Sunshine Lips and Fiery Eyes

Chapter 10: Flames Glowing Bright As The Sun

Summary:

They both settled down, Bakugou using Kirishima’s arm as a cushion. They laid there for a minute, these two kids dressed up in suits pretending they were young adults.

The stars were almost too overwhelming, as he felt himself almost start to cry. He couldn’t look up at them as usual, as he had his own star to admire. And that star in particular was about to make him feel like a damn meteor shower.

Kirishima was a terrible goddamn liar. He had noticed him acting differently, ever since Izuku and Todoroki had come over that one time for dinner. He hadn’t let himself think about it, knowing he would make himself sad if he was wrong. But somehow, today, he just knew.

He felt Kirishima’s shaky arm leave him with a kiss, and Bakugou braced himself. Oh did he brace himself.

Chapter Text

The sounds of the city were bordering on irritating, how loud and unnecessary it all was. However, if anything could mend his irritation, it was this redhead swinging their arms like they were goddamn teenagers.

“Don’t you think we’re a little old for this?” He flicked his gaze to their hands.

“Nope!” Eijiro laughed that stupidly adorable laugh of his and Bakugou couldn’t remember what he was mad about in the first place.

They were walking to the store together, getting groceries for the week before it began again. He took his sweet time to simply stare at the embodiment of love next to him, already dazed at the sight of the sunshine gleaming through his loose red locks. He had them hidden in a baseball cap, but nothing could hide the absolute radiance that shined out of his boyfriend.

“Are-are you...excuse me? Sir, are you Red Riot?” a voice squeaked behind them. He felt himself smile. Eijiro loved talking to his kid fans. Bakugou, on the other hand, would get annoyed at the attention. And he got stopped more than a lot, both because he worked with Endeavor and he was close to branching the higher spots on the ranks.

He was super proud of his boyfriend. Even though he never liked to talk about it, Red Riot wasn’t that far behind Dynamight in the ranks. People adored him, as they obviously fucking should. He was amazing in combat, compassionate in rescue, and just the absolute best with his fans. Especially the younger ones.

“Hey, little man! How can I help you?” And the goddamn sunshine bent down to meet his level, a wide grin on his handsome face.

Bakugou couldn't help but chuckle, feeling himself somehow grow even more smitten.

“Hi Mr. Red Riot! You’re my fave-favorite hero! I w-watch your fights o-online all the time!” The kid was an absolute, adorable stuttering mess. He wanted to say “ Same, kid ”, as was the Eijiro effect.

“Wow, that’s awesome that I have the support from a hero like you!” he beamed, flattered by the praise. The kid let out a small gasp at his words.

“No-no. I’m no hero! You’re the cool hero, Mr. Red Riot!” The kid was getting less nervous by the second and it had everything to do with Eijiro’s calming aura.

“Hey, you’re already a hero in my eyes, little man!” He reached over to give his hair a shake and the kid all but shook with excitement.

“Is the hero Dynamight your best friend? He’s a really cool hero, too!” Bakugou suddenly liked the kid a whole lot more, but wanted to laugh at the assumption of “best friend”. The media speculated at first, especially after they fully debuted after graduation. He remembers an interview that left him particularly smug.

“So, Dynamight! You’re not only popular in the young hero ranks, you’re also popular with the ladies! Is there any special girl we should know about?” The overly excited, overly smiley, overly fake newscaster had asked. Endeavor had warned him about keeping relationships out of hero work, but he could give two shits about what that loser thought.

“Is that really your question?” He smirked, already feeling the gears turning in his head.

“Of course! Our young viewers want to know if they have a chance with the new hero, Dynamight!”

“Oh, they don’t.”

“Oh! So you are off the market! How groundbreaking!”

“Yeah, my special someone definitely knows how to break the ground.” He smirked.

“Any hints for our viewers, Dynamight?”

“Alright, I’ll humor you.” His smirk grew that much more wicked. He wanted the world to know that he was “off the market” but he hadn’t talked about this with Eijiro yet, so he hoped just this would get people off his damn back.

He took a glance back at Eijiro, and he was shaking his head with a bright smile, the gesture that was always met with a disapproving voicing of “ Katsuki ”. Goddamn overly handsome hero.

