Connie blinked at Salty, processing it. "That's the hard part..?"
Salty: ".Yeah. Did you- Not hear what I said?"
Connie stared. Then chuckled. A bit naive, if you will. "I'm pretty sure I can tell Itsumi, right now, without a sweat. I mean, if we're at where she is right now I would, but-"
Itsumi sat next to Salty, holding a grilled cheese sandwich.
Itsumi: "You said something?"
Connie:
Connie went silent, Salty shrugged. "Oh hey, Itsumi." Itsumi waved. This was awkward for Connie; why was Itsumi here again? Wasn't she at her room approximately 20 minutes ago?
Connie: "Uhh, hey, sis! Siince..when were you here?"
Itsumi: "Oh, I was hungry and wanted to eat outside. And I saw that you both were sitting here already."
Connie:
Itsumi: "Why the attitude, Connor?"
Connie looked at Itsumi weird. Itsumi took a bite of her food. Salty would mutter, "Don't sweat it kid."
Itsumi confusedly turned to Salty, having heard perfectly what they said.. "Eh?"
Salty shrugged, "That was for, uh.."
Itsumi: "Connor?"
Salty:
Salty: "Yeah-"
Connie seemed to be very uncomfortable. 'Oh.. so that's what Salty meant by "the hard part."'
Itsumi took a piece off her food. "Want a bite?" Connie nodded, and Itsumi slid the piece across. Connie took the piece and ate it.
Itsumi took another bite of her own food, before looking up and looking at Connie's face. Cramped, unsure, and just downright odd. Obviously, she expressed concern.
Itsumi: "Is something wrong?"
Connie shook her head. "It's nothing, Itsumi. Nothing at all."
Itsumi: "Is there anything specific you want to tell me..?"
Connie went silent.
She stared at Salty. Their face read; 'My hands are tied, you're on your own.' They shrugged.
Connie: "So... That thing I went to talk to Salty about?"
Itsumi: "Yeah?"
Connie: "Well... about that.."
Connie: "...I- I uhm, I am- I'm, I-"
Salty sensed that Connie was going to have a lot of trouble talking about it herself. "Your sister's trans, Itsumi."
Itsumi: "...Sister? What sister?"
They pointed at Connie, who was nodding like a fucking idiot. She seemed to be flustered and embarrassed.
Itsumi turned to Connie, "Is this true, Connor?"
Connie: "..Y-Yeah...The name is C-Connie, if you don't mind..?"
Itsumi: "Alright, C-Connie-"
Connie: "Connie."
Itsumi: "Right, Connie."
Itsumi took another bite out of her food. "..So, Connie, you want another piece?"
Connie seemed to be relieved. This had gone well. "Sure."
The 2nd piece was better than the first.
After Itsumi left, Connie proceeded to tease Salty about the event.
Connie: "See, I told you I could do it without a sweat!"
Salty: "Chill, your face was red and you were stuttering during that conversation."
