for the future?"
Lan WangJi (silent for a moment)
Wei WuXian: "I can answer while you think. When we started YouTube, I didn't want Lan Zhan's family thinking that I was hindering in any way his future, and that's one of the reasons why we worked twice as hard to maintain our channel and school life."
Lan WangJi: "Wei Ying."
Wei WuXian: "What? It's the truth!"
Lan WangJi (shakes his head and grabs Wei WuXian head to apply the lipgloss): "What Wei Ying said is true, but not the whole truth. After our channel took off, I started to look at it as a full-time job for the future. Yes, we still want to finish our degrees. So, to answer your question, I envisioned myself in the future making videos with Wei Ying."
(They stare at each other, and it is clear they are a bit breathless. Lan WangJi is looking at Wei WuXian's lips)
(cut)
Wei WuXian (smiling): "And we have reached the end of the video! I believe Lan WangJi did an exceptional job with this eye look. What do you guys think? Comment down below!"
Lan WangJi: "Don't forget to subscribe and like this video. We will see you in the next video."
Wei WuXian (waving): "Bye!!!"

Wei WuXian was unusually quiet as the couple prepared their dinner together. Lan WangJi stole worried looks at his boyfriend here and there, but when their eyes met, Wei WuXian always threw a flirty smile. However, the silence continued. Despite wracking his brain for a possible answer, Lan WangJi couldn't find one.
As his boyfriend setting the table, Lan WangJi had had enough, and he trapped Wei WuXian between the table and his body.
"What is wrong?"
Startled, Wei WuXian looked up. "What?"
With a sigh, Lan WangJi circled his arms around Wei WuXian's waist, and he continued to stare, waiting for a reply.
"I know we agreed to wait to announce our relationship to our audience. But what about our friends? I want to tell them, especially Shijie! I can't lie to Shijie!" Wei WuXian's voice was shyly hushed, and Lan WangJi didn't like it at all.
"Do you want to tell them after dinner? We can video chat them all, even doing a Zoom meeting." He kissed his boyfriend's forehead gently.
"Yes, please! I want all of them to know!" Wei WuXian threw his arms around Lan WangJi's neck, radiantly smiling at him.
"Then, text them what time they can tonight while I bring dinner to the table."
Their dinner was halfway done when their friends all answer back. Nie HuaiSang even replied with a Zoom meeting link as if he guessed their conversation before.
Nervously and anxiously excited, they turned on their computer and set it in a way both Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian visible for the camera. Surprisingly, Nie HuaiSang and Jiang Cheng were already there, arguing over something.
Wei WuXian: "Hi, guys!"
Nie HuaiSang (shaking his fan): "Hi! Wen Qing texted me. She and Wen Ning are just washing the dishes."
Jiang Cheng (checking his phone): "Peacock is setting his computer. JieJie is putting A-Ling to sleep."
Next to enter was Lan XiChen, with his kind smile and greeted everybody.
Lan WangJi: "Brother."
Lan XiChen: "A-Zhan, you seem in high spirits."
Lan WangJi's ears turned red, and Wei WuXian held his hand under the table.
Before anyone could further comment, both Wen and Jin families appeared.
Jiang YanLi: "Wow, we were last. We are so sorry."
Wei WuXian: "Shijie, don't apologise! It's okay! And Wen Ning! How are your exams!"
Wen Ning: "I had my last one today, finally free!"
Nie HuaiSang: "Then we have to gather the family again for dinner!"
Wen Qing: "Yes, we will discuss dates later. Wei WuXian, you asked for this call. You better have a good reason why you wanted us all here."
With a swift movement, he cleaned his sweaty hands on the trousers and then Wei WuXian turned his face to Lan WangJi, with a smile. "We wanted to announce that we are dating."
Everybody yelled at the same, and all Lan WangJi could gather was "When?", "How?" and "Who confessed first?"
Jiang YanLi: "Congratulations! I am so happy for both of you!"
Lan XiChen: "Congratulations! I will be expecting your presence at our regular lunches with our uncle, Wei WuXian."
Jiang Cheng: "I guess it was about time. Congratulations, I guess."