“He’s handsome.” He smiled, adoration taking the place of cockiness.

The interviewer practically crapped her pants.

Speculation came after that, but the tabloids definitely took his “groundbreaking” comment and ran with it.  He was not surprised, by the poking and prodding that the media did, that they had managed to guess it right. But they both never confirmed or denied.

“He’s definitely my best friend! But want me to tell you a secret?” Eijiro bent forward to whisper in his ear. He was probably going to tell him that he was standing right there. How fucking adorable. The kid let out a gasp as Kirishima retreated and he led a finger to his lips to shush him.

“Hi Mr. Dynamight!” The kid was now extremely excited, practically bouncing.

He winced, “Just Dynamight, kid.”

“Do you love Mr. Red Riot a lot?” Bakugou shot Eijiro a questioning look, but all he got in response was an indifferent shrug.

“Heck yeah I do, kid.” He smirked.

“Wow! That’s really good then!” Bakugou laughed at the way he began to jump, smile large and shining.

“Yeah, I guess so.” He followed Eijiro’s lead and bent down to ruffle his hair.

“Come on now. I’m sure these two heros are busy. You shouldn’t bother them anymore.” The kid’s mom came to retrieve him and he ran off with a final wave to Eijiro.

“What the hell did you tell him?” Bakugou asked as they began to walk hand in hand once more.

“Oh nothing.” He tried his best to sound nonchalant, but there was a hint in his voice that it was definitely something.

They were now back home, and Bakugou had begun to cook them lunch. He had to admit, he loved taking care of his mess of a boyfriend. Even though he left all his goddamn clothes on the floor, let water trickle out of the bathroom every time he showered, left hair absolutely everywhere, couldn’t fold clothes for the life of him, and was a mess in the kitchen, he loved being able to pick up after him. It was just something so comforting, knowing that even though they’re all grown up, that deep down he’s still his same Eijiro.

He felt strong arms wrap around his waist, a warm kiss placed on his shoulder. “Smells awesome, handsome.”

He smelled like strawberries and Kirishima, full of love and all things beautiful.

“Have a good shower?” He asked. Eijiro hummed in response, placing a kiss on his neck. Usually after that he was done, so he went back to stirring what he was cooking.

“You smell even better.” Eijiro placed another kiss on his neck, trailing his lips up to his ear. He felt the sun burn at his cheeks, peeking through the blinds and setting itself right behind him.

“Mouthwatering even.” He mumbled, before placing yet another kiss on his neck.

“You’re an idiot.” He smirked, but smugness was quickly replaced with absolute total love for the pair of lips adoring him. “I love you.” He whispered. I love you. I love you. I love you.

“I guess I’m an idiot that loves you, too.” Eijiro hugged them closer and he was met with wet skin.

“Go put on a shirt, dummy.” He meant to sound demanding, but he couldn’t help but sound breathless as Kirishima was now attacking his neck.

“Maybe I don’t wanna.” His voice shivered down his skin. Eijiro then took the spoon out of his hand, placing it down to grab his hips and turn him around.

Bakugou didn’t take even a second before placing their lips together, rolling his eyes as he saw his dumb boyfriend was still in his towel.

“Missed me so much you couldn’t even change?”

“Always, babe.”

Before he could break out an insult, Eijiro kissed him once again, hand rising to tangle in his hair.

Bakugou couldn’t lose himself completely, since something was still cooking on the stove. But it was hard not to, feeling his mouth move against his favorite pair of lips.

Kirishima pulled them apart, mouth now moving back to his skin. Apparently that shower was 100 miles away from how Eijiro was kissing his neck, with so much desire and longing. Like this was their last and their first all at the same time. He heard his breath falter as Kirishima put just a little pressure where his mouth was, and he was about to say he should turn off the stove when he felt something fall.

He automatically broke out in laughter as his boyfriend was now bright red, his towel pooling on the floor.

He quickly scooped it up to cover himself and Bakugou rolled his eyes,“Nothing I haven’t seen before, Eij.”

“Still!” His ridiculously, beautifully, insecure boyfriend screamed, flustered and embarrassed.

