Chapter Text
He'd been trying to get a kiss all day.
First, it was Toji leaving for work- a quick peck on the forehead. Satoru had tried to call for more from beneath the blankets, but found an empty bedroom in the blink of an eye.
Second, it was at lunch- Satoru had brought Toji something for at the range before he himself had to go to a late lesson. Toji had looked at him from behind the soundproof door, equipment over his eyes and ears as he taught a young man with dark hair and eye bags how to hold a pistol. Forgiveness, he pleaded with those eyes, and Satoru smiled and motioned he'd put the food in the mini fridge under the register. Toji blew a smooch his way, and Satoru withheld the urge to rip the door open and demand more.
Third, was late at night. He'd been working with his student for well over the allotted time, but both student and teacher were at a loss for time management as they felt a breakthrough approaching. He'd barely registered his phone buzz in his back pocket, only checking to see he'd missed a message after a few hours had passed.
From Toji:
You free? We can make up for lunch~
A kissing emoji punctuated the text, and Satoru wanted to curse at himself for having his proverbial blinders on. He dismissed the student, making an appointment on his calendar for two weeks' time, and hurried to text Toji back.
To Toji:
Sorry- was busy. You still up?
He paused, finger hovering, thinking back with a gentle smile how much this sounds like their first initial conversations. A warm feeling brushed his heart, fanning his insides with a smoldering heat, and Satoru pressed send right as another text came through.
From Toji:
You're still at the office, right?
A knock pulled Satoru from reading, his eyes meeting the sturdy shadow that lingered in the hallway, turning the door handle, walking in with that tired grin and mischievous eyes.
"Thought I'd find you here. You so mad I didn't give you a proper kiss, you'd make me chase after you?" He teased, and Satoru huffed.
"I wasn't exactly running anywhere! What- were you so overtaken by guilt that you raced here to meet me?"
Toji hummed, closing in on Satoru's personal space, tilting his head upwards with calloused hands and watching Satoru's eyes flutter closed as the familiar warmth of his breath fanned over his face.
"Maybe I did- whatever can I do to make ya' forgive me?" Toji mused, leaning in, lips brushing against Satoru's while their bodies pressed further into and against one another, desperate for warmth and contact.
"A kiss, for starters," Satoru murmured, his own hands finding Toji's hips and tugging on his belt, "I'm sure we can come together to find out how best to pay this debt of yours."
"Come together, you say?" Toji sneered, licking a small stripe across Satoru's lower lip, "I guess I should put myself in more debt to you if that's all I have to do."
Satoru's laughter rang through them, around them, filling out the space of the room and flooding Toji's eardrums with the music of it. He chuckled along with him, peppering him with kisses before pulling the white haired man in for a deep, long, breathless kiss.
One that didn't have him complaining for quite some time.
