Chapter Text
It took about a month after the ritual for Stiles to start to feel better. It had taken a lot out of him and his spark to send the other Stiles back, and Derek has started to worry. Looking over at him, he smiled when he saw him reading through a book.
“You’re so perfect,” Derek murmured lovingly, smiling at his husband.
Stiles blushed, but he bashfully looked down, fiddling with his hands. “Thanks, but I’m not...” he mumbled. “I’m a lot to deal with...”
“I never deal with you,” Derek corrected, gently lifting his chin so he could look into his eyes. “I am with you. Through everything.”
Stiles’ eyes widened a little, his throat closing up with emotion. “Y-you really mean it..?”
“I do.” Derek smiled, nodding before gently, ever so slowly, placing a sweet and loving kiss onto Stiles’ lips.
Stiles sighed into the kiss, letting Derek lead him over to the bed. He wasn’t surprised when he pushed him down, landing in the middle of his bed. Even after being married and mated to him for as long as they had been, Derek knew that Stiles still dealt with the problems caused by the Nogitsune. Stiles lifted himself onto his elbows.
“Is this your way of telling me that I need to go to sleep?” Stiles snarked, smirking up at his mate.
“Yes, we have the full moon tonight, and you know how excited the betas get when the moon gets high.”
Derek climbed into the bed with him, set an alarm on his phone for just before sunset, and pulled Stiles closer to him.
“You want to call them puppies as I do,” Stiles said, trying to stifle the yawn that spread across his face as he snuggled down closer.
“It’s so tempting, but they are my Betas. Go to sleep, Stiles, you have had a rough few months.”

Stiles smiled as he looked out over the yard, Shadow in his lap. The pack was wrestling in their wolf forms, the moon directly above them. Stiles smiled, looking around as the wards told him that someone had arrived. He nodded to Chris when he stepped onto the porch.
“Everything is back to normal, it seems,” The older man said as he came to sit next to Stiles.
“It is. As much as the mystery of sending someone through a universe was, I am kind of happy to stick to the monster of the week and negotiating from now on,” Stiles said, scratching at Shadow’s head.
“I know what you mean. I might complain about being surrounded by a bunch of people young enough to be my children, but I missed being a part of the pack while he was here. Seeing how Peter reacted to his fear hurt, and I am a little bit happy that he is gone now,” Chris said, reaching over to scratch behind Shadow’s ears.
“You and me both. I hate a pouty Peter.”
They both chuckled. Shadow yipped, getting their attention. They both turned in time to see that they had gotten the attention of the entire pack. Peter and Derek darted over first, leaving the betas to scramble over themselves.
“Calm down, Peter, it’s not like we are going anywhere,” Chris said, pressing his forehead against the top of the wolf’s head.
“Yeah, Sourwolf. You are acting like we are going to disappear on you,” Stiles said, lifting a hand to scratch behind Derek’s ear.
The Alpha wolf closed his eyes, letting out a soft rumble of happiness at the attention. Chris watched them, smiling at the instant change in the younger man. This was the biggest reason why he didn’t mind being around the pack, they were just a giant family.

Alternate Stiles looked out over the pack. He had come back to his own universe and immediately started going through with all the changes that needed to be made. His first step had been to talk to Derek. They had sorted out their relationship, especially after Stiles had explained that he knew all about mates. Then, they had set out to help Peter. Derek talked to his uncle, trying to help him ease the raw feeling of the destroyed pack bonds that he still felt from the death of their family, while Stiles took on the task of Chris Argent.
With the acknowledgment of the bond between Chris and Peter, came to complication of the rest of the Argents. Gerard was quickly dispatched after he made the mistake of trying to use his son to lure in the pack.
“What are you thinking about over here, my love?” Derek asked, stepping behind him.
He wrapped an arm around his waist, holding him tight against his chest.
“Just thinking about my little trip through the universes. It was a jar and I hated it, but I’m kind of glad that it happened. It brought us here, to this moment,” Stiles whispered.
Derek pressed a kiss to the back of his head, looking out over the pack. Peter was curled up on Chris’ feet as Chris explained to Allison about something hunting-related. Scott sat behind Allison, as though he was keeping watch. The other betas were wrestling each other, snarling and nipping as they ran around the yard.
“I’m glad that you were able to fix this pack. I feel better,” Derek whispered, pressing another kiss against the back of his head.
Stiles turned and smiled, watching him walk down the stairs to the yard. He wasn’t surprised at all when his mate transformed into his black wolf and ran off to join the betas. It was at that moment that he realized how happy he was.
Looking up at the moon, he smiled.
“Thank you,” He whispered.
He wasn’t sure who he was offering the sentiment to, but he knew that, somewhere in the universe, the person who was responsible would hear it. With his happiness set and his thanks given, he walked down the steps and into the yard to join the rest of his pack.