“Go get dressed, you goddamn hottie.” Eijiro’s eyes jumped out of their sockets and Bakugou let out a loud cackle as he scrambled to the bedroom. Despite his move to cover himself up, he could see the hint of backside as he retreated.

Eijiro was the mouthwatering one.

Now fully clothed, his boyfriend was tangled with him on the sofa, his back resting against his chest. Their legs were laced together, the occasional movement making Bakugou’s stomach puddle with affection. It was his turn to love on his boyfriend.

Kirishima was completely entranced with the news they were watching. Apparently Pink Cheeks was rising in the ranks. The gossipy news was ignoring the fact that she was a good hero and instead focusing on her apparent relationship with the engine guy of all people. Huh, cute.

Kirishima always loved to keep tabs on his classmates, which he found extremely, totally and  endearingly Kirishima. He somehow had notifications on for Kaminari, Mina, and Sero and he would devour every news article about them. The three were doing pretty good, making good sidekicks at the agencies they chose. But if Bakugou was being completely and blatantly honest, the only other hero he cared about the ranks of is the redhead’s that's resting all his love on him. And only sometimes Izuku and Todoroki.

He placed a kiss on Kirishima’s shoulder, grabbing his arm to place lingering kisses on every inch on one of his hard working hands. As the years went on, from his hardening, there were some scars starting to spread on his skin, but that just made him all the more perfect. He turned his hand to kiss his favorite one, right in the middle of his palm. Kirishima looked back at him from the corner of his eye, but despite his limited view, he could see a galaxy pouring out, spreading itself across the ceiling.

Hmm . So beautiful. Look at this wonderful hand.” Kirishima was all smiles. “How about these strong knuckles, huh?” He rubbed his lips up and down them, before placing a warm kiss on each joint.

“Don’t get me started on these amazing fingers.” He took his time with these kisses, each touch of his lips to rough skin transferring the absolute adoration he held inside him. And his fingers were amazing, the way they held him, touched him softly in his most tender places, protected him.

As he placed a final kiss on his thumb, he felt the sadness of being done. He loved being able to make his Eijiro feel special. He closed his eyes, bringing his hand up to his lips once more, kissing his wrist with so much force. He was so in love. So damn totally in love.

The sadness didn’t last that long, however, as Kirishima turned to him just that more.

“Aren’t you gonna do the other one?” He smiled. Of course he was.

Bakugou grinned at him so large, love pulling out his throat.

“I love you.” Forever, he thought. He grabbed his left hand now, bringing the back of it to his lips.

Kirishima turned around then, the look in his eyes full of sweetness. Bakugou has been thinking about forever lately, keeping this love for eternity. It seemed Kirishima was thinking the same, the way his eyes looked under his eyelashes, glistening with every star.

He placed a kiss on Bakugou’s lips, sliding up so their faces were that much closer. The sounds of their lips moving together the soundtrack to all that love. Their breathing an accompanying melody. Kirishima placed a kiss on his chin, magnificent hands finding the bottom of his t-shirt and exploring the skin underneath. He looked up then, asking permission with the love in his eyes. He nodded, placing a kiss on his nose for emphasis.

Kirishima smiled so softly, always so tenderly.

His shirt was pulled off so lightly, Eijiro’s touch a falling feather.

Warmth explored warmth as they found love within each other. Bakugou let out a small sigh, breathless and shaky. Kirishima looked up at him once more, thumbs now tugging at his shorts for silent permission.

“Can I, babe?” He whispered. Always the angel.

He nodded, now speechless from the look that Kirishima was giving him. His eyes were shining with every bit of love that wonderful heart somehow held for him. Colors twisted and spun around, creating a pool of every hue of cherry red. He felt so adored and desired.

Bakugou felt a heat pool throughout his body, his love pouring out like lava, following Eijiro wherever he went.

Gently, Eijiro began trailing kisses up and down his torso, reaching the place by his thumbs.

Another breath left his lungs, Eijiro's lips and touches proclaiming all his love.

They were laying in their bedroom now, Eijiro nuzzling his nose on the top of his head. “You’re so beautiful, my Katsuki, the way you love me.” Their embrace was now switched, Bakugou resting his back on Kirishima’s chest. Eijiro was rubbing his hands all over, giving him a light massage. “I love you so much. So glad you’re mine.”