Nie HuaiSang: "Tell details! When did this happen?"
Lan WangJi: "Yesterday. Wei Ying felt terrible about hiding any longer."
Jin ZiXuan: "Who confessed?"
Wen Qing: "Wow, Jin ZiXuan, so curious. Are you trying to overthrow Nie HuaiSang as our new gossiper?"
(General laughter)
Nie HuaiSang: "He lacks my charm."
Lan WangJi: "Wei Ying kissed me and confessed first."
All Hell broke loose with claps and shouts, making Wei WuXian all blushy and embarrassed, and he hid his face against Lan WangJi's chest.
Jiang Cheng (pinching the bridge of his nose): "Oh, god. No more details, please. I don't want to hear about my brother's love life."
Wen Ning: "So... when is the wedding?"
Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian stared at each other and answered at the same time. "Soon." "Soon."
After that, everything settled down around the couple into a routine of love and kisses, and Wei WuXian couldn't be happier. On the following Saturday, Lan WangJi released his first video on SpicyBunnies. It was a cooking video with a step-by-step process of one of his mother's recipes that she always did to cheer up the Lan brothers. A beautiful tribute.
On the next family Lan lunch, Wei WuXian was formally by Lan QiRen himself. If Wei WuXian was nervous before, now his anxiety skyrocketed over the roof. He even stuttered while greeting Lan WangJi's uncle. However, his fears were utterly unfounded, and the four of them had a pleasant night. At the end of the dinner, when Wei WuXian was very relaxed and at ease, he asked Lan QiRen how he so smoothly accepted his precious nephew dating Wei WuXian.
"It was a question of time. So I have years of mental preparation. I am just surprised how long it took."
After an initial shock that left Wei WuXian blinking, his laugh echoed on the restaurant.
Their fans had noticed the noticeable change in their dynamic, and so no one was surprised when a video named "A Day in Our Life (Our One Month Anniversary) - Lan Zhan's Vlogs #1" no one was surprised, but the Internet still broke. It was a sweet video of the couple retelling how they got together and dealing with their feelings, not knowing if the other was also in love while showing a day in their lives as a couple for the first time on camera. The love for them only rapidly grown as their following.
Their Youtuber's friends also received attention since Nie HuaiSang and Jiang YanLi did a reaction video on their video.
Nie HuaiSang's video featured Jiang Cheng, and they bickered the entire video.
(Nie HuaiSang: "They are so cute together! Jiang Cheng, look at them!"
Jiang Cheng: "I am going to demand compensation for the permanent eye damage."
Nie HuaiSang: "You do know they are our friends. You remember the last dinner toge-"
Jiang Cheng: "Don't you dare mention that dinner! I am still trying to erase the image."
Nie HuaiSang (snorts): "You may be complaining at any opportunity, but deep down you are happy for them."
Jiang Cheng: "I was just tired of the unbearable pinning."
Nie HuaiSang: "Can't argue with that.")
In short, Twitter was on fire with the memes from that video, and fans demanded more NieJiang content. Jiang YanLi's reaction video was Jiang YanLi fussing over how cute and happy she was for her brother, even shedding some happy tears. Her husband, on the other hand, was in the background with his trademark annoyed face, clearly still sulking he lost the bet. This is how wangxian discovered the bet. However, it wasn't the peacock's face that made the video go viral, but their son.
(Jin Ling: "Mama, what are you watching?
Jiang YanLi: "Oh, your uncle Wei and uncle WangJi official one-month anniversary."
Jin Ling: "Oh... of them dating, Mama?"
Jiang YanLi: "Yes, baby."
Jin Ling: "Mama, one-month anniversary? Does that mean they only have been for a month? It doesn't make sense!"
Jin ZiXuan: "Why not, A-Ling?"
Jin Ling: "I thought they always have been together! They were touchy-touchy like Mama and Papa. What the fuck!"
Jiang YanLi: "A-Ling!"
Jin ZiXuan: "Who the fuck taught to speak like that?!")
The upcoming family dinner was an interesting pointing fingers event of who actually taught Jin Ling cuss words.
