Chapter Text
Oikawa was pacing around his room, the sound of muffled music playing as his phone was probably lost somewhere in his blankets. He was currently sporting an extremely messy looking outfit that he found online but clearly, it didn’t work. Constantly looking into the mirror to check if the outfit was about as horrendous as he last remembers, hoping one time it’ll magically look better.
What was I even thinking? Listening to some random skinny girl who layers 501 jackets. Of course, it wouldn’t look good on me.
With an unnecessarily loud huff, he starts removing his clothes going back to put on one of his regular outfits, opting for some black jeans, turtleneck and blazer.
Iwa-chan and I hang out all the time, calm down. It’s just a date. Staring at himself in the mirror, doing some questionable breathing exercises in a feeble attempt to relax. After realising that these were not going to work he decided to move to the living room and sit near the door. Paying way too much attention to what coloured car drove past his house.
When he saw Iwa arrive he decided to run out the door to meet him halfway, nerves and feelings of overwhelming joy becoming more evident every step he took towards Iwaizumi. Soon as they were nearing each other Oikawa put his arms out and wrapped them around Iwa, swaying back and forth; savouring the feeling of being close to someone.
Slowly releasing from the embrace, eyes started to wander all over each other. Oikawa loved how Iwa would almost always wear hoodies under his jackets, something that he’d normally complain about. Such a simple sense of style, but he looks gorgeous in it. No matter what Hajime wore it would always be perfect for Tooru.
Rushing to the car Oikawa went straight to the driver's seat to open it up for Iwa, “Ladies first, Iwa-chan” no matter how annoying Oikawa’s antics could get Iwa would always secretly hold them close to his heart.
“Thanks, shitty-kawa”, a loud gasp could be heard from miles away. Iwa didn’t even need to look at his date to be able to tell his hand was on his heart, mouth dropped and furrowed eyebrows. Tooru Oikawa, always one to over exaggerate in the cutest ways known to mankind.
Prancing his way into the passenger seat, Oikawa was overjoyed. A smile never leaving his face, staring at the man he’s known for more years than he can count on one hand. “You do know you have to buckle your seatbelt before we leave right?”
Mortified. That’s one way to put it, cheeks filling up with red and a hand rushing to buckle up the seat belt. “Of course I know that. I was just staring at you, you know you should be thankful a pretty boy like me is even paying attention to you.” A sigh bouncing off the walls of the car as Oikawa folds his arms, sliding deeper into his seat and staring out the window.
Humming along with the radio, occasional attempts to sing along too but most of the time it ends up in mumbles. It was now Iwa’s turn to be blushing, but not out of embarrassment, instead, it was awe. He’d never say this out loud but he did agree with Oikawa, he is a pretty boy.
Hajime Iwazumi’s pretty boy.
Honestly, Oikawa had no idea where they were going, but he didn’t care. As long as he was with Iwa that’s all he could ever ask for.