Bakugou couldn’t respond, tired and overwhelmed with the sensation of being loved so completely.

“You okay? You feeling good, my love?” Eijiro was always so attentive, so much love spilling out of simple actions and words.

He nodded, catching one of the hands that was rubbing his opposite arm.

“You wanna take a nap? Before we eat some dinner?”

“Yeah, sounds good.”

“Okay. Close your eyes for me?” Eijiro began to rake his fingers in his hair, scratching his scalp slightly. His fingers ran gently up and down his hair, and the mere movement made him relax automatically. He closed his eyes as instructed, letting himself be engulfed in love and sleep.

He awoke from what felt like a second later, but he knew it had been at least an hour from the way the sun was beginning to set.

Kirishima was holding him so tightly, a snore escaping his beautiful lips.

They were still resting the way they were, Kirishima’s back leaning harshly on the bed frame.

He reached behind him the best that he could, swiping a piece of hair out of his eyes. He whispered, “Move. You’re gonna hurt your neck, baby.”

Eijiro let out a small, sleepily confused hum.

“Move down, come on.” He squeezed an arm that was wrapped around his waist.

“M’kay. Hmm. Love you m’baby love. Love you.” Kirishima slurred, still asleep. Katsuki chuckled, placing a kiss on his cheek as his embrace loosened.

They shifted down, Eijiro circling his waist with a light squeeze. It didn’t even take a second before his breaths slowed once more. Katsuki took in every breath that he let out, small hums and noises the prelude to his snores. He began to love the feeling of Eijiro’s breaths leaving his slightly open mouth, relishing in the small tickle.

He turned around then, facing the love of his life. He ghosted a thumb over his parted lips, feeling the roughness he loved to worship.

He loved him. So much. So entirely much. Every inch, every bit, every corner.

Katsuki placed a small kiss on his forehead before turning around to fall asleep in his favorite embrace.

Kirishima walked into the living room and Bakugou was completely speechless. He looked so goddamn hot in a suit it was completely, unbelievably unreal.

“Hey, babe? Do I look okay?” He was smoothing down his coat, the black of it looking really nice against his maroon colored shirt. Leave it to him to find a way to wear a form of red to a formal event. And of course, just to torture him, he had his hair tied back in a low bun. Fucking hell.

“That’s the dumbest question you’ve ever asked me.”

“Aw, babe! You’re so sweet!”

Bakugou rolled his eyes, “Shut up, we need to get going to the stupid thing.”

Kirishima had reserved a table with Denki, Sero, and Mina, much to Bakugou’s unvoiced protests. He knew it would make Kirishima happy, so he hadn’t said shit. However, he would have much rather would’ve preferred a table for just them.

He was automatically bombarded with the energy he had not missed with an excited greeting from the three.

“Blasty McSplode! I missed you!” Denki rose from where he was sitting to give him a big hug. He stiffened automatically, pushing him off, but was touched by the tears he saw in his eyes.

“Whatever, Dunce Face.” He said in lieu of “ I missed you too, idiot. ”

“Hey you two!” Sero only gave Kirishima a hug this time, as he was always the smarter of the two.

“Wow, don’t you two look handsome?” Mina gave them both kisses on the cheek, and finally they sat.

The music was way too loud, the people way too talkative, but when he felt a hand intertwine with his under the table, he couldn’t be that upset.

He had to admit, seeing everyone not on patrol was sort of nice. He had no idea how much he missed U.A. until they arrived at the building. He watched his classmates walk in one by one, kind of taken back by how much everyone had grown in three years.

Glancing over at the filled tables, he spotted Izuku and Todoroki sitting next to Pink Cheeks and the class rep. And Mr. No PDA had her hand in his, right in front of everyone. He mentally groaned at the lectures he used to give them, especially after he would kiss Kirishima right on the lips in front of him out of spite.

Izuku caught his eye and gave him a small wave and he knew that he would be coming to their table sooner or later with his boyfriend.

Present Mic started saying something about the classes and the top heroes and the ranks and being proud but it was all background noise to him.

