EPILOGUE
Chaeyoung and I were sitting on a bench at the top of a hill in LA, enjoying the evening breeze with burger and shakes in our hands. After that afternoon confession, we decided to grab dinner and have a little date. We knew we couldn't just go anywhere, considering how crazy the paparazzi are in LA, so Chaeyoung suggested us to go somewhere quiet, away from the crowds.
“This has been my favorite spot ever since before I debuted. I would go here anytime I needed a peaceful place to clear my head.” She said.
"This is very beautiful." I said. We can see LA from up here. With city lights just below us and stars above us. This place is so perfect.
“So… what now, Lisa? Have you really thought about this? About us?” Chaeyoung asked.
“Hmm.. not completely. I haven't thought in detail about my future plans. But I've been thinking about moving here." I said.
"What?? Are you serious? What about YG??” She sounded shocked. Maybe she didn't expect that to come from me.
"Yeah. It's not a big of a deal. Besides, I think it's easier for me to be the one moving here. I would not leave YG and Blackpink though. I love those girls so much I know I can't just leave them. But I can take my job per project instead of a yearly contract. So I'll just come back to Korea for like 1 or 2 months whenever Blackpink is having a comeback. So I'll drop my regular job at YG and turn that into some sort of freelancing as Blackpink's choreographer exclusively. And as for LA, well, I could get a job here. I'm sure LA needs one hell of a choreographer or trainer like me, right?” I said that to her with a playful grin on my face. She laughed, and pulled me into a hug.
"Oh thank you so much, Lisa. You don't know how much this means to me." she said as she loosened our hug.
"Don't mention it. Besides, I really wanna do this. I think it's gonna be so much fun learning new culture and stuff. Besides, you went all the trouble settling a Korean agency so you could get a proper foundation there, so I think I could just do the same.” I said.
"Right! We'll make both Korea and LA our homes!” she said excitedly.
“No, Chaeng—” I said, she turned her head to face me.
“—my home is wherever you are. You are my home, Park Chaeyoung."
She just smiled, and leaned in to kiss me softly. Then she rested her head on my shoulder and we just sat there, enjoying each other's company. There's nothing like doing nothing with her. With a glass of half-finished milkshake in both of our hands, and silence, everything felt so perfect.
Fin.
