Hello Readers,
I still get reviews on this every couple of months, usually asking for updates and I just wanted to address that.
It's been two years since my last update and there's a reason for that. Life in general is a good enough reason, I suppose, but what it boils down to is age and maturity. I am not the same person I was when I began writing this fic in 2016. A lot of things have changed for me as a writer and me as a person and I honestly can't even go back and read this work and be proud of it. I don't like Nessie's characterization mostly and I approached Nessie & Jacob's relationship with a very narrow-minded, fairytale-esque mindset, ignoring overused tropes and exposing others to triggers with no real story progression to "excuse" them.
That being said, as many of you may have noticed, I will be marking this fic as completed or orphaned or whatever AO3 does with fics that will never be completed. I am contemplating deleting it entirely but I realize some people may still like revisiting this story - as I do with some of my old favorites - so feel free to comment opinions on whether you'd like it to remain up for re-reading or not.
I do want to take the time to thank the readers and reviewers of this fic. There were people who followed this consistently since 2016 and while a part of me feels like it's letting you all down, a larger part is aware that I didn't present you with my best to begin with.
I may re-write this same plot with a multitude of differences that reflect my ability as a writer now, but that won't be for a long time yet. If I do, it will be uploaded under this same username so if you're interested in seeing that - with no ETA of upload - feel free to subscribe to my author page.