The four were having a conversation, something about hero work and how their agencies were. All he could really pay attention to was the hand in his and the most handsome man he’d ever had the privilege to lay his eyes on talking so cheerfully with his friends. It was like they time traveled, like nothing had changed and they were in the common room talking into the night. He almost wanted to cry, longing for the time he hadn’t thought to miss.

Of course, Kirishima always seemed to be so in tune with him, so he let himself fall out of the conversation and turned to him.

“I’m gonna go to the restroom.” He got up from his seat and he saw Kirishima get up to follow.

When they reached the restrooms, Kirishima pulled him into a hug, placing a kiss on his forehead.

“You okay, baby love? Wanna ditch?” he asked.

“Sure, whatever. Don’t call me that in public, dumbass.”

“Aw, no one is in here. We could do whatever we want. Maybe even make out like we used to.” He teased.

“Shut up, I'm not gonna suck face with you in a dirty ass restroom.”

“Didn’t seem to mind in high school.” He smirked.

“My stupid boyfriend would pout the whole day if I didn’t kiss him 24/7.”

“Damn, he sounds terrible. Good thing you’re with this manly man now.”

He couldn't stop the smitten laughter that sounded out of him. “You’re literally a moron.”

Bakugou grabbed Kirishima’s chin, bringing their mouths together. He could feel Kirishima laughing against his lips, knowing that he always gets what he wants. He could never say no to his handsome idiot.

They stayed like that for embarrassingly long, it was like they were teenagers again, kissing in a damn bathroom between classes.

He heard the restroom door open, so quiet he almost thought his ears were playing tricks.

“You two have not changed a bit.” Of fucking course it was the engine guy.

Despite Iida being in the bathroom, Kirishima didn’t pull away. Instead he kissed him harder, bringing them closer together.

Iida ignored them, as he fucking should. But as soon as he went into the stall, Bakugou pulled away, the magic leaving and him being fully aware that he was kissing his boyfriend in front of toilets.

“Let me go say bye to the guys and Mina and we’ll go, okay?”

Kirishima grabbed his hand, leading him back to the table. He went to hug Sero and Kaminari, giving a kiss to Mina on her cheek.

Kirishima has always been terrible at hiding things, and that’s something that’s never gonna change. Which is why he didn’t miss the bag Kirishima thought he was being sneaky with, grabbing it from Kaminari.

“Bye you too, have fun!” Kaminari winked.

“See you later, love eagles.”

Mina said nothing, but was looking at Kirishima with a huge smile.

Huh, maybe they should see the three more often. They obviously missed each other by the way they were all damn teary eyed.

They decided to walk down the school, reaching the dorms automatically from where they were.

It was almost like he was hit by something, the way their first year dorms made his heart stop. It was like this building represented their start; where they started their relationship, where they started falling in love.

He can’t help but remember the first time they fell asleep together with their arms around each other. All he had wanted to do was kiss him, and he could feel Kirishima shaking next to him. That’s when the hope had started. The hope that Kirishima may like him as much as he did, that all he wanted to do when they were together was kiss until they fell asleep.

“Pretty crazy huh? I feel like I could just walk in the building and just find you waiting for me next door to my room.”

“Shut up.” He could feel himself wanting to cry, but he didn’t want to ruin the night by being a mess.

Soon they were at second year dorms, where another step was taken.

He remembers kissing him, so caught up in the moment. Hands finding every place to touch, lips exploring every inch of skin. It was the furthest they had gone and Bakugou was terrified. He knew he had to stop, so he pushed Kirishima away slightly.

“Babe, you okay?”

“No.”

“What’s wrong?” Kirishima lifted his hand to grab his face, stroking his cheek in the way he liked to.

“I’m not…”

“Katsuki. We’re not doing anything we’re not ready for.”

We’re ?”

“I’m nervous too! We can stop, okay?” Kirishima gave him a finalizing kiss on his forehead, scooting up so he was no longer laying underneath him.

“Okay.”

“I love you, Katsuki.”

It was then he realized he’d never be terrified for anything, as long as he had his favorite red head by his side.

“I love you more, Eij.”

Kirishima interrupted his thoughts with a tug at his arm, and Bakugou hadn’t even noticed that he had stopped in his tracks.

