Chapter Text
Kagami shifted, the movement waking Marinette up.
“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” she smiled apologetically.
“No problem, I needed to wake up soon anyway,” she yawned, half-grinning.
Mari sat up, her hair pressed into the side of her face.
Kagami smiled again. She was so cute. Leaning forward to kiss her on the forehead, she brushed Mari’s hair behind her ear.
“We should go. We said we’d meet up with Luka and Adrien, remember?”
Marinette yawned again.
“Oh, yeah. What should I wear?”
“How about... that light pink top that looks amazing on you and some plain black leggings?”
Marinette grinned at her girlfriend, climbing down the ladder attached to her bed.
“What, you mean the one that has straps crisscrossing all down the back?”
Kagami wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, smirking. Marinette burst into laughter.
“Alright, but I’ll wear a jacket on top.”
Kagami pouted.
“I’ll get cold otherwise!” she protested.
“Fine, but you’re wearing my jacket.”
Giggling, Marinette grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom.
“I’ll be five minutes,” she called. “Try and be dressed by the times I get back, okay?”
“Try?” Kagami called back, smirking again.
She already knew Marinette’s face was burning.
“You know what I mean! Now hurry up or we’ll be late.”
Kagami heard the bathroom door shut. She slid down the bed’s ladder, looking for her gym bag with her clothes in it. She chose dark blue jeans and a deep red top with off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Tying her second favourite hoodie round her waist- just in case Marinette forgot to ask- she sat on the floor, scrolling through Instagram for another few minutes until Marinette knocked on the bedroom door.
“You done?” she asked.
“Yep! You can come in,” Kagami replied.
She entered, looking gorgeous. She’d chosen to wear her hair down, with the top half clipped up. She was wearing light makeup (Kagami’s favourite look) and to top it all off had put on her rainbow choker with the words “MY GIRL” across the front. Marinette nibbled her lip and looked down.
“What do you think?” she asked shyly.
“I think you look like my world.”
Mari blushed and giggled.
“Shall we go then?”
“I’ve just gotta go to the loo really quick, then we can, alright?”
The other girl nodded.

Five minutes later, they were strolling down the side of the Seine. Marinette had agreed to meet Luka and Adrien on the Couffaine boat. They were chatting about what they’d call their future hamster.
“Nibbles? Nibbles is cute,” Kagami suggested.
“I guess. Personally I think lOnLiIiIiIiIiNeEeEeEeSsSsSs is better, but I suppose Nibbles is okay.”
They both burst into laughter, earning strange looks from passing pedestrians.
“Huh? Why would we name a hamster after me?”
“That’s what your nightmare Adrien said, wasn’t it?”
Marinette laughed again.
“Ooh, ooh I know! Cat Noir!”
“Huh?”
Kagami didn’t remember Marinette telling her about this one before. Marinette’s cheeks flushed.
“Oh, uh I- Cat Noir told me about it once! We used to have midnight conversations. He told me he’d asked Ladybug out once, but had gotten carried away with it and imagined a reveal and was talking about getting a hamster when she interrupted with ‘Cat Noir!’.”
“Oh, that was in ‘Frozer’, right?”
“Mhm!” Mari nodded, then shivered. “It’s cold.”
“Oh! Sorry, I’ve been carrying my jacket round, I just forgot to give it to you.”
Kagami untied the zip hoodie from her waist and gave it to her girlfriend.
It was dark red, with black spots dotted randomly around it. Marinette gave it a strange look before she put it on. Kagami noticed and stored the information in the back of her brain for future usage.
“Oh, look, there they are!” Marinette said cheerfully, her face splitting into a grin.
She waved at them enthusiastically, then sprinted off in their direction. Kagami sighed, smiling, following suit. They arrived slightly breathless (though Kagami would never admit to it) and pink in the cheeks.
“Hey, thanks for agreeing to meet us,” Luka smiled.
“No problem!” Marinette grinned back.
“So, me and Adrien wanted to talk to you about something. I don’t know if you’ve noticed how close we’ve become over the past few months, but-“
“We’re dating!” Adrien burst out suddenly.
“Baaaabe! You stole my thunder!” Luka whined.
“Aw, I’m sorry, sweetie,” Adrien said, pecking Luka on the cheek. “Does that help?”
He smiled, then turned nervously towards the girls.
“So, um, what do you think? About us, I mean.”
Marinette spun round, beaming.
“Can we tell them? Pleaaaaase?”
Kagami smiled at her girlfriend’s face.
“Go on then.”
“Us too!”
Adrien and Luka blinked at them.
Marinette rubbed the back of her head.
“Yeah, I’m bi and it turns out Kagami’s a lesbian, heh.”
“I’m pan! Luka’s bi as well,” Adrien grinned. “I knew you never properly liked me Kagami. I’m so smart.”
“Yes you are, babe,” Luka smiled, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s waist.
“Wait so was that all you wanted to tell us?” Kagami asked.
Luka and Adrien nodded in unison.
“Well... do you wanna go for ice cream?” Marinette grinned.
“ANDRÉ HERE WE COME!!!” Adrien yelled, grabbing Luka’s hand and pulling him along down the road.
Marinette cheered, running after him.
“Do you even know where you’re going?!” Kagami asked, jogging to catch them up. “You know André moves around, right?”
“Well we’ll look for him then!” Marinette laughed, holding out her hand to her girlfriend.
The girls intertwined fingers, following the boys as they laughed and chatted together.