“You okay?”

“Yeah, let's keep going.”

Finally they had reached the third year dorms and he was hit with something harsh, bittersweet. These dorms possibly had the sweetest, but hardest of memories. It seemed like Kirishima was feeling the same things too, as he brought them both to a bench that was outside. It was the same one they had sat on when Kirishima had asked him an important question, eyes blazing with fear.

“Katsuki. We’re graduating soon, right?”

“Obviously, dumbass.”

Kirishima sighed, grabbing his hand with such force that all joking in his head had subsided.

“What's up, Eij?”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Anything, baby.” He knew the look already, eyes saddened, lips shaking, hands sweaty. He was going to talk about his parents.

“I know I said our first year that I never wanted you to meet my parents but..” He sighed, and all Bakugou wanted to do was take that pain out of his mind and explode it.

He began rubbing his thumb up and down Kirishima’s, hoping that the movement would bring him comfort.

“Can you go with me this weekend to meet my parents? You don’t have to say yes.”

Bakugou would do absolutely anything for Kirishima, but it was hard to say yes to this request.

“Are you sure? Baby, are you going to be okay if I do that?”

“Maybe.” He answered, and all Bakugou could do then was kiss his impending tears away.

That weekend, they had found themselves at Kirishima’s door. His boyfriend had his hand in a vice grip, like he was holding on for dear life.

The door opened automatically as they reached it, his mother reaching out her arms to Kirishima with tears. Eijiro only visited his mother when his dad went out of town, so it had been a while.

“My little boy!” She said, arms out in wait. Kirishima hardened his hand, but Bakugou didn’t flinch. He let him put all his pain on him, just so he could know he was safe with him here.

He let go reluctantly, leaving Bakugou standing there while he went to hug his mother.

He watched Kirishima, his face, his movements, his body language. It was almost like they were in a battle, waiting for a villain to come.

“Well, introduce me to your...special friend, sweetie!”

And suddenly, Bakugou knew what Kirishima meant when he would say, “ She’s okay with it, but you can just tell .”

Kirishima turned to him, and the fear in his eyes was numbing. But the feeling in his limbs came back as Kirishima held his hand once again, like it was the only thing holding him to the world.

He led him to his mother, and she gave Bakugou a friendly smile.

“Mom, this is Bakugou, my-uh boyfriend.”

“It's so nice to finally meet you, sweetie!”

He was pulled into a hug and all Bakugou could do was say “Yeah.”

His dad never came home.

After they left his house, riding the bus back to the dorms, Kirishima became inconsolable once they walked into Bakugou’s room.

Tears were pouring out quickly and he had to remind Kirishima to breathe. He looked at him so helplessly and as soon as Bakugou embraced him, he felt his arms harden around him.

Kirishima was practically screaming, but he didn’t have the heart to tell him to quiet down. Bakugou felt a lump in his throat and suddenly he was crying too, knowing he’ll never be able to take away the pain that resided in Kirishima’s heart.

“Breath for me, angel.” And he did.

“One more, huh? A big one.” He kissed the top of his head while Kirishima inhaled.

His emotions were like a cycle. Once it seemed like Kirishima would stop crying, it was like it hit him all over again. All Bakugou could do was tell him to breathe.

“Please. Tell me what to do. Baby. Please.”

With the smallest of whisperers, Kirishima said “Love me.” It sounded like he was begging, pleading him to do the thing he’s done ever since he’d met him.

And that's when Bakugou knew, even though he couldn’t take away his pain, he could love him through it.

All the memories weren’t so sad, however. He glanced again at the third year dorms, where he and Eijiro took that next step on their last day before graduation.

They both had looked deeply into each other's eyes, and it was like a storm was brewing in his fingertips. They knew without words what they were ready to do, but they said it anyway. And all they could say while the storm was falling, lighting shocking his nerves, rain flooding throughout his limbs, thunder falling out of his lips, was that they loved each other.

Kirishima got up from the bench then, reaching out his hand for him to follow, and they started walking again.

They found themselves in a secluded area and he recognized it automatically.

He looked up at Kirishima with a smile.

“Wha-? How did we get here?“ Eijiro couldn’t contain his smile.

He pulled out that bag he thought he was doing a good job of hiding to lay down a blanket.

“You gotta be kidding me.” He laughed. Of course the cheesy dork would want to recreate their first date while they were here.

Eijiro placed the blanket on the grass below them, the stars jumping to caress his hair as he lifted once again.

“Take a seat, Kats!” He sat quickly as Kirishima plopped himself down.

“Made me come all the way here just so we can sit on a blanket outside?“

“Yup!”

“You cheesy idiot.” He laughed, reaching over to place a kiss on his cheek.

“Lay down with me?” Kirishima asked, the hint of tears in his eyes.

“Katsuki.” He said, love dripping out of his mouth like goddamn honey. He was sitting cross legged now, looking at him like he was the galaxy.

“Katsuki. You are my soulmate. The wonderful, beautiful love of my life. Ever since I—I met.” Kirishima was crying now, big gorgeous tears in his eyes.

“Sorry. Sorry. Ever since I met you, I knew you were meant to be mine. We’re made for each other. Literally made for each other. And ever since—ever since.” He laughed, taking a second to wipe away his tears. Didn’t he notice he wanted to cry, too? “Damn. Sorry . Ever since you let me in, I knew you were my new home. I never feel alone when I’m with you. You’re my absolute favorite person in the world and I always want to come home. To you. I want to love you forever.”

He got up, only to get down one knee like the dork he was.

“Katsuki. Sweetheart. Baby Love. My love.” He grinned big and wide before continuing.  ”My Bakulove. Will you--will you--” He started crying again, not being able to get the words out.

He can’t believe he gets to marry this wonderful idiot.

Bakugou bent down, placing their mouths together, soaking in all the sun radiating from him. The galaxy within his eyes quickly overtook the beams as Eijiro glanced at him with glimmering tears, each drop a constellation.

He can’t believe he has a piece of the sun forever, a cluster of a galaxy, an embodiment of all his love and adoration.

The most loving breath left Eijiro’s lungs, “Will you marry me, Katsuki?”

Yes. Yes. A million fucking times hell yes you wonderfully handsome, stupidly kind, beautifully perfect, bastard. I love you I love you I love you.

Kirishima looked at him nervously, and he realized he hadn’t said any of that out loud.

“Yes.” And suddenly he wasn’t bent down anymore, the world spinning and whirring around him as Eijiro embraced and picked him up and spun him with all his love.

Walking hand and hand back to where the stupid reunion was held, Kirishima let out a laugh.

“Oh, I forgot. You better call your mom and tell her I finally asked.”

“My mom? Why the hell…?“ and then he realized.

“I kinda…went to your house and asked permission.”

Bakugou felt his heart soar. He didn’t know why this made him on the verge of tears again, but he wanted to kiss his goddamn boyfriend. Fucking manly angel.

“She’s been calling me, or really, texting me everyday. It’s kinda cute! I’m touched that she's that excited.”

“Why wouldn’t she be? They goddamn love you.” Possibly more than they love their own son, but it’s understandable. Who wouldn’t be head over heels for this perfection in any form of love?

“You think so?” He laughed.

Oh he fucking thinks so.

Ever since they told them about their relationship, it was a flood of Kirishima love from those two. Especially when he told them Eijiro’s parents weren’t the most accepting.

He knew his parents especially loved him when Eijiro received presents on his birthday, directly from his parents. He got two, when even Izuku usually only got one. One year his parents even called him to say happy birthday early in the morning. The look in Kirishima’s eyes had been so cute, that he actually wanted to call and thank his mom. But he didn’t.

When he did rarely call his mom, she would ask about his grades and Eijiro’s. Ask about his hero work and Eijiro’s. He would grunt and say “Why don’t you call him your damn self!?” But he was honestly so happy that his parents loved him. Kirishima deserved every form of love, especially when his own parents didn’t seem to want to step up to the plate and love their own son.

One time, he caught his dad calling Eijiro his son, and he almost wanted to scream. He quickly ran away from his unintentional eavesdropping to pace around his room like an idiot.

He remembers a conversation between him and his mom, where he was dragged to the living room during the winter holidays. His mom had begged him to invite Kirishima over for at least a day. He was about to tell her to fuck off and say his boyfriend has his own shit, but the look in her eyes made him stop.

“Katsuki. I just want to tell you, I’m so glad you found Eijiro. Even if you two were just friends, we would love him all the same. He just brings out something in you that's so good. Do you understand that?”

“No.” He said, honestly.

“Don’t be difficult, Katsuki. I’m being serious with you.” She sighed, surprising him by giving him a small smile.

“Whatever.”

“You treat that boy good, and I know he’ll treat you good back. I don’t think you can see how much you love each other.”

He just rolled his eyes, wanting to leave this conversation that was making him feel uncomfortable. Him and his mom only talked in bad moods and yells. Nothing like this, ever. He also didn’t want to talk to his mom about exactly how much he and Eijiro loved each other.

It was embarrassing, just how much his heart belonged to Eijiro.

“Are you done now, hag?”

“Yes, you brat. I'm done. Go be difficult somewhere else.”

It wasn’t surprising at all that his mom was basically harassing his boyfriend to propose, so it was Kirishima’s mistake for doing something so stupidly sweet.

He pulled himself out of his mind to ask, “Wait, when the hell did you go and do that?”

Kirishima laughed, the most wonderful sound on earth, “Oh, when I said I had to leave early for hero patrol.”

“Monday?”

“Yup!”

“Damn, can’t believe I’m marrying a liar.”

“Yup! Sorry you’re stuck with me!” He joked, swinging their hands like he always does.

“Come on, liar, let’s go tell the losers.”

With their palms intertwined, they walked back into where it all started.

When they were finally home, they couldn’t keep their lips off each other.

Every piece of his love was pouring out of his mouth, and he couldn’t stop laughing. His happiness was overflowing, unable to hold it to himself as Kirishima opened the door to their apartment. As soon as the door was open, Eijiro immediately grabbed his hand, practically running them to their bedroom.

Then suddenly, his hand placed on the doorknob, Eijiro began to cry right at the doorway.

“Baby?” He asked, tears springing in his own eyes.

“I can’t believe you’re mine forever.”

Overwhelmed with emotion, he cried out, “Me either, baby.”

“Please don’t call me that right now.” He let out a teary laugh.

“Why not, baby ?”

“Please. I’ll start crying.”

“You’re already crying, angel .”

“Katsuki…” he laughed once again, his face stained with tears.

He couldn’t take it anymore, so he grabbed his arm and walked them to their bed.

“Come on then, Eijiro Bakugou .” He smirked.

“Oh my god .” Tears came pouring out quickly out of his beautiful boyfriend.

He grabbed his arms, pulling him down to the bed with a big kiss.

And they just laid there, Bakugou wiping the tears off Eijiro’s eyes.

“Hey, no more crying, alright?” He kissed the remaining tears off his eyes and Eijiro finally smiled, full of affection.

“I’m so in love with you, Katsuki.” And then he did what he always does when they were lying like this.

Eijiro’s arms wrapped around his waist, nose nuzzling in his neck, a kiss placed between the crook.

“Good thing I’m marrying you then.” He teased.

“Good thing I’m marrying you.” Eijiro’s laugh was bordering on tired.

Eijiro yawned, giving him a hard squeeze as he nuzzled even further into him.

“Baby, we have to change out of our clothes.”

“Sorry, can’t come to the phone right now. I’m sleeping.”

“Suit yourself, then.” He attempted to wiggle out of Eijiro’s arms, but he had him in a strong grip.

“Don’t leave me. We’ll change later. In the morning.” Eijiro reached up to place small kisses on his cheek.”

“You’re lucky that I love you.”

They stayed like that, then, arms and legs intertwined, holding each other with all their love.

Katsuki couldn’t believe that he’s holding the piece to his whole eternity. That his whole entire world was his forever. That he’d get to kiss his favorite pair of lips for the rest of his life. That he’d get to love Eijiro infinitely.

“I love you, Eijiro.” and finally he let himself cry, laughter, tears, and love growing stronger by the second.

“I love you too, Katsuki.”

Eijiro placed his lips on his, the sun shining on their first night of forever, as beautiful and bright as their love.
